  1. This got to be Christ on another alt cause you keep saying I wasn't at Marsh Harbor. I was very much there cause if every one remembers I made a post about the Forts being an instant 500 points in PB and that was to much points. If any one notice they aren't worth much now and a lot harder to kill (if your mortar Brig is in range of the forts your in range of it too). While I did make it to Harbour Island and many of those LR port battles cause I been working 3rd shift for over a year and half now. I leave for work around 9-9:30pm. Most US prime time port battles are from 8pm till later. I could be in some but than I would have to leave half way through it. So instead I actually gone with the screening fleet if I had time, but most the time I didn't. So Christ or who ever this is as it's only been you that keep accusing me of not being at Marsh Harbor (See below I'm at the PB as Suicidal Tendencies my shallow water alt). What does my battles in the past have to do with a screen shot of a battle that you weren't in either. I'm only stating what I see from the screen shot. That has nothing to do with you or me, so let the guys that showed up to that PB explain why they came in DLC ships and left. I'm going to bet it was part of a double flip to try to split the GB forces between that port and the one WO took. So not only are ya'll night flippers, but your double flippers, but hay WO is your butt buddy so what do I care. I hope they do this coalition thing so they have to leave France and just join ya'll cause we all know VCO and WO aren't ever going to fight each other.
  2. If no one shows for 30 mins it's a straight up win for the one side that did show. So yah you can just not cap them, but if a fleet pops in at the last moment you wasted your time. Just cap the circles and be done with it. I seen fleets show up late on the old system and than demolish the defenders. I seen it happen on this new system too. I seen fleets try to slip in late and also pop in right in the middle of the attackers, in irons and no prep/cannons loaded. Kinda felt bad for those guys as they where trying something new against us and it backfired.
  3. The cut off time is 30 mins from when the PB started (when you can actually move). That means if no one shows on either side and the other side has at least one player it's an Auto win for that team. After the first 10 mins it only takes 20 mins to cap out all three circles and win. I think it's actually shorter than that so you should have all the points any way before the battle is closed hit. If you haven't capped all three circles and been gaining points that their fault for not doing so. So I really don't get what he's talking about cause they should have all the points before the lock timer even kicks in and if they do that one or two guys showing up at the last moment won't matter.
  4. The info tab would of gave us more detail. Timer might be up, BR might of been hit, the magic of Devs ever changing thigns without proper patch notes? Really it's hard to know these days any more.
  5. any luck on that hotfix for the port missions and using alts/other nations chars to take missions to flip ports? You said you should have an hotix for it soon and that was last week. Just seeing if this is going to get resolved soon.
  6. The main port prob should be only hit with Port Battles. What they can do is make raids count as hostility. Each raids adds hostility to the Capital Port until it sets the port battle. Than once they taken the main port they can attack the others. As for the timer thing I mention you can bump up the cost of the timers to effect the whole region, but I would also say that subports get 5% of there tax while the other 5% goes to who ever owns the capital and has the regions timer set. Right now no one is putting timers on sub region ports cause unless some one uses an exploit you can't attack a sub region port without capturing the capital first. The capitals have the best points to do crafting ships out of, the other ports tend to have low points so they can have a rare resources or a few normal if some one wants along with extra defense if needed for coast line.
  7. Guess that fight was to late for you? This is why it cracks me up when Chris says I avoid fights. Just like others with school (You) and work (many others) we can't make all the fights. Looked like ya'll kinda showed up to not fight. While GB showed to fight....maybe they didn't need timers cause they had the folks to fill it?
  8. Yah that was part of the point, it wasn't a brag it was for two things. Point out they have lost a lot of ships this week. There is another one where they lost the exact same amount of ships as US did but 2 guys got out (it wasn't a hostility missions but out side them). Those hostility missions are a death sentence if some one jumps in. Every time in the past we tried to stay up late to flip ports we lost most of the guys cause of the missions being jumped in and fighting both AI and players, now AI are even more stronger. If KoC actually had some balls and as good as he acts like all the time he wouldn't be hiding behind such a late night timer. They do it cause they know most folks don't stay up that late in the game and play so it keeps them safe. At one time I don't think they would of filled San Aug if we had been able to flip it and that was why they keep it so late. We all know his guys can be on during other time zones cause they show up at EU and US prime times all the time. Than lets not get into the fact that WO and VCO refuse to fight each other when they are the two strongest RvR clans in the US time zone. Instead they both like picking on weak easy targets instead.
  9. Did I say that? No I didn’t. My point is it doesn’t make them god op ships. Just look at the San Aug port battle the other night. While US one the port battle we got slaughtered and we had a good number of new built ships in that fit. All that HP and thickness didn’t do crap when I had 3-5 guys shooting at me. It doesn’t do crap when folks get boarded and don’t know how to get out of it. Bad players will always be bad players. We where out fought but we won cause we played the circle game to keep enough points to win. With time most nations will have these ports set up. The smart ones are pooling resources and clans helping each other out to make them.
  10. Thickness really doesn’t help if your under 250m brawling. Yes if every on. Lines up and fires from a distance the thicker ship will bounce more shots. Other wise most fights turn into brass and than that thickness doesn’t mean much at all.
  11. You know a bit off topic but having the main port set the timer for all sub ports of the region would be nice. I would have it collect a portion of the sub ports tax’s too. I might make a suggestion about this. back on topic this means raids only work on the sub ports but you have to have a port battle with the main as wa means to win the region.
  12. It's not the same place for all ships, but would be nice to have a 3D modle of each ship to tell you something like this. I know where a few are from trial and error in combat, but other than that I don't have a clue where some of the second mags are located on some of the SOL's.
  13. not boasting about anything, that was there attempt over the weekend with another battle that they lost the same as the US. French aren't getting away with this without taking a good bit of lost too. They act like they don't sink, but they sure do when in a hostility mission. Which is death for any one pretty much fighting 10 AI and 10 Players. I'm actually surprise Sir John didn't post that....oh wait I think he's on the ban list too like half the players. Makes me wonder why you use your US alt to post on here, could it be your main one got ban too? I'm only guessing but hay more power to you....
  14. That depends how well ya'll do in Hostlity missions....I been asked why we haven't posted this one. Ye'll didn't do to well the other day did you now? It's a bit harder to get 25 folks out at 2am in the morning than it is in a prime time. I would like to add about this picture, if your caught properly in hostility missions it's pretty much a death sentence no matter what skills you have.

  16. I don't get the ships they picked where some of the most popular ships and with no way to get them other than PvE grinding. I loved the Reno myself but when this last one sinks it will be my last one for a long time. If the normal is suppose to be Oak/Oak than the normal AI needs to be balanced against this. They seem super beefed up in the 1st rate hostility missions, not epic even level but pretty beefy. If we are going to go after some elite 5th rate than we might be in trouble, just to capture a rare ship we want to sail and craft? It better have some special paint too.
  17. Pirates is also sold as hard mode. So that is why you have a Freetown so close. You shouldn’t even have a capital and should only work out of freetowns but pirate mechanic
  18. If you own a sub port of a region and the capital is capture you can take missions against the capital to take it back. By them taking ports with legacy mechanics (still an exploit as it’s nit how it’s meant for o work) they bypass frontlines and can attack from behind enemy lines. You can solve all this by making an official post stating it’s not how the mechanic is designed and than state if used it’s exploiting. Other wise folks will keep doing it. The problem is we don’t know if the wipe/release is next week, month or year. Until we have to deal with your lack of response and policy on such exploits being abused until you fix them in a week, months or etc. that is time others are spending to legit test your game and give feed back. It was found and reported so Devs can easly roll the ports back to neutral and declare all use of exploits illegal but you seem to not care about your player base and keeping players happy that feel like you let folks abuse the game mechanics just to be toxic and play the game there way.
  19. For some but 2pm is easier to deal with on the weekends. That why you notice most port battles against off timers are done on the weekend.
  20. If you leave your front door open and I walk into your house and took something form it. It’s ok cause the door was open right. By design you wanted me to come in? Same thing if you leave your keys in the car and I take it for a joy ride. The keys was in it so you meant for me to take it. just cause you can do something doesn’t mean you should. Admin said they where not designed to do that. Missions where hotfix to drop at server reset. The other issue of taking a port with an alt/other nation player is suppose to be hot fixed. That means both where not designed to be used in the new system. Admin even told me it was a call they prob shouldn’t of made but since we are close to wipe they didn’t think it was a big deal as they work on other things. That honestly comes down to when the wipe comes. A few weeks, months or years from now. Either way you still gained it through an exploit in the system that hasn’t been patched out. Very true but also when was the last time you seen WO fight a shallow water PB? They tend to stay to deep water ships. Would be interesting to see how many played that haven’t played small ships do when forced into only them. Grinding out these capital ports is going to be a major pain in the arse for sure only in 5/6th rate redeemable. Back to OP we all know that certain clans don’t care about what’s right or wrong or even fair play. Let’s just hope the devs get the hotfix in place and quickly to release and wipe as they can. Cause nothing is going to be done until than.
  21. I agree with this. Your getting an instant free ship that cost nothing to craft. Now give us an option to get a BP and craft the DLC ships and than allow the perks. Maybe have a one time use BP drop from special chest or something for them.
  22. To bad most of us have jobs and can’t be up past midnight. We all know y’all can fight in normal timers but you hide behind them instead. We also know y’all don’t have balls to fight the pirates. The other strong RVR force. Sounds more like actions of cowards and exploiters. After wipe you have to come at us per legit rules. Let’s see how far y’all get with that.
  23. Good for y’all not like screening works against defenders any way but still y’all tend to avoid fighting each other when you both the strongest RVR groups of that time zone. Actiy no you wouldn’t cause we did the same thing and guys learned. You still would of been just shortS. Just short still isn’t a win. Next time we just got to stay alive longer to get better results. Doesn’t really matter as you hide behind late night timers and exploit ports you shouldn’t have. We will see after release how well y’all do.
  24. If ya'll scuttle it the first time you got your kill count. What gave us the points is cause some one put crew on it and than you scuttled it. I learned this a long time ago on my first port battle against US at Wilmington when Pirates turned a 996 point victory the US thought it had and beat them. They put crew on all there cap ships and we sunk them to instantly drop there points way down. From than on pirates never left crew on ships until after battle was over than we went to cap them. Old legacy system in game, much like something else ya'll used....hmmmmm. By the way US also screwed up putting crew on that last 1st rate too so it cost us points and than cost ya'll points.
