Loorkon was battle commander not Jake. Though I think the points you got was at the last second as it was pretty much 600-700 range for both sides most of the battle. Remember the point is to make 1000 points if you don't do that you loose. If we make if before you we win, so we just got to do that or prevent you. A lot of mistake made on both sides. I do think it was a very big learning experience and considering US was going against a very season veteran PvP team we did better than expected. Even though you had the pirates there screening for you. As much as your groups bitch about not getting PvP you think ya'll would actually fight each other. WO fleet limping back would of been a nice prime target for the pirates to have hit, but nah ya'll got to be all buddy buddy's and such.

I can see woods from special ports or goods from the port like Cooper or other goods. i kinda wish agro was done for ports where you have to raid regions. Each raid adds agro to the capital. -

Prussia actually had Vieques for like 4 years in the 1600's so that would prob be the logical historic place to make there capital, but it's very close to the Danes capital. I really don't know where they would put Polish or Russia. I mean only polish was some troops stationed in Cuba and Russia wasn't even active in this area except maybe some trade ships if anything. -

I'm not getting you? Your calling me ridiculous (we don't have to call each other names to get our points across) and your wanting them to scrap code and start all over pretty much and what does PvP exclusive zones have anything to do with this topic? The only time I brought up a PvP zone was to make a zone that is FFA where any one can attack any one no matter nation or coalition. That would make the guys happy that complain they have no one to fight. Hell I would make it a SOLO PvP zone and put it some where in the middle of the map. Now back to topic I"m for the Coalition cause it reduces the game to 5 groups. Each of these groups will have sub groups. This is actually very simple for them to do with the old alliance system we have all ready tested. All they do is turn on the alliance for those nations in each of the Coalitions and it's done. No changing code, no limiting numbers, which never works in games cause you still get the best of the best pilled into one nation. No forcing us to suddenly attack our friends. If you don't like the alliance of your coalition than you can use forge papers and switch to a nation that is in another coalition or just delete and make a new char. The only folks that this change would effect the most are the die hards that has to play one nation and only that one nation. They can still do it, but now they have an alliance with other nations within it's coalition. The only big issue I see with the Coalitions is that which has been mention above or past post of the die hards that want to play and deal with only certain nations and the ones that might have to change nations to kill another nation they are farming currently cause of TIME zone and easy kills. The other big issue would be location of alliance members compared to others. Norther Coalition: Most of these nations are on the East side of the map that some would call traditionally the EU side of the map. Poland location isn't known yet. British Empire: Well they start at the center of the map and grow out from there, prob one of the best areas to start and grow which matches them being the largest nation in game. Western Coalition: Spain and US are very close to each other so they could be easy support of one another, but it can block US from being able to move and fight others unless they use Spain's front-lines. French is on the other side of the map so can be surrounded by others coalitions and blocked off if they don't branch out to other areas or there allaince members don't come help. Holly Alliance: We don't know where they will start, Prussia did have Vieques at one time so that would be a very interesting place to put it's capital. Which would also mean it's right on the edge of the Northern Coalition. Pirates: Honestly they should get the impossible system and start with no capital or it should only be a shallow port (Nassau any one?) Force them to work out of free-towns and shallow waters like more real pirates. Bring back FFA system for them. Keep the system they can join either side. Maybe limit them to only shipyards 1/2. Actually make pirates more pirate like. -

That is why we have a vote, you either don't get a coalition and it stays the same or we get one and the number of nations is kinda reduced as every one is put into 5 groups/coalitions. Poland is always going to be a small nation for the most part, but with the coalition they can now fight with Dutch/Swede/Denmark and use each other ports. Making them a much larger force than they where and able to maybe find off some one like GB. GB doesn't have an alliance and they are the largest but most spread out nation so hard to defend all those ports. Thus the coalition will give small nations like Poland more of a fighting chance. You're asking for more coding. The Coalition can work pretty simple as they all ready have the alliance system code. They will just have to make perm alliance with the nations of each coalition. Now it would be cool if every one gets there nation flag and a coalition flag they can fly, but with the DLC they can pick other flags of there nation. Remember they all ready sold DLC's for the nations so they can't really combine them or split them as it's all ready a sold product and you can pick your nation. This would be the simplest way for them to do it instead of removing actual nations put in. If you are in a time zone where suddenly a coalition means you can't fight a certain nation....example would be the US Prime time French clans WO/BLANC. They would have to go to another nation if they want to fight US or they can actually stop being a bunch of cowards and fight the pirates along with the US. Though I honestly see them going to pirates to stack them even more against one small nation instead. Pirates really should be an impossible nation with no port of there own at the start just like how Russia/Poland/Prussia currently is. Make them the hard core mode of the game and more like pirates and bring back FFA. They all ready can pick sides in battle to join so they can act as privateers if they wish and help other nations. -

We can still maybe have PvP zones that anything goes where you can attack any one but your own nation. That voting thing didn't work cause if a nation voted peace and not all players are agreed than they are forced to do what others voted for. That a or the two largest nations, GB and US on PvP2, would refuse to fight each other. -

I think the reason they can't shrink the nations numbers is cause they sold DLC (FLAGS) for those nations. So it's easier to just make 5 Coalitions of the 11 nations to shrink them down. Than all you have to do is pick the coalition that has your fav nation/flag and you join it. Yes this means some clans will h ave to change nations if they want to fight other clans/nations of there time zone. I'll use US French players WO/BLance will have to leave France to fight the US, or they could just start attacking the Pirates instead of being buddy buddy with them. I'm sure other nation/clans will have to do this too. Mixing up the numbers ins't a bad thing. -

Cause not every one has the same times of when they can be on. I'm 3rd shift so my times online is after work in the morning and early eve before I go to work. I actually keep more time with SEA/AU and some EU players. Though I live in the US, but why should I be forced to only play one part of the map? Maybe Russia shouldn't be spread out all over the place? Ya'll don't have to own every region around you, infarct I'm going to bet ya'll will loose a lot more of those ports soon to come when every one gets settled in with there current ports and need a direction to go. Can't be every where after all now can ya'll? I mean didn't ya'll grab all those ports in the first place cause your nation play time is right after reset and you had first dibs to things? you won't have that when the game is released and wipe cause you will be flipping 1st rate ports with 5/6th rates....better choice your ports wisely. -

The current map really doesn't tell you much of anything other than who is faster at the grind of empty ports. We could see a totally different picture a week or month from now. GB while has the largest number also has 84 ports. Russia has half that at 44 with the next in lines running late teens and mid 20's. Russia and GB are spread all over the place. If some one wanted to take regions from either they can just hit them in diffrent place or get another nation to attack them and distract them. That spead out they can't be all over the place at once. -

Oh that is a crop of BULL SHIT. SOLO players is going to loose to a clan any day of the week cause they are out number not cause of better ships. In a 1 vs 1 it's been proven over and over skill wins over better build. A shitting player in a decked out gold ship is still a shitty player. That solo player can still buy a ship off a big clan. Ships are being posted all the time in ports. That solo player can capture a ship if he catches one by it self. Stop making up the pitty me I'm a solo player thing, cause it's there own fault if they don't want to work as a team or with others. Normally those players are going to do there own thing no matter perks or rewards for RvR and such. You look at any big MMO out there they are designed for CLAN/GUILDS first and not the solo players, but they don't stop you from playing solo. Just like this game doesn't stop you. -

Are you could actually fight the pirates the other main strong US prime time RvR force ya'll avoid to fighting all the time. Some of your guys are former US and GB players....could go GB and fight both US and Pirates? Well that is why we have forge papers after all. Though with the split it would prob give some coalition a better all around time zone mix of players. -

Back on topic the more and more I think of it if I had to pick the two options I would say lets do the coalition thing, but does this mean we aren't going to make a Spring Release of the Game or would it be something they can easily code in? -

But but but than I can't have the cool flag and funny name/title before my name if we did that. Well the flag part could be part of the nation you pick from a large selection of flags in the coalitiions. Maybe give generic titles per Coalitions? -
I said that in Nation TS yesterday when some one was saying we need repairs at certain ports and I know for fact the player wasn't an econ/crafter so it would be easy for them to just set up a few ports to make Hull repairs...lol What I use to do with new players in clan is set them up crafting one of the repairs: HULL, SAIL, RUM. Have them keep half and sale the other half to make money and it works.

It's actually not 11 nations, it's 3 nation groups and pirates. Pretty much what POTBS had, but we can pick diffrent flags in our alliance by picking one nation or another. For exactly If I don't want to fly the Sweden flag but me and your are buddies I can make a Danmark char, fly that flag but we can group up and fight int he same PB's. All this really does is allow you to pick a sub nation within a Coalition of nations. -

It needs to be hard code game factions. Player numbers will go up and down as folks switch nations and move around. I think France should keep it's current location. It could be a front to push into that side of the map for US/Spain/French. Seems the Northern Coalition would be the on each side so it can hold back Franch or they can come over to NO and claim that area. The main thing is where would they put Poland, Prussia, Russia's capital. Prussia did rent one port but Russia never had a port of call nor did poland, only troops posted dureing teh Napoleonic war in cuba. It would be interesting to see what the map would look like. This is the historic map that I believe PvE is going off. Would be interesting to see what areas those three nations would start or would Prussia/Russia start with no port and have to create one? Did Pirates and French pretty much run US up to coast to no ports for resources? No they did it cause they could and it gave them daily fights. Resources aren't every thing. Though some nations might want to take a certain port just so they can have a resource and keep it out of another nations hands. -

British is 26.86% of the population and own 84 Ports. The problem has always been that GB spread out way to far and doesn't help each other. They loose Bahamas last time to US cause they got no support from most of GB. They lost the PB this last week cause well they prob didn't get support from enough GB players (though should be able to fill mulit PB and screen fleets). Russia only has half the ports and they are 9.33% of the population and also have spread out pretty wide. This making them easy targets for other nations. Instead of complaing any one that has a problem with either nation should just attack them or each other. Wait GB can't do it cause they can hardly ever get there act together to use there much larger numbers in game compared to most other nations. -

Ok let me reorganize this list by size. Current populations Great Britain 26.86% Pirates 14.52% France 10.21% Russian Empire 9.33% United States 9.15% Spain 8.83% Sverige 8.76% Dutch 4.88% Prussia 3.61% Denmark 2.87% Polish Commonwealth 0.97% Lets bring back to the original nations that are historically accurate for this time and not brought in to please players of those nations. Great Britain 26.86% Pirates 14.25% France 10.21% United States 9.15% Spain 8.83% Sverige 8.76% Dutch 4.88% Denmark 2.87% Russia, Prussia, Polish is only 13.9% of the population....Where would they go if we went back to the original nations that are historically from this time period? Now lets take out Sverige and Denmark. Great Britain 26.86% Pirates 14.25% France 10.21% United States 9.15% Spain 8.83% Dutch 4.88% That is now 25.54% of the population that isn't in the main core 6 nations. We would expect them to spead out between these nations and maybe filll some of the weaker ones. The problem with the coalitions is that server numbers won't stay the same with forge papers as some folks move around from time to time. Historical alliances wasn't always the same between 1700 to 1820 either. Though we are pretty much stating the alliance is off the Napoleonic Wars which was from 1803-1815 (within the game time scale). If there was any forced alliance this would actually make since. Though it would mean that some folks that have some odd hatred towards certain nations would have to switch nations to keep that hatred. Like how pirates and France in US prime time love to camp US coast line...France players that do this will have to go to another nation or join pirates. Meaning the game numbers balance will change. Effectively it would mean we are breaking the server into 3 main goups and than pirates. Much how POTBS was with French, Great Britain, Spain plus the Pirates. If we do this can Pirates be turned into an Impossible nation and be made a true hard core nation, or give them one port in the shallows to start from? They should never be a major RvR nation, mainly your OW pain in the side of other nations.
