Patch 10.4 Conquest changes, Battle Groups, Wapen von Hamburg (III)
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
In a PvP fight yesterday I got 25 CM's for a kill. So 700 isn't that hard to get if you are actually out there PvPing as that would mean it's only 28 kills, but than I get around 10-15 CM's mark from killing AI ships most the time depending on level of missions or ships I hit in OW. Your not suppose to be able to just jump into a SOL over night. The system is made to make SOL's more rare and not so easy to get into and a costly lost. While 4/5th rates should be the common ships every one is in. You don't like it than get a 3rd rate instead and it's not even 700 CM's cause you have to get it with VM's and you can only get those by wining the round for the weeek. Yes one point for a win of a port battle (successful defense), but they loose 2 if they loose the port. Remember to add in the port point cost too. So a one point port lost can actually be 3 points lost while the winner can get 1 (defense) or 2 (attack) points from a win of a port battle. And this is very much comfirmed by us as we had some one test it just below 20% and close to 25% and they got faster reload, but he has to wait for some more mods to see if he can get his first rate to even faster reload. Nope player produce goods should be player bought/sold. Oh and the base price of oak to produce is like 73 gold so you better jack that price up or no one is going to sale to you for under cost unless they are a noob. You ever see how long it takes to reload on a 1st rate or any ship for that fact. While I can see maybe not so much on small ships but can help, but you take a ships that main guns take over a min to reload and you shave 20% off that your talking about a good 10+ seconds off your reload. Than you go broad side to broad side with some one that doesn't have the fast reload and your going to get an extra broad side in on them every 5-6 broad sides. That could mean one extra sunk ship in a fight over the enemy if you have some one on there last leg. Just like folks with over penetration builds. IT means they can demast a first rate more easly or you can pen at slight angles that others can bounce shots from. It has a place and purpose. I have a reload spec Vict and it reloads way faster than my Tanked out repair spec Vict. Two different play styles in fights as the tanked one is also turn speced. I'm more for every one gets one point and than the top three gets points on placement. 1st gets 3 points *total of 4* 2nd gets 2 points *total of 3* 3rd gets 1 point *total of 2* This will allow every one to get a point each week, but it also means that you still need to win 2 weeks in a row to afford a 1st rate permit. So it keeps from in the run but also keeps SOL's more expensive and rare. -

HP and Thickness have 20% cap so far we found. Haven't found a reload cap though as we have been over 20%. -
Conquest Ladder Zero
Sir Texas Sir replied to Hethwill, the Red Duke's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Every three weeks would be a good number. Every one gets one point no matter what place they come in. The winner gets 3 points (3 or 4 total depending if you count the every one gets one point separate from the victory points) and the second place gets 2 points (2 or 3 total). This way all nations get points no matter what, just some get more than others so the aren't completely crippled. Rewards shouldn't be given out unless your rank 3 are above (your rank enough to man a shallow water port battle ship). This will help with the instant alt that jumps nations and never ranked up. -
Conquest Ladder Zero

I may be mistaken but that is pretty much how it currently works. You want to win you need to attack folks. If your not the big bad mother Ucker out there than you need to get friends and take that one person down. The issue isn't the game mechanics right not as we really haven't tested it, it's the players that want to be carebears and super allainces and not fight. Now what I hate compared to the old Conquest Marks is this awards every one in the nation. Sorry I do all the hard work and take the ports with my clan mates than why should the lazy Mort Rat that does nothing get a reward? We use to have Conquest marks as our reward for our hard work and we would tell them if they want some, they need to get organized and go flip there own ports. We do try to rotate a few of them in and out of the port battles that help us with screening, but sorry the rest shouldn't be rewarded. Now what I think a great reward for those that win port battles and isn't OP is give us all a paint chest when we win a port battle. That way the RvR guys have something the lazy folks that doesn't get. This could be the reward for the PvP leaderboard too. Top 15 guys get a paint chest. -
Patch 10.4 Conquest changes, Battle Groups, Wapen von Hamburg (III)
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
No it favors the most active PvP/RvR nations. Pirates on GLOBAL is prob going to win this week if nothing changes. We have the second most ports, but every time numbers came up we have never been the biggest nation. We are prob the third largest nation on the server. It's only a small group of active players wining the fights right now. The largest nations is not winning. So it does not favor Carebears that sit in ports and not fight. You want to win? You get out there and fight and get others motivated to fight. -

@admin Any hotfix notes for todays update? -
Per region they capture might be to much, but I can see giving them an extra point per region. The other thing is this should push the little guys to work together against the big guys. People can do a lot when they stop bickering and work together. I never was joking in the past when I said BLACK was only 15-20 players when we where winning g fights. We are more like 20-25 average right now, but we are getting all the small clans to work with us now to give us more numbers. A small organized group can do a lot. French seems to be doing great the last few days if they can keep it up I can see them being a nice little threat on GLOBAL. If they just stop there in house bickering and the silly Dane stuff. That and I think the small nations should get an xp/credit boost to help level them and encourage growth. I also thing forge papers should be locked to not be used towards move to winning nations either or high pop. We need means to retain players in the smaller nations.

Simon has been logged off for over 4 hours now. He was having bad connection and keep skipping all over the place in game so we aren't sure what is going on. He logged out and we found his ship still there. F11 and it seems to be a ghost ship. Was still there after we finished flipping the port and same results if we tried a pirate vs pirate battle. Yah something is glitchy with the game. We also had group keep dropping and group leader crashing in game if he tagged an AI fleet.

Patch 10.4 Conquest changes, Battle Groups, Wapen von Hamburg (III)

Instead of making it a flat speed cap for all ships the speed cap should be per ships. Like only 2 knts or something from base speed with wood build or a percenatage cap like all the other stats. has. 20% is the Cap for HP and Armor Thickness. Maybe 20% cap on speed for all ships would work to cause to get 15 Knts on some shisp you need to stack more than that to get it. Though this could be tweaked down to 15% or 10%. Though I think 20% would be good. We will still have some ships faster than 15 knts, but they have to be really week ships to do that. They need can also put penalit's on things like mast and such for speed stacks, make the ships way weaker. I think every one was demasting the first week cause there was really no other way to slow down all these speed ships and still isn't. Well other than blowing there top mast tips off so you can catch up to them, but super laser 4 gun Surprises will kill your top mast before you can kill it. The laser accuracy of rear guns needs to be changed too. -
Make CombatNews channel silent
Sir Texas Sir replied to Koltes's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
It would just get lost in the GLOBAL like it's getting lost in the current channel. Lets just keep it to a notification channel. Not really cause it tells you who is killing a players. If Player1 kills a brit player every hour on an hour than we know that player is alt farming. -
Patch 10.4 Conquest changes, Battle Groups, Wapen von Hamburg (III)
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
The other thing is a bunch of small nations can attack a big nations. You loose 2 points per loss and add all that up they can push a small nation up past the big nation and into the leader spot by helping each other that way. -

It also encourages fighting. While the largest nation can get the most points just by ports it owns and still have more ports, but the most active nation that wins the mot battles can actually get more points and win the map for the week. It also counts picking your target wisely. As some regions are worth more than others. A small nation can control some key regions and have only a few and still have more starting points than say a nation that has twice as many regions than they own. Though I still think the two or three big nations will prob win almost every time, though this gives the small guys a chance cause if they are more active one week they can win points. Cause say pirates take a week off from RVR and French take a bunch of ports that week. They could actively get more points to be that weeks winners. -
Text is too small to read when I unclick full screen

The game doesn't like 4k settings specially if your not in full screen mode. If I go out of full screen it does the same for me. I assume it will be fixed when they up date the UI. -

Like you got room to speak. My post was about something some one did in game that was a big sketchy. What I talk about is folks that constantly saying exploits and cheats with no proof over and over. Really with post like this from you Tribunal has become a joke. It is not meant for half a nation to post on stuff without proof and just there views.

Just want to remind you of something else. It's your job to bring the proof of things like exploits and alts abuse. All we did was gather a fleet in one spot. I personally think the Devs should get strict on folks that constantly accuse folks without proof too. Every heard of the little boy that cried wolf? -

As for the OP I would like to know how sitting in a battle 5 hours before a port battle is an exploit? There is nothing wrong with going to a location and getting you fleet all gather up in one spot. I mean the port battle is in 5ish hours so how exactly is this exploiting? Edit: Stay on topic Captain. - Moderation team -

[PvP Global] Political Situation and Port Battles

Port-au-Prince 4th Rate Port Battle: 25 British vs 23 Pirates Pirates won with a combo of points from captured circles and killing/capture of 9 British ships with zero lost to the pirates side. Pirates lost a Mortar Brig out side and one one other couldn't get in. I wasn't there but if some one had the video I'll add it on our side. -
NO problems on my side, but it did get a bit laggy around that time.

What is the point?
Sir Texas Sir replied to Kultteri's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
We use them in PvP when we know it's going to be a numbers game. IF we are going to be out number we bring the big guns out to fight, but even than most of them just run, but a good mix fleet is great. I have a speed Bucc for PvP like that, to be honest the bigger 1st Rate Port battle ships are the worse to bring to PvP cause they will never catch up with the action with every one doing a speed Meta for the most part on OW. Bellona is not good for solo PvP, maybe in a group that isn't just you and your friend. Every time we see something like a 3rd or even 2nd rate and we are in 4th/5th rates we see an easy target. I have so many CM's collected up and a good stack of all the permits right now that I'm starting to make 3rd rates for none clan members that want them and can't afford the bigger ships or crew them yet. You just need to ask. You might pay a little more if you don't have all the mats yourself, but if some one comes to me wanting a 3rd built I'll do it for push of the button if they bring the mats and LC and a little compensation for the CM's for the permits. We still have our good stash of permits on hand and mats to replace any ships we loose as a clan so spending some CM's on permits to help out other folks not in our clan only helps the nation out. That and we have given every captured 3rd/Bellona we gotten to other clans so far.. Thanks to the US and Brits of course;) Wouldn't say useless, but agree with you on the solo small group it's not an good option. -
White Peace - France-Denmark Trade Conflict ends
Sir Texas Sir replied to Teutonic's topic in Caribbean News
Prates and Brits not fighting? Where the hell you been we fight nightly? Prob got your head stuck so far up your arse with your ego to notice but we can't get a port battle easly cause they can field over 75 players in one time zone and almost 50 in another. While we are lucky to get 1/3 of those numbers of not half. If ya'll are so bored than instead of bragging and picking on a 4 player nation or a one time zone nation that can field a SEA/AUS port battle slot why don't you take all that energy and attack the British your own dange self. Last I checked they took two ports from ya'll with little to no fight, unless those are your buddies that took them? Is France a sub clan of the British actually? Cause I haven't been seeing many other than WO give them any trouble. If your so great at one porting folks that aren't smaller than you than maybe come over to give British some trouble and see how well ya'll deal with them. @Slamz all you sound like is the Bully that throws a fit when you don't get your way and refuse to pick on some one your own size or bigger. How about ya'll leave the Danes and Swedes to do what ever they want north of a certain line and come play with some of the bigger boys that do have players in your time zone slots of active play time. -
I have notice it's off a few times but normally not by much. Like it has a delay or maybe gets the info from a different source or rounds off.

I was wondering that, you think Spanish will be the high pop one. I need to make my chars over there and was going to pick the top three nations and prob just see if any one wants to buy my labor hours for me or something to set up a little bit there. Now back to PvE OP topic. Devs said more PvE content will come, but it's prob going to be something we see added when the game more moves to Beta stage of development and the basic game mechanics are worked out or even more after release. When they aren't working on game mechanics they will have time to work on things like quest and PvE content. Hopefully it's stuff that will be in the future, but I won't expect anything different from PvP servers on PvE servers until after release.
