  1. It should take 3-4 players to focus on one target to sink it, but if your taking 10 mins your doing something wrong. On test bed I told them it was to fast and they moved it to 15 mins. The whole time I told the 12 mins would be the sweat spot. They moved it back to 10 but made cool downs shared. I still think it should be about 12 mins. I think 15 can be to long, remember not every one has repair perks and mods on there ship to get that 1/3 or more back. Maybe it's time to try to meet that sweet spot and bump it up to 12 mins.
  2. I don't even like it for that or defense port battles. I have a few 1st rates that are Wo/Wo but the heaviest I go is normally Teak/Wo for anything. This is a port reset only, nothing you own like ships, gold or xp will be lost. Though your outpost and buildings might be refunded back to you and some items given back as redeemable, devs haven't gotten into those details yet. I would assume it would be handled much like how they did when the Regional Patch came out. Do you make all your ships out of Oak/Fir cause those are the only resources you can get in starting capital regions. Cedar well now we have a prime example of a rare resources. Lets say my clan captures Bermuda, Flatt's The only place you can get Bermuda Cedar from. We can set it Pirate and than tax it so that any one that is Pirate can use it and or smuggler flag, but if we are smart we would set it to Neutral. Let every one make an out post there and set the tax real high so even alts have to pay the same tax's as every one else and we make profit off all the Cedar bought from the port no matter what nation the players are form. That is pretty much what I assume when they mean there will be rare resources in the capture regions. The none capture will have your Oak, Fir, Lith, Iron, Hemp, stone and Sugar and that is prob it. We will have to wait and see though. I can't wait until Legends comes out, that seems more the game he wants and should be worried about though he keeps trying to pop in and make this game that game. This si not the solo player game. He wants that and instant fights he will be getting legends. I'm actually looking forward to these new changes as long as they work on fixing the other problems too.
  3. I'm not digging through 25 pages of info but it was mention rare resources will be in the capture zones. Why would they put rare resources in a zone that can't be captured? You will more than likely have basic crafting needs in those ports like we have in Capital Region, but you still will have to go out and find thous other resources and hopefully control those ports. By having them clan control and even if you set it neutral you control the taxes. I don't want some alt or other nation to use that port I set it to my nation and than raise the tax through the max. The profits from other sales will make up for the tax your own clan pays cause the tax goes back to the clan warehouse.
  4. You can only do it once an hour cause of the recently kill. Ships are worth way more than you get back in return. Once you max out that alt than what? So what you got him there, but in that time you farmed him once an hour you could of did 1-4 missions and prob got just about the same if not more xp and gained more CM and Gold. I think these guys see some ghost/boogie man in alts and have no clue how they actually work . Where is that post by admin?
  5. I think it will do two things, bring trade hub zones which remember the OW is not a safe place, you can still have PvP and get into fights. There is no safe zones other than around the capital. Even the non capture zones will still allow PvP in those waters, you just can't capture the port. Now what I all ready thought about is what if a few nations are at war with each other. Say pirates comes in takes over a port in the middle of that zone. We turn it into a neutral zone and open up for all nations to use. Though we raise the tax to max. This gives other nations to port in and use it for fighting on one side or the other and it will hopefully encourage more PvP in that area. We could stock the crap out of repairs and other goods those players need and make a killing with the high tax rates. We could also make a close to home port very low tax, set it pirate and than help out our own nation with a more cheaper place to stock up. We could take a major econ port like Bermuda Flatts and give it a really high tax rate as folks want to buy Bermuda. I think it will give more reason to have control over certain ports and fight over them. But you can also set up a clan owned Neutral port and folks can actually set up outpost and teliport in and out of that port. So it can be an instant freeport of the old days. Freetowns are exactly how they are now. You can put up an outpost but you can't build anything or telport into or out. Neutral town any one can put an out post there no matter who owns it and also put buildings up in that port. It's like the old neutral ports, but they didn't work for Pirates only other nations. They need to hotfix and bring back XP for damage for all battles. Than bump the Kil/Assit rewards for PvP, I don't think x2 cuts it, it needs to be x5 since we are still sharing those rewards with any one else that did damge in that fingt. That way no matter what you still get your XP. This will help with the ship knowlege grind and leveling up. XP for travel and Missions xp needs to go to ship knowledge too. This would be the quickest thing they can hotfix and hlep fix one of the biggest complaints a lot of folks are having.
  6. Thanks, just some of us are worried it's going to take months. If ya'll can do parts of it test to live instead of waiting for all to be ready would help. I get the town management and new Conquest stuff needs to be all ready, but some of the changes like xp and grind and such could be hotfix sooner to help folks with those issues.
  7. While I have had a lot of great convo's with Hobo and even Christendom about the game and Wraith have put a lot of info out there too. Though I have noticed Hobo has gotten really bad about his trolling and anti-pirate/BLACK comments. It's like some one did something to him and upset him when I rarely have ever have seen him in the game. He even admits he's not playing the game but he still comes to troll and mostly post that has nothing to do with him or the nation he's currently playing in. While I won't put him on my ignore list or the others. I do tend to ignore a good number of his post when he's doing the trolling stuff. Now @Slim Jimmerson I'm not sure who or where he came from but some times he does way to much trolling and says stuff he has no clue about. Funny every fight I seen him in he was either running from the start or sunk. I even ways chasing him in the last Port Battle to get him, but chasing a Connie in a Vict doesn't work to well. Though it worked great on the l'Ocean I captured after the port battle. Wonder if he would like to know I had zero repairs left when I took the Ocean....lol @Slim Jimmerson Tell Good Times I'll take good care of his L'Ocean for him. I'll prob pass it on to one of the other guys as I'm keeping the Vict as my main 1st rate. Love the L'Ocean but not going to grind out two 1st rates.
  8. I'm glad I wasn't added to this list, I suck at 1 vs 1 but I still call myself an above average player....
  9. To level up yourself and your ship you need XP. I'm maxed level they aren't. If they don't get any kill's or assist but do damage right now they get nothing. If they get xp for damage than they get something an level up. To be honest if they want Gold/CM than they prob should be leveling up with folks there own levels. It's faster for a low level to just come in to my missions and get xp from the mission finish than doing his own level missions, but he gets nothing for helping cause he doesn't get enough damage done to register a Kill or Assist. I remember when my second pirate DEAD was still Spanish and under another name. He helped some pirates tag a Bucc while he was in a Rattler. He spent the whole battle shooting sails while the pirates slowly caught up to the buck. By the end of that battle they captured that bucc and actually gave it to me (they didn't know it was my alt). Said they didn't need it so I could keep it until I level up. I made a rank and half way through my next one off that battle cause of all the sail damage I did, but I didn't do enough damage to get an Assist or Kill. I would of gotten nothing from that fight and that isn't fair for any one lower level that still assisted on the new system.3
  10. They need to keep the Gold and CM tied to Assist and Kills, but make the XP off damage done in battles.. To many time they little guy that helps only by shooting sails gets nothing. If you capture a ship you get nothing. XP for the battle should be given no matter if you capture or sink the ship. He still thinks that Pirates have some special perks or powers. If you look at the Port battle leader board he's prob only been to one or two port battles and only been involved in that many grinds. I been in over 20 port battles with grinding every one of those regions. It's like that for every nation. You get a few regions with one good fleet and than many regions that have crap for fleets. We joke about every time we go to flip a region it's like the devs turn on the Rain and than they hide all the national ships of that country. So it's not something that is only one Nation problem it's all nations that have issues grinding regions. Though we found out that 3 point regions tend to have better fleets. Main econ zones with big regional ships traveling tends to have one big fleet. Some of the off the main area regions has crap for ships. We have to cycle a 4/5th rate with a few small ships just to put any agro on it. Bermuda was so bad we said screw it and war bombed the first 60% of it to make it go faster. It still took us 3 hours to flip the last 40%. What these guys don't get is when we flip a port we run with a full fleet of 15-20 guys. We spread out to all the ports with 3-5 guys at each port of that region and we kill every thing we find or recycle them if they are good fleets. The problem with recycle is the biggest ships that is worth the most is normally the on you have to keep alive. Now defense to counter grind the owner can kill any ship of that region (except there own nation). The reason it's taking days for some folks is they go out with a couple of guys and that is it, so it takes all day long for them. If they want to properly flip it they need to bring a fleet pretty much like there Port Battle fleet.
  11. You and many others didn't get your xp even though you did the log in before the wipe and one battle. This is why Global hurt so much on getting more numbers than it did cause they half ass the wipe.
  12. You can have combat only chars that never touch crafting in a day of their lives, or you can have crafters that all they do. Or you can have guys like I was before the patch. I had a mix of combat and crafting perks. Since my two main are maxed out they should be jack of all. While my third char which was my Dane pre-patch is only Flag Capt/Demon level, but is maxed out crafter. All her points go into crafting. This should be this way where you have to have alts. A solo player that maxed out both rank should be a master of combat arms and of crafting trade not have to pick on or the other. By making some pick than you are setting up class sytem and sandbox's aren't suppose to have classes. Keep the reset though for one or the other. Same cost but you peek while looking at that group which to reset. Cause some times you might run a mortar brig set up and the next you want to have heavy RvR set up and than the next light hisp. That when you have to reset them. Crafter not so much as you can pretty much get all the main ones by 10 points. Though you might have to pick and choise between some like the cargo perk and other things. I have one combat perk on that char and I'm about to hand that honor off to a baby pirate I bought when we had the steam sale. Which by the way that baby pirate at rank 2 has gotten more kills than all my chars this month....sneaky little bastard been taking some folks...never know who behind that char after all.
  13. The AI marks are on par, it's the PvP rewards that need to buffed big time. That and give xp for damgae not for kill/assit and it will improve big time.
  14. @admin I know an ETA is hard to give, but it would be nice to know if this going to be next week or next year or a few months from now so we can make some changes and plans. Even if it means we shut down any RvR and just keep to PvP on OW. That and a map of these new captured and noncaptured ports lay out would be nice too. Than we can discussion that part of this too even if it's a project suggestion map and not the final one. 4 years? So you mean you played two years of it being F2P and was crap? I won't count my time in beta, but it was only up for 2 years before they switched to F2P and went to crap about that time some Russians on the server (I played Roberts) told me hay come check out this new game and Beta test it with us. That is how I got to WoT's.....than a few years back some Russians I know said come test out this new game in alpha you will like it.....and that is how I ended up here....any one seeing trend here for me and games like this? But back to the Tax. Lets say a port brings in 5 Million a day, and yes I bet you some of them do of products exchanging hands. Lets say the tax that the port takes no matter what is 5%. which is 250K. This goes straight to the port and never seen by the clan. Though you make the maintenance 10% of the ports producing income. So that will be 500K.....though the 5% port tax takes half of that the player never sees as it's paid for all ready. If he wants to pay out of pocket he has to raise the tax from 5% the port min to 10% and he covers all tax's, but he gains no income. If he raises it to 20% than he gains 5% income off all goods in that port. Which isn't a bad tax rate. Now maybe it's a rich Clan and they get plenty of income through other means and they want to help out new players. THey instead set the tax rate to 0%, pay the 500K a day and go off the profits of goods they sale themselves with zero tax mark up. Cause they now just turned there Neurtaly owned port into one of the best trade hubs in game. You mean when patch drops. If your in a port that turns neutral you prob get to keep your stuff there and well hope some one doesn't capture it. When we get the map and ETA of the patch it would be smart to move you stuff to a nation owned port or a freetown or hope your port turns neutral and your nation/clan can capture it quick. Though they prob going to do what they have done in past. Wiped all buildings and gave us credit for them. Move certain ports with others (flip locations of your good) or make the items redeemable and you have to reclaim them. See above, there should be a small percentage that allays goes to port and maintenance as a min. 5% is a good number that no matter what it's there to cover that. Though the maintenance might be higher or even lower depending on the port and it's resources. So you might be able to suck up the price and charge zero taxes at far away not important ports or you might have to raise taxes to 20% to cover the fees and still hardly break even for very high maintenance ports. It's a bit harder to control now, but pre-patch we keep Mort Prices very low so that if you need to replace something it was cheap to do so. If you can get a new ship that means your back out there fighting. The problem was Nats keep coming in and buying the real cheap goods and than going to sale them to there own nations for out standing prices or some idiot will buy the ship and repost them at National prices (that gave away the nation jumpers and alts real fast). It got to a point we wouldn't sale anything in Mort, but we keep Kidds stocked up since that was pretty much our last stand region any way. So it's mainly going to depend of the players and how they want to treat ports. I'm all for helping your nation and keeping tax low on National Owned ports close to home. While having high tax rates on frontier ports that you make Neutral so all can use. Bermuda would be a prime example of a port I would claim and make neutral and jack the tax up high. That way any nation can come and get goods out of it, but they are going to pay a price. This cuts the alts popping in and getting a good deal too as they have to pay the tax too. You should get enough profit that your clan can afford the high taxes themselves that port....or drop the tax for a day buy up what you need and than put it back up to something high.
  15. Are just make a good reputation system that if you have high enough reputation with said nation you get a tax cut to the mini allowed (5% should always be the min Nation tax, the rest should be the clans tax). This is a Sandbox you shouldn't force nations to fight eath other. That should be something they do on there own, but maybe some mechanic that penalize them for to much peace. On PvP2 pre-patch GB/US the two largest nations with DUTCH was 70% of the server population. GB/US hadn't had a port battle against each other since Aug last year till after 10.0 Patch. That was almost a year that two largest nations didn't fight a single port battle. Instead they had a carebear alliance and picked on the small nations while the Pirates player world police and protected the little nations and kicked there alliance all over the place out number. PEACE DOESN'T WORK ON A GAME ABOUT ACTION AND WARS. The allaince system keep small clans from fighting each other in GB and US which could of helped and the new system allows this so it's good. You don't want a big clan to come mess with your fight with another nation, don't have them on your friends list so they can't take up slots in a fight or what not. I bet you find out more folks will get into fighting than sitting on there arse. I do agree rewards need to be upped for certain things that get folks fighting. Paints is the one thing every one loved and wants back in game. Even if they area changing that system why can't we get them now until that as rewards for PvP and RvR. Hell I would give up one of my Weekly Victory Marks for a box full of paints right now....as long as it's 5-10 paints. A proper reputation system would work better than leader boards, but we do have learderboards right now. THough you get no rewards for the PvP leaderboard which you should get something like the paint chest each day for top PvPers. Maybe do something for teh Top 25 RvR players to, but I would pay them out something like once a week they get a paint chest. The clan with the most hostility points is the leading clan and will take owner ship of the port. They can make it a national port so only there nation can use it or they can make it a Nuatral port so every one can use it and they set the tax. IF the maintenance isn't paid it falls back to an unowned neutral state and any one can attack it and claim it fighting the AI. 500K was a place holder random number. I dought that is how much it will be unless it's a high econ rare resource port. Even than we had no problem upkeeping out ports on POTBS and we where a very small clan but RVR and beat the crap out of the Brits and held more land than they did. We had low tax in important national ports and high defense/resources set up, but we got our money from the out side ports we didn't care about that was closer to the other nations and had set up high taxes for other nations. Since in that game you set your tax rate for each nation so you can have it low for our nation and a friendly (French ) and than high for an enemy (brits) we keep it in the middle for the pirates. I'm hoping you can set the rate for each nation. The funny thing is when you join it you get the flag of that players. So a French with Contriban goods gets tagged by a Dan. We would want to join the Dane, but we can't, we have to join the Pirate side. When we join we have a French flag....lol It's human nation to see some but remember they have to take and control that port to keep it. If you burn all your bridges you will find out you have very few friends. You might even find out the enemy only attacks your ports. In the past we took all ports to hurt a nation cause of what one clan did. Now all we have to do is attack that clans ports only and leave the others alone. I think we will be seeing some smaller clans asking for this to help them gain power over a nation against some DOM clans that won't let them do other things than peace and sit in ports. But this allows the smaller nations to do some fight and smaller clans that don't want the peace can target the clans that are doing nothing but holding ports. I'm going to be your going to see a lot of civil unrest in nations. I'm going to predict us Pirates on Global will be willing to take ports and make them Neutral for other nations that have beef with other clans. Than again it's war and the strong should always survive. IF you don't like who controls a region of ports than go to the safe zones by the capital, they all tend to have all the basic resources that you need to play. Than put contracts up for the goods you need and pay out the arse any way for them when you could get them cheaper from some one else port. Like the Pirates Civil War that happend the first tiem US tried to take West End from us. Funny how they had none US alts in that clan and as soon as we went to war with them the whole nation went to war with them and those not doing shady stuff left and went to other clans, but the shady guys ran off to there US buddies and are still over there. Sorry guys that what happens when a Pirate Republic votes on something and your caught working for the Enemy, we do a purge of every member until they leave or you do. I know one of those I killed the night it started is now a strong Clan Leader of another Pirate clan that we work with and he's the main raider of the US coast. The last KOS vote we had my clan left the vote to all the smaller clans and it was 100% VOTED for the player to be put on a Nation wide KOS cause he was attacking lowbies, traders and giving Pirate info out in global. I believe he's been warned by Admin about some other things to so he's been acting better, but he's still on that KOS list. BLACK had zero influence on that and I even told them, "We will support the rest of the Republics vote, but I'm sure ya'll all ready know what our vote will be." Which was KOS for our clan, but we wanted them to make it public and choise themselves. You see folks that is how you run a nation. No stupid congress or what not, you just do things and make votes on the fly. We have never had a meeting of the clan leaders either. We pop in each others TS/Discord and ask if it's cool to do this or that and than be on our way. I can see keeping the low level missions up to Rank 5 as normal missions and this is the solo ones. All group missions should be hostility missions. Than seed enough low level ships groups around that if they want to fleet they can go sink those in the safe waters around capital regions.
  16. I would prefer to say that the 10% of the player base that even gets on the forums. Maybe half of those are your die hard players and that includes your PvPers, RvR's and every thing else. Though I do notice that some folks get just flat out rude when you talk about things that can over all improve the game but it's not what "THEY WANT" in the game. This game is about all players and finding that balance for them all. When I look at game mechanics I look at it from the view of as many players as I can. We need the casual players as they are the meat of the game population. When we start to only listen to the minority few that are on here than we forget about them and that is where our numbers start to drop. If it's not fun for them than it's not going to be fun for the rest of us. Like we have some folks that don't want any AI. Sorry every game I played on even though PvP server had AI's for general grind and missions. Yes you had arena's and special battle zones you can PvP in. Want to know what that is? That is what Legends tends to be looking like. If you don't want the whole package than that is prob going to be your game. While other folks are wanting to Trade, Hunt, Fight, run, cry....even roll play about their Cabin Boy....those or the other 90% of the players and those are the ones we need to keep around. The reason many of us push for one server is cause we need to have all players and resources in one spot. Than later make up special servers for the PvE guys and the EU guys that want to sleep at night and not worry about a port while working hard. Get the core of the game done, get the mechanics polished out and than work on other side projects for those special groups. Hell along the way you might find out they weren't even worth ot stuck around and you wasted time doing things just for them. I'l be honest a lot of the mechanics that haven't worked or that keeps getting changed seems like they are only to make a few happy not the majority.
  17. By what I'm understanding the Attacking and defending sides are depending on: Attacking clan with the most Hostility when port was flipped leads. Any clan on their friends list can join the port battle when they attack. Defending side is the clan that owns the port. Any clan on their friendly clan list can join and help. SO you better have enough other clans listed on your friends list to help defend or attack a port. Now what I don't like is that it limits the solo clanless that can't join or the random guy that shows up that might not be in a clan on your friendly list. With a 15 clan limit that can actually get maxed out pretty fast if you have a nation with a bunch of small little clans.
  18. I like the concept but they need to separate the Combat Perks which off your rank and the Crafting Perks which should go off your crafting level. This way a solo/casual player that is Rear Admiral can have all 10 Combat points. While a level 50 crafter can have 10 crafting points. You might have a Rank 10 char with all combat, but he's only 25 in crafting so he only has 5 crafting points. The way to do it is give out one crafting perk point for every 5 levels of crafting. I think Combat perks needs to go back to one perk point for every level. Now you can get all 10 by time your half ranked up. So folks that don't care about doing big ships can be maxed out in perks and not even mid level.
  19. And the rare resources that are at that port. I can see some one taking a big port with certain resources and either keeping it for the nation and running low taxes or making it a Neutral owned port and taxing the crap out of all nations that come to use it.
  20. Speaking of the smuggler flag, it honestly needs to go back to being the way it use to be. Sorry you don't want to get jumped than don't have it on. Did you know when your tagged with it on the out side of the battle shows a national with smuggler flag as a pirate and pirates can only join that side side not the other national that tagged you? If they are treated as pirates than why aren't they fully treated as one and any one including there own nation can tag them? It should also mean while you have the smuggler flag on and if another pirate tags you it should make a FFA battle. I honestly think the flag should be removed and should be a ability pirates get any way and if nationals want to use another nation port than they need to get reputation for it (hint we need a reputation system.) For pirates they can have there own trade reputation called smuggler that allows them to enter each nations ports as long as your in a trade ship. That's a topic for another thread though. Remember if you don't want to be attacked and treated as a pirate all you have to do is not have the smuggler flag on.
  21. It's listed, if they don't play and pay port maintenance it will go back to being a neutral port and than any one can attack it and take control of it. While it's neutral you can keep your buildings and production going until it's capture by another nation and they choose to make it a national port instead of a Neutral.
  22. I know you where and I was more talking about the other players that didn't come from EU. I'll be honest when 3.0 drops our clan will prob be gone off to SC and be done with this game. If the devs care they would change the things we are saying killing the game now (the grind and xp rewards) which are only number changes and not major content. Than come along and fix the rest of the stuff with future patches. We are fine with RvR being dead for now, but we want the rest of the game to not be dead.
  23. Even better question that they keep avoiding. @admin what is the ETA of this patch? Is this something ya'll be working on and we will see in a few weeks or is this going to be another 10.0 patch that takes 4-5 months to even make it to test bed and go live? I'll be bluntly honest if it takes 4-5 months I think I'm going to just give this game up and move on to something else. Than maybe come back if it every releases. We don't have time to sit around an d wait on a dead server cause you announced a patch that is going to take for ever to drop. It happens every time you do this, the numbers drop insanely over what you where all ready loosing and than you only get back a small chunk of the players you had before hand. The small changes like the grind and such can be changed and hot fixed now. The port battle RvR stuff I can get that can take a while, but you need to really think about what you can implement into the game now and make changes for the better and what you can wait on and get in later and do exactly that. Make the changes now that need to be made and than add in with future patches the new changes. RvR is dead fine, but don't make the rest of the game dead too.
  24. The problem with that is we have about 1/3 of our members are SEA time zones and most of them refuse to go where the ping is out the roof. I know some AUS say they can do it, but I'm going to bet these are guys that live in areas with killer net or something. You will loose a whole clan like CCCP that has insanely bad Ping any way cause of the firewall. For me it's not the ping that kills me it's the spikes at times that has gotten me killed in battles. They need to put the server in a good location even France is better or Greenland and just do it. Not to mention that is three months of starting over if we where to move over and grinding all over again....screw that. Which by the way I been on EU since day one....I just don't tell folks who my other char is over there....I been on there all day today grinding out AI to get some pocket money to buy cannons and move up from a privateer I been in. Though honestly we aren't quiters like some folks that give up and than run off to the more pop nation/server.
  25. I just want to add if it's a EU player how would they wake up to find there port flipped? If your a EU clan wouldn't you set your port battle time to EU prime time? I think that is what ya'll aren't getting. You don't have to control every port in your nation. You don't have to fight every fight. You just have to fight the ones important to your Clan and others that share it's time zone pref of prime play time. If you don't want to get a port flipped in another players prime time (I won't use the word night flip cause it's nights for every one even EU that work grave yard shifts and such) than don't set it in time slots that you can't defend it. If you loose it in your prime time than it wasn't an off prime time flip now was it? This would mean you weren't able to hold that port during YOUR PRIME TIME. So that is your nation/clans fault for not being able to hold it. That or if you don't want to loose a port you set things up in than don't set it up in a port that can be captured. I have to agree with you on the first half of this, but the rest isn't not true. Most great games out there do not have regional servers as a whole. Most of them run off one server and that is it. Unless they are some AAA game and this isn't one of them. They combine there player base into one big server and folks do loose things while they sleep and work, but if they played smartly they can keep those zones and not loose them. Personally if they gave pirates a proper mechanics and than put the server in a spot that most players can log in and get decent ping rates I could care less about RvR even though it's the main focus of my clan as it's a RvR/PvP clan. Though we would not be stealing your ports you set to EU time cause we wouldn't have the player numbers to do it. We would be attacking US/SEA prime time clans and taking there ports cause those are the time zones that we can field strong team. That is what your not getting. You don't need to defend every port, you just need to defend the ones that your clan or alliance of clans have interest in and you can do that by setting your port battle time to your prime time slot. One of the biggest issues I see is that EU players tend to want to play the EU nations, some of them had little to no influence in this area of the world at this time and prob shouldn't be in game. The US or lets saying English speaking players tend to play GB/US. The problem is when the EU nations won't fight each other and the English Speaking Nation won't fight each other in the past you get the Night/Day flip problem which honestly wasn't worse than what PvP2 have with the stupid carebear alliance, but that is another topic. By having the port battle time slots your clan can pick it means only other clans with your prime time can attack you which should be reasonable to think that GB and US would fight each other and most of the other nations would fight each other. Though are they doing that? Have they done that? Could they do that? Yah they could with the new system and if some folks in either Easter/Western block wanted to join and fight others on the other side they could. By having a server with port battle restriction your limiting on the numbers of players you could have over all. I'm sorry I bet you won't loose as many EU players as you think cause ya'll can still set your prime time and fight over your own ports in those times. No one is taking that away from you, just means the rest of the map can fight when eve they want too. That is what the Lord Protector and clans being able to set when they can be attacked. This is suppose to be brought back with this next patch. Though we haven't heard how this will work on EU server, but many of us would like to just merge the servers and be over with it cause if they don't want to be attacked in off hours than they can just set the port battle timer for ports own to their prime times.
