  1. Oh I see now you do this after I moved a whole bunch of stuff last night. Well good thing is I still got another load of stuff to prob move tomorrow night to be ready for the patch. What we need to know is buildings going to be refunded? I want to drop some ports, but if they are I'll wait until after patch is dropped to do so.
  2. This has been posted and announced for over a month now. It actually happen sooner than I expected it for sure, but they are giving us a half a weekend noticed. My clan has been gearing up for this for some time leaving very little in ports like Savanna (moved my ships last night out of there) and other ports (Hay loosing George Town and getting sunk means I don't need to bring that ship back). It's not the Devs fault players haven't took this time to actually move stuff and get ready. Even more sorry folks that stopped playing, but like the old saying, "You snooze you loose." There going to be some great hunting as folks freak out and move there stuff after the patch drops. Some of them won't figure out how neutral ports and stuff work and even more funny is when they attack a port expecting an empty battle. Better bring something that can fight the AI instead of a bunch of crap low level store bought ships. Just think of the cries when the missions are joined and they are half way through it. This going to be an interesting month for sure, but I'm sure we will hear all types of cry's of it being unfair. Hay think of it this way, ya'll are getting Savannah back and you didn't even have to loose any more 1st rates. True, but some times some of those dots are needed to make buffers and keep the other nations from camping your ports easly. This won't be so easy for small nations and some others. Cause to make that buffer you will have to hold several ports and upkeep them. all the while doing what ever RvR/War fronts you wish to do. We will see though, but you can't just go out and grab /ALL/ the dots for sure. Prob will more see one clan takes one region and than holds it. Just don't expand to much, it might get costly. I can see ya'll taking like a port or two at the mouth of the tear drop and leaving the rest neutral AI own. Though it's gooing to really depend on what resources are where. I have never even looked at the Dutch areas other than that South East corner we took from ya'll before and recently from the French. Are you could get the clans together and flip them back to Brit and hold them. I mean isn't that what ya'll did before just need to spread out who pays for the ports and upkeep them and have every one on the friends list. That last line is kinda why I was hoping for ports spread out instead of one region in the center. Like give us Mort, Kidd's Harbor and maybe one or two more spread out as our perm ports. Something like Key West/Ismorade, Something in the shallows Like Morgan Bluff/Nassau and maybe something way over on the east side like La Tortuga. Last something in the Gulf like Bartaria or Aransas. Bang you will have all the ports spread out for the pirates that don't want to get involved with RvR stuff but no one area is readly controlled by them from the start.

  4. 1. Maintenance needs to not be the same for all ports. It should be a range depending if it's a shallow or deep water or Ship of the line port and what rare resources you have in that port. Tax should cover most of the maintenance, but your depending on folks using that port and if no one uses it you paying for the whole upkeep. 2. This is why I think ports should go back to the original nation owned (not neutral) when upkeep can't be paid or if a clan doesn't want it any more. Tahn another clan can come along and take over control of it. Use the original region map from last reset and make any port that is lost revert back to that owner but AI owned until some oen takes control of it or captures it. 3. I agree with this give refund on all buildings and shipyards cause I got a feeling resources are going to be changed a bit too. So why would I want certain buildings in certain ports if we aren't keeping them any more or that resource is not there any more? 4. What was your clan going to do if that port got captured? Maybe should of had it in a safe capital port in the first place. Looks like it's going to be some good happy hunting in your waters after the patch on your server. Yah if you expand to far you loose money, so you won't fight any more or you have to let key ports go. I don't think we have enough population with all three servers combined to have 75% of the ports owened and upkeeped. We are going to see a lot of empty/AI owned ports not being used. I think they should of keeped it regions to be honest. Gives less ports all over the place and more reason to own that region and get income from all ports and higher upkeep depending on the number of ports, size of ports and resources in that region. This is why since the last patch majority of the clans have keeped there ports in capital other than a few folks (GB moved most of theirs away). It's safe there. I know we took a few regions that had clan warehouses and level 3 shipyards and it hurt the clans that owned them. Not always a smart thing to get away from home. I get that, but there should be a difference from me capturing a back water shallow water port and what it cost to run Flatt's with the only source of Ceder vs a Deep water/Line Ship port. They shouldn't all be the same price. The bigger the port and the more rare the resource the higher the price. Since it's ports and not regions maybe start shallows as very cheap and than go up. That will allow for some small clans to own a few ports and bigger ones can have more. Days of the map being painted one color or another or having a nice safe buffer zone around your nation waters to keep folks from camping them.
  5. George Town 4th Rate Port battle: 16 Pirates vs 25 GB This was not later than last one, it was 5:30am for me guys. 5 ships where lost on both sides. British took the port by points from capping the circles. Last port battle before the patch drops on Monday. Might of had more numbers if ya'll pushed later as we talked. Well until next time.
  6. The problem is the wrong players have all that gold. It's not the casual 90% of the game, it's the 10% hard core traders and such that has all that gold. Hell I rarely break over 5 mill cause I'm spending it on econ all the time. Prob sitting at between all my chars right now less than a mill. Now ask me how much resources I have, now that is a diffrent story.
  7. They should not all be 100K some small clans couldn't even afford one port that way. Why not make them like the flags and have smaller ports/Shallows cheaper than say SOL ports. Than have a + for any port with a rare resources. Flatt's will cost you 150K (it has the only cedar) but other SOL rate port would only cost 150K(100K+25K+25K for regional capital/SOL port) and the 4th rate one will be 100K. Kidd's Harbour is 125K as it's a regional capital, but North Inlet would be 100K and Rum cove is 50K as it's shallows. Though I think we should go with some smaller amount like 25K for Shallows 50K for 4th Rate 75K for SOL Than add 25K for if it's a Regional capital and another 25K if it's a rare resource port. I'm going to tell you right now makeing them all 100K folks won't take ports and upkeep them. Specially if you only make something like 10% of the upkeep off the tax's. Tax'es should not cover all the upkeep but it should cover 50-75% of the upkeep Maxed out. The base 10% of all ports should cover a big chunck of that maintance cost. This way your can't really get rich off owning a port but it can't break your clan either. Clans should be able to easly afford to own a few ports depending on there size. A big clan prob can own 10+ ports, while a small one can prob handle 1 port ownerships. Since we now have fights over ports that is a lot of dots that won't be used (was prob never used any way). I really think this system would of been better if we keeped the regions the fight and if you let it go it reverted back to start set nation (most of the map being spain) instead of returning to neutral.
  8. No what he's saying is once the patch drops you just flip it back and take onwership. This is great if you have a population to support the tax/maintance upkeep of all those ports, but since this is now by port and not region it's going to be costly to hold an area. This is why I think all ports when not keeped paid up to date should revert back to AI national owned and not neutral. This way the map won't be just a bunch of white dots cause no one can afford to pay the upkeep of the ports to hold any land. Maybe a few big clans, but even than if the tax's don't cover it what clan is going to pay all that upkeep. A thought on that should have a way to donate to a port to pay part of the upkeep. Tax's prob should go to a port coffer not clan coffer so each port pays for it self, but you can fill the coffer from your clan stash if need be. This will make it so you can stop upkeeping certain ports and not have it pull from your clan gold.
  9. Caracaus or how ever it's spelled is the other region I'm pretty sure ya'll get too. I remember thinking it's not much from what ya'll have now.
  10. No you get those two regions. The capital region and Curacoa region south of it and I believe all the ports in those two regions. It might be three regions I can't remember as that wasn't an area I was to worried about on test bed when I took the screen. If I remember later I'll do another screen shot to show the south ports, but @admin @Ink really should post a proper map to show every one to keep down the confusion on what ports stay what and what turns white.
  11. @admin I would also wipe all buildings in ports and give folks refunds for what it cost to put them up and upgrade them so folks can move new buildings around with the new map. Some folks will loose a lot of money just on that part there. As for moving yous stuff? Maybe you shouldn't of set up clan stuff in ports other than capitals...lol Lucky for me it's just resource ports (like coal and such) I have to move once they are captured. Anything else I had as an outpost it's simply removing the ship and putting it some where safe (Savanna for example goes back to US).
  12. @admin Can we get an updated map of what the ports would look like after the patch so folks can know what to move and not. I did a screen shot when test bed started up but it does not show all ports and well you'll might have changed stuff. Visuals make it so much easier for folks to understand. This is for every one and please devs give us an updated full map when you can. Any thing "WHITE" will be neutral ports that any one can set up shop in. Stars are the FREETOWNS. French get there capital and Castries area. Dutch get there capital and a region or two East of it if I remember right. Kidd's Island for the pirates turns Neutral.
  13. But you forget the one big porblem and why folks are paying 10K a pop for them. You increase the income folks will just keep increasing the price cause they are to lazy to grind the CM's out when all they have to do is trade things. Some of the countracts by some folks out are multi millions when you start to add them all up and funny it's names we have never seen in OW or any battles or chat. Awwwww the lovely issue with alts and it's not just one nation it's all nations. Though if you make them more plentyfull for the casual to grind out than hope fully the prices will start to drop. I actually stop building ships for folks out side clan cause I keep hearing, "Oh thats way to much." When I tell them how much the ship cost and majority if not half that is the cost for the Permits. Also would be nice if we ccould exchange the victory Marks into combat marks. I get three of those a week and have plenty stacks of ship permits on had that take them. It's the permits that takes CM's I"m short on. With that how is the victory mark thing going to be? are we keeping that in?
  14. Having just gone through this last week every one stay safe. While myself or any of my family was effective by it, but i have a lot of friends that got flooded out. Some still can't get back to their houses. Most of use though are in clean up mode ripping every thing out and start the repair. Lets hope she dies down and ya'll don't get the worse of it. I been saying we are way over due for a good hurricane season and I think we got it this year. Be safe and stay dry PS That is why I haven't been on the furoms much lately....doing clean up for folks that lost/flooded. Don't worry I'll be back to my Forum Whoring soon enough.
  15. I do not want telport to port to return or the battle screen. To many folks will capture ships and than prot back to safety instead of takeing the time to get that ship back. We should have the option to capture our ships back if they are a long way from home. That and the fact traders will tag ships and than telport to get around block-aids (and war ships). That isn't exactly fair play for all.
  16. Good question. The other thing can some one maybe screen shot the options you have when you take control of a port, even better a short video. I been busy with Hurricane Harvey clean up I haven't been in game this week. Was going going to try to get some clan members up to taking a port to test it our selves but just been a crazy last two weeks and not to mention numbers are so low cause hardly any one is playing.
  17. Awwww is that me taking the baby ducklings for a walk? They where doing so good with a straight line before I decided to bring them back to ya'll. As for the after battle thing I have no problem with the invisibility part as it gives folks fair chance of an escape. My issue is the warp speed that you get. If you remove that and keep the timer for invisibility I think it would be fine. The warp speed has been used more by gankers and attackers than it has by the guy running right now and that isn't the reason it was meant for. So I piked the 50% option since there was none to just remove the warp speed part. @admin Your poll really should of had an option to remove the warp speed but keep the invisibility as is. Why we are on this subject another thing we should poll and hopefully remove as the times have changed is the annoying laser accuracy of the stern guns. It's allows one guy in a Surprise to keep other ships at bay when he hits ever one of his chain shots when a Trinc might miss half his. I seen them take down sails on several ships about the same speed but no one could hit him other than with ball to keep him in battle and that was inaccurate as crap doing so. We need to make the Stern and bow guns on par with each other. Drop the super laser accuracy but maybe make them both a tab bit more accurate than the side guns.
  18. I mention above having the info listed in port. Having it listed High Med or Low would be a good thing as only the owners should really know the tax rate unless you go to buy that port. Than when your in port that is when you know the actual tax rate set by the owner. Though not the income.
  19. Since return to port was removed shouldn't your PvP alternative should be ATTACKING the PLAYERS? Though the problem is your never going to be able to force defenders to PvP if they don't want to. Just never going to happen. They will just ignore the raids if they don't want to stop you or get involved in PvP.
  20. Just a suggestion about the port owner ship and other info like Tax's and such. See all that open free space on the HOME screen in port? Can we maybe get some info put in game of the Owners, Port Status, Tax rate. Maybe how long said port has been owned by current owners? Would be a great place to put current hostility ratings and by who too. If the port has a port battle scrhedual it should prob be listed here too and at what time. I know UI isn't the biggest thing on your list, but things like this will go a long way for players. I shouldn't have to click on map every 5 seconds to know hat is going on in the ports I'm currently in. I get it will need to be refreshed and all, but would be nice to have the info at your finger tips while in said port. Even if you have to make it an added tab after the conquest tab.

  22. I think I remember seeing the hostility the morning before when we where talking with the Brits to make the PB a bit later so we can not be dragging out of bed in the middle of the night. Which I don't mind doing on a weekend or holiday port battle. Though it's funny it takes all use hours to flip freaking ports and they flip them in easy time. Though I wonder how much war bombs they use? I think since patch other than defending West End from us getting double flip the only time we have used them was Bermuda cause we didn't want to stay up there for hours flipping it and it only brought it to 60% and we still spent hours flipping it. I know some guys where like, "Lets roll the DUTCH." But the majority of us was like, "Uh why? There is no point...NO PvP no RvR, just let them be." Have you checked the Testbed? ya'll will get pretty much close to what you have now with the capital and all area. Hopefully you can get some numbers back active. Kinda hate seeing a nation going to unicorn status.
  23. It was at the same time as our port battle. I didn't even know they had one until it popped up on screen and than later on said they won about 20-30 mins later. Think the Dutch kinda have become like the new Spain. Than again y'all are way over there in the corner so it's not like folks see ya'll much.

You say we are a bunch of teenagers that have hard ones to gank and kill every one, but you just went on a rant cause I made a comment about another players post in your thread that had some what to do with the topic too. Every time some one makes a comment you don't like you go on a rant....>GUESS WHAT?< that is acting just like an immature teenager. This is not a Devs discussion thread so I have the freedom and right to make my own comments and suggestions. Now if you finally going to get off your soap box I might actually read you WALL OF TEXT (as you called my post) and give some positive or negative (wait you didn't like that....with your rant) feedback on your post. If your going to post something expect to get both from all. Again I would be asking what will these new patches to do for you. Like @Jean Ribault mention above most likely we won't get any special content PvP (pirates mechanics would be nice), RP/Stats (carriers are great, but we should leave it more open based with just rank and crafting perks to make your char) or any PvE: You know what I would love more content but I think it would be best to have all resources in one place so the devs can work on it...one server and that is it. Going on a rant cause your little server (which had a pop of 34 during US prime time last night) is dead. Your not going to get any new content any time soon. So about about making suggestion for PvE content that would work on all servers instead of just one server no matter if it's PvE or PvP server? Now back to the thread I'll read over your post a bit more and add some things of my own view for helping get more PvE content on /ALL/ SERVERS.
  25. You can have the best internet in the world, but if something between you and the target has crappy intent routing it won't matter how good your personnel intent is. I get oddly bottle necked some where close to the US sever from my Texas location. I know the server is in NJ, but I tend to get bottled neck some where around TN/Virginia area when mine acts up.
