  1. TS in the old days: "I'm coming over, guys.... crap! I've already used my tp." "..." "Ok, that's it for me then, cya some other day!"

  2. I know I liked your suggestion in that other thread, tho. Long timers seek to corrupt, steal and destroy... a lot like that guy... The Devil.
  3. Interesting... I can understand this, it could very well be true. I have little invested in that part of the game so i have no input. I view this as mostly a non issue as it only affects a microscopic minority. Most players looking for a fight or easy prey just go to capital areas, freetowns or other hotspots. You're not wrong, you're simply describing a unicorn. I probably am better suited for the Sea Trials style, but it's not here yet so I agitate in the meek hope there might be a little dunce spot for me in the OW game. I've been told to leave this game many times but since the other game announcement came, such abuse has more weight to it. Quick question: Do you really want to get rid of me, Kaos, Doran, MG, Turpos, tommi and all other heavily focused action players? Is it a good thing if the OW becomes too boring and time-consuming and we play other games in anticipation of the arena game? You vote for as little comfort as possible and I vote for as much as possible.
  4. 5 min timer is broken. You're saying that we have to kill a quality of life feature (tp) because then 5 min timers will work better. 1,5 - 2 min timer is WYSIWYG as far as NA viewrange is concerned. Use sane timers and we don't have to mess with tp. Treat the root cause, not the symptom.
  5. I'm for free and easy character teleports and made noise on the forums before we had it. No or expensive teleports may make sense for role-players or RvR grognards, but you risk slapping normal and casual players in the face with too much boredom. The slogan is "get people back out in the OW" but the producing and gathering materials and resources part of this game is time-consuming enough as it is. Without easy character teleports that will consume at the very least twice as much time. For my own part I found OW without teleports or with tp cooldown to be a bit too much. It's not like we haven't tested it before, now is it?! "The economy needs it..." ... "RvR needs it!" ... "The Experience needs it..." ... I'm beginning to suspect a bunch of you guys are a tad too crazy...

  6. This is probably a courtesy to players with potato computers or lackluster internet connection. I've been in fights where I've started turning when the other guy still had the loading screen.
  7. Yes, I noticed that. Looking forward to that.
  8. I'm extremely curious to see how the sandbox hardliner 1-dura experiment will go. People have said it will fix everything the last year. I'm poised with pre-prepared thinly veiled schadenfreude. Don't mind me. I'm the guy who's constantly told I don't belong here because I don't believe loss is compatible with pvpers providing fun content for each other. I welcome the idea that I might be wrong, because then we have a game where people meet up to pew-pew each other. In that case even I win.
  9. The very best player in the entire population has played on "shit ping" since before OW happened. So shove it.
  10. I'll end up on the server with the most players. Don't care a hoot about RvR, so that makes me easy about the things you all have your panties up in a bunch about Want to stay on global, tho. I love you all and would like to see as many of you as possible.
  11. I've used finished battle instances extensively to do the speed tests. I've never actually timed it, but I think you have something like 15 to 30 minutes of time in the instance to yourself after the last enemy is gone, then the game kicks you abruptly out. No visible timer.
  12. All this sounds good and I'm sure it will make the game better. If this particular XP grind includes PVE activities we can almost be sure of what will happen: People will føkk off to some OW corner and grind out the XP for their fav. ship(s) and wait with PVP until they're fully "PVP ready". It may not be a problem for most of you but I find it sub-optimal. What if we don't get to pimp our ships by bullying bots? I know this will be controversial because people like the ability to "level up" in complete safety. Even with the already implemented PVP XP multiplier it has always been more time efficient to shit on bots instead of risking it all with PVP action. Of course, I'm only talking about the PVP servers. I don't care in the least how they do it on PVE.

    Lil Willy?

I still feel I don't get it, at all.

    Lil Willy?

I thought I got it until this response. I have to ask: What or who is Lil Willy?
  15. <Chuckles> But, seriously: Don't break the game just to get back at Doran.

  17. What are you on about?!
  18. Dude, you're killing me! I would never play NA small/large battles as it is a PVE thing because noone shows up (Looking at you, loss mechanic). That is my wot battle count, sorry for not making that clear. Ask yourself this: Why was small/large battles made to include loss?
  19. Tell you what, if the builders are able and willing to provide even the best stuff to the fighters at a rate the fighters are able to pay then I'm totally onboard. If I can only do PvP and pay my way with that activity I'll be a happy camper. From what we've had since day one up until today the reality has been far from that. I didn't have a choice to not drag myself through crafting, if I did that I would not have been able to be competitive... not even close. I get that and if it works I will stop being a bitch and enjoy the immersive gameplay. But it won't do if certain special ships or upgrades or whatever are unavailable or too expensive for a pure PvP player. The idea that we should happily go into battle with sub-optimal equipment is a strange one to me. ... Comment: I also never understood the claim that no risk/no loss would make everything boring in the end and make us leave. When will this boredom set in?

  20. Whenever 1 dura ships have been tested they have been avoided by players after the new ship curiosity has been quenched. Look at the Admin quote in my sig, that came after they reviewed numbers after a 1-dura test. Whatever we say about it our actions betrayed that we didn't like the idea of 1-dura ships. Lol, we were and still are more than one or two guys. Why do they think that, in your opinion? Opinion: I think the dura question and all kinds of loss is the biggest factor holding PvP back. <Shifts uneasily in chair> You know, eco stuff is cool and all in principle. It just seems that whatever is done eco stuff is at odds with PvP. My heart has made it's choice so I look with disdain at anything that is hurting my baby. A bombastic promise of proof. Show me.
  21. I really don't want to be bogged down with crafting. That solution is a halfway-house. A contradiction in terms. So Warthunder, WoT, WoWP, WoWS, Aces High, Battlefield et al "starves the human desire for challenge and thrill"? You confuse human desire with your own preference. Je suis carebear. You mean those that nobody wants? So the thrill you're referring to is basically the tension of having good stuff but not daring to use it unless you're prepared to pay the iron price in crafting? *sigh* You will be surprised to learn that, as I've stated in seven of the other thirteen one-dura threads, I'm willing to test it at this point. I have no faith in glorious PvP surviving 1-dura oppression, though. But I might be wrong. I want to enable and nurture willingness to PvP above everything else... EVERYTHING.

  22. I don't have to re-read, I don't approve of that^ statement. Besides, golden vs. blue considering same skill pretty much is 80-90% chance to win.
  23. You may use my speedcharts on your site if that suits you. Are you making this to be a thing that lasts or is it just a demo that won't stay live? If you'll keep it up, your site would be a better home for my charts than my own 1-2-3 wordpress "portal". If you know how to truly embed charts into a site instead of just linking, like I've done, that would be really cool. I'm also an old wotlabber, btw...
