  1. Z4ys remembering I questioned the herc vs. trinco (asked for duel on some occasion) *crickets*
  2. If that would force a duel setup I would like to enlist as victim every time I log on. System: jodgi has logged on. Tag and kill him in any ship and receive 1000 doubloon reward. Heck! I would let global know where I was going.
  3. They're working on those things, relax.
  4. lol! The last image is from a how-to post I made in Siegfried's map topic. It's not hard. Anyway, it's pointless now as I bet Felix' map will take care of most things automatically. I did this "show-off" to counterweigh the "Oh, no! we have to do all this work now to be successful traders!"
  5. Hehe, community maps, gyazo, Gsuite drawings and Google photos album made it a snap and a breeze. Google photos enables you to use it "dynamically".
  6. With all the pain that flows here due to the removal of trader tool; I thought I'd share an image that was part of the RAKER logbook, if you will, where we mapped resources. This was before player production and we used alts unabashed to fast-track eco. Bear in mind RAKERS viewed eco and crafting as necessary evils. Yup, Kaos and myself visited THE ENTIRE map to make things easier in the long run.
  7. Can't see the second image, @rediii
  8. This is what leads me to think that eco lovers are shooting themselves in the foot. Someone could probably explain this to an idiot like me...
  9. We used to to that. Even I did that.
  10. There was an interview with the devs in 2015, I think, where this attitude or design ideal was described. It's not a new thing. For better or worse; the devs have never been about handholding.
  11. Most clans store stuff they need.
  12. Yes, @thewuif has been awol a long time. He might get back to it, who knows?
  13. Maybe port search with distances will remain?
  14. The coders among us have a history of making it available for all
  15. This is encouraged. I look forward to see what you come up with!
  16. Admin had stated they will link important sites front and center, so when @Felix Victor, @qw569 or whomever make the tools they will become common knowledge.
  17. Ah, yes. Forgot about that. Still wouldn't be a massive doubloon machine. What's the harm in a tiny trickle?
  18. Ye, I'd buy any ship they would offer. I hope they don't offer 4th rates for the time being, it would cause too much noise. I'd like to see how a 5th rate DLC ship with mediocre speed profile but capable fighting abilities would fare. Would it cause forum uproar like herc and req did and does? What if DLC 5th rate users couldn't hope to chase down crafted ships but were out in OW "providing content"? I know quite a few hate DLC ships on principle, but would a slower DLC ship do any harm? The DLC ship popularity vs. the hate they get for (allegedly) ruining the economy is interesting. The chorus of that song is that eco is funked unless everyone is forced to participate. In NA everyone can freely choose if they want to participate in RvR, politics, PvP, PvE, OW hunting, big ships, small ships, and so on, or not. Sandboxers love and celebrate this type of freedom. When someone just wants to shoot at ships and opts to be excused from eco activities its suddenly *record scratch* and a stern "NO!". Can you even claim that something works if it demands people being forced into it?
  19. Due to the lowered droprate it would be the most ineffective of exploits. I fail to see the problem as those who might try it would learn there are other and much faster, easier and better ways of trading reals for doubloons.
  20. Shots fired! My dear, dear AH. WoT is great and all but needs to fend for itself. NA and AH are things of beauty I will defend irrationally.
  21. !?! Noone is taking your precious crafting and trading away. I'm the least catered to player there is! I'm a victim, a martyr! I'm here because NA combat is so frikkin' good I'm not able to walk away. I sail for hours finding nothing or just beating up helpless smaller ships. The fun fights/time ratio is horrendous to me. But then I know I might meet rediii again, so he can beat me up. Or I might meet Ram again, so he can beat me up (ask them, they'll confirm). I'm just a hopeless romantic and not the antichrist of all things you hold dear.
  22. This is the best bit I've read here for a long time. Please don't say it ain't so! PvE players are killing the economy! Perfection...
  23. Hmm .. I only pop in on occasion because after the wave of f2p games came only Americans seem to play it, that sucks for an action hungry eurohead. I have intense sympathy for US NA fans who experience the opposite here. I played AH in pre WoT times where they had to split servers to accommodate everyone, 1-2k concurrent players. I've never seen less salt and toxicity than in AH, makes me sad to hear you've had a wildly different experience. I was *cough* part of the elite *cough* and some of our number would prey on the weak in the most meta machines, but most would fly perceived weak planes to get global kill messages in shit planes (kill and get back safe).
  24. I agree, no need to remove. But, heck! If the pve lords went ballistic over repair changes we could have separate repair mechanics for pve and PvP. Lol, now that I've written it out I see that's unlikely... But if bot bullies' rebellion is what makes better PvP "impossible" it is an option. Bad option better than no option?
