Crafting Recipes (Excl. Ships) - Modules Recipes + Stats
admin replied to TommyShelby's topic in Guides - development forum
Anchor weights with proper measurements are added to iron fittings. basically iron fittings include most metal parts including Anchors. Cables and howlers is separate and based on our research (which might be wrong) it required iron. -

Crafting Recipes (Excl. Ships) - Modules Recipes + Stats

Tommy is making better excels than we do !!! seriously. -
It happened to me even. But it only happens once or twice. if you capture ships you never run out of guns.
-
The design decision on this is simple Ships were built for shipyards and then had their guns equipped elsewhere. Very often the selection of guns (if of course they were available) was decided by the Captain. This is implemented in the game. Most often than not this mistake can only be done once, and is usually done on light small vessels. So it is not very costly and you can make the money for additional guns in 2-3 battles.

we can't do it yet, due to other priorities. Some day we will add those features.

Groups are already are placed to one side.
-
yes 1) partial sinkings needed for victory 2) ability to exit if you are out of combat and have already destroyed 80% of enemy fleet. 3) etc... Please propose ideas in the list format explaining how that should work. and not here. this is a tribunal topic. start a topic about events please - its important because rules in events are important for port battles. Whatever does not work there will not work in PBs
-
Well will try to explain You lose ships in the events now. Some people prefer to save the ship and run around in circles. Because if another side exits then their ships are lost too.
-
we said expect bugs based on the screens i have seen in the tribunal MM definitely is not working as intended. OR perhaps yacht BR must go down.
-
This was a common behavior for people who start participating in the events. We have seen this before in the Sea trials 1. Players were trying to save a ship or attempt to win by running down a timer. Battle circle is bugged now i think - it should have solved this problem. Captain will be warned. Battle circle will return next week.

Language spoken on global.
admin replied to nornica's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
It's Caribbean. Melting pot of cultures. All languages are allowed in chat. Its that simple. Players are given tools to help themselves to clean up the chat. Ignore list allows you to ignore other languages. -
for next week we can move the event timers if needed. Please propose large battle events times (must be every 2-3 hours) .
-
That's very realistic. Only enemy ships that reached those ports after US was officially created were german u-boats.

I like these topics It means its not deployed yet.

It does not matter if they are disabled or enabled. They are either there, or not there. Having them on 0 (false) - you still have them in the system. Having them on/off actually increases the numbers. Because now you will have to transmit 2 numbers instead of 1 from each player on all other 49 players. Adding distance makes it even worse - now you have to calculate and transmit distances for all combinations of players. answer: no In the single player game some day, when we won't need to worry about hacking and can keep everything on the client. ps. visibility calculations in WOT consume 30-35% of server capacity.

Thank you very much for bringing this up.

Regulare Updates and Responses...
admin replied to Jon Melkier's topic in Forum and website problems and improvements
We do provide regular updates and responses when we have something to say. -
Entanglement existed in the early version of the game - ships were stuck until the end of the battle. It was fun for the winner + creates unrealistic disentanglement. It is impossible to unstuck ships without some clowney ship jumping ruining the visuals (thats how physx works). In addition to that having so many extra physical colliders (50 potentially unique bowsprits, and 150 potentially unique shrouds as we have a lot of different vessels) will force us to reduce the number of ships per battle. It will only be possible in 3-5 years once Moore's law does its thing a couple of times more. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moore%27s_law) So the choice is simple: large battles (e.g. port battles) or realistic entanglement. Or significantly limit the number of vessels stripping all those age of sail beauties away from the game and leaving only standard ships - lets say one standard ship per rate simplifying the complexity. + We see a double standard here. First you guys request that repeat boarding should not happen, then you support proper realistic entanglement for boarding that creates guaranteed repeat boarding.

Должны завтра выдать - если гром не грянет.

In the long term we plan to recreate interesting battles from all time periods. We are currently working on improving the engine and visuals for the next generation of strategy games. Next game will definitely feature a series of battles as your financial support allows us to expand a scope for the game. Thank you for the suggestions by the way.

Captains.. There were several proposals on the Navy officer role and we would like to discuss it in depth here. Just to keep expectations clear. We are of course not saying or promising this will be done. It is just a discussion. Proposed Navy roles Naval officer Works for the Admiralty of their respective country. Receives salary - does not make money by selling ships. Does not pick ships - ships are assigned by the Admiralty randomly according to rank and achievements. Cannot capture ships - ships are sent to Admiralty for admiralty points. Does not hire crew - crews are supplied by the Admiralty with ships Repairs are provided by Admiralty Has to fulfill duties - must fight, must accept battles Top rated ships are assigned based on leaderboards Upgrades/officers and unique content can be bought from the Admiralty store for points. Ships for the admiralty stores are supplied by crafters. Can buy ships for himself if he has money (but those will be limited due to low salaries) Basically a combat class that does not think about the cash and is always supplied for combat. Ideal for the player who is not interested Privateer/Pirate Works for himself buying a patent. Patent costs money per month Can capture ships for himself Have to hire crew and pay salaries for the crew and officers Have to repair ships Can sail any ship if he can hire and support the crew Crafter (support role but both officers and privateers can be crafters too) Makes ships for the admiralty and privateers The guy with money Admiralty Buys ships and upgrades from crafters Supplies ships and upgrades to naval officers according to fame ratings The drawback of this system is the lack of freedom. Right now you can sail any ship you want and see and can buy or capture. In the defined roles scenarios most players won't be able
