  1. we need generic sounds mostly things crew shout to each other and respond to each other during battle, or even just standing doing nothing. what would you hear on deck basically.. if you just stand there and listen.
  2. Hello captains Need more ideas for the battle shouts and call backs from the age of sail enthusiasts. How it will work in game The crews will shout random commands and responses during battle. Sometimes they will be battle related, action related or activity related. For example the shout. boarding related Shout: Sand the decks (before boarding to not slip on blood). Call back: Aye Captain, bring the sand to decks. general Shout: Whats the distance Call back: 400 yards Captain Not every shout needs a call back For example Where is the boatswain? Could just be a shout. Please provide ideas on such shouts and call backs. Neutral generic activities (like calling the boatswain to quarterdeck, or any generic chatter) - main priority Boarding preparation and boarding Firing and preparation to fire Other activities. Must be age of sail related and preferably in the 18th century language.
  3. Flank em (and use allies). Arrange 2 PB they will have to split. If all enemies know there are 50-60 players in fleets this can translate into a lot of pvp in that area.

  5. but unlike previous system (bought a flag, got a pb) you can stop it by reducing hostility, if you see hostility going up go there and stop it by counter actions, pvp, pve, war supplies deliveries. raising hostility should take some effort - so we currently doubt you will see 10 port battles in 1 day There are 2 limits we can control and change based on testing results Number of port battles per day (currently 2) Number of total regions that can gain hostility (currently Number of Nations*2)

  8. There are no more ports per se. Nations capture regions. You can't capture one of the ports. If you raised hostility to 100% and won a decisive battle 46 hours later you will conquer whole region. Hostility can be generated anywhere in the region. some regions will be easier to attack some easier to defend. Smaller compact regions will be easy to defend. Large spread out regions (gulf coast) will be easier to attack. In this patch port battles themselves will be old style towers in the open sea. In the next patch port battles will run with land that will be based on the regional capital of that region. For example. Battle for the Cartagena region will be fought in the cartagena harbor. With all positive and negative things coming out of that, with main negative being the geographical defensive capability of some harbors. Geography will play important role and some harbors will be extremely hard to capture. That is the main reason why the land in pb is not in yet. though all systems are coded in June. It is just not ready because we did not have time to properly test it internally (there were always something of higher priority). But we started to roll out parts of that code into the game (in forms of OW towers and forts for testing).

  9. The wipe will be necessary as the ea money and systems were in the process of tuning. All MMO and majority of coop/single player games wipe progress achieved in testing prior to the release. Some provide rewards for that testing.. we plan that too. what did change with contents?

Там просто игра крутая пвп норм - 8 человек в инсте сингл плеерная компания крутая все бесшовное процедурное - я аж два раза прошел больше времени нет - патч мы попробовали нападение на всех всеми не работает так как люди просто эксплойтят - например нападая на друг друга - когда запахло жареным пофиксить человеческую натуру невозможно
  16. there is already a small BR multiplier in game it gives you more rewards if you kill a ship with higher br than yours it was bigger before and was abused the group BR vs group BR was also implemented and switched off as it provides even more abuse potential.

  18. One of the famous board game designers have said. No board game have yet recreated the mess of the battlefield from the perspective of the general. When units have their own mind and sometimes don't do things you want them to do and vice versa. We tried and i think came close to that in UGG that is why UGG was named Wargame of the year in 2014 by PCGamesN and was indicted in the top 20 war-games of all time by PC Gamer We have never thought of recreating Sid Meier's classic. It is another painting and copying other paintings is not what good artists do. UGG was and is supposed to depict this. With all its flaws you can only get this feeling in our game. it is one of the best depictions of the ACW combat (to our opinion of course)

  21. Port battles are coming. And they were done in September but because of other content they were not given out - because other things were broken, no content can be given out if something else is broken. The build is like a soup. You cannot take salt out if you want to give carrots to try, if you take it out something else might start tasting weird. Separating everything into blocks is possible but extremely expensive. We know that general community is probably not ready for live development with some parts of the game broken.

  22. the benefit - many good features or bug fixes will get to live immediately once they are done. the drawback - a lot of things will stop working too in the process for example we could deliver new roe, rookie zones, delivery quests, multiple bug fixes (including bucentaure and aga low guns) long ago but we could not. because port battles are also in that patch and they were broken for a long time.

    Ah yes war of rights - we have a special interest in the Civil war topic. Thanks for reminding about it. Will write them an email to ask if they want sailing ironclads in the game HG i think is honest and fair and has no mixed messages. You will do better if you pay, but you still can get almost everything for free. People buy a lot of power.
  24. the better way is to not have a testbed and have a live development without internal testing, like it was before release. Every change is pushed to live for immediate testing, without fear of delivering something broken (because its early access). Maintaining separate threads is a time waste. And only after release have 2 versions (test bed and live)
