  2. for pve farming i need 24lb carronades and 50 of them will cost me 50000 if i craft them. (600 cost + 400 extra effort) Then i will be getting from 20 to 30k per engagement in pve against enemies that do not really defend themselves then (+loot and guns). (of course i will be doing that away from main combat areas to stay safe). And i will be robbing NPC LGVs if i need more and sometimes they will drop something expensive.
  3. it just seems it cannot be undone/unseen. players prefer simplicity of clicking a button and getting to the mission. even if it removes the excitement of search and hunt. our new mission system will try to address it.
  4. but pve server has 1500 varied fleets for like 200 players - you can imagine that you are hunting them in the open world on orders without being chained to one port. having said that - we are working on new pve content.
  5. wot is a bad example because you don't lose anything in wot the better comparison would be EVE Online and you can lose ship and will have to grind it back NA legends will be a purely combat game and will not have a ship loss at all.

  11. Based on what we know from last year. Money is not going to be a problem in a very near future. For 3 reasons Unlimited supply of trading resources (they spawn every day) Unlimited supply of NPC combat and trading ships Unlimited supply of missions When i reached lvl 2 on my new player yesterday (after 2 evenings of playtime) i already had 75k. I could only sail a pickle or a privateer, but was already able to afford an unarmed frigate (at 50k)
  12. he is probably selling a gifted pickle from redeemables. Those redeemables ships will have a low price for a while (all accounts received them and we have 50000 accounts on pvp eu for example)
  13. step by step we will find balance. crafted ships must be cheaper than npc sold vessels.
  14. Captains Patch was deployed to live servers today. NPC Traders no longer have contraband status. That was causing a lot of issues when attacking them sometimes (due to their duality status). All regions have enemy traders assigned to them for easy privateering. As a result of this change some traders might have protection now (as they are no longer contraband carriers). NPC traders now always try to stock goods on the routes back from their trading destinations Combat npc ships now always try to carry something of use NPC Ships prices adjusted to provide more benefits to crafters, it will take some time (up to a week) for this effect to spread across the Caribbean Low level mission rewards slightly increased Crafting notes blueprints removed Critical cannon stacking bug fixed (that caused locked cannon ui requiring players to relog).
  15. it seems that missions are mixed up captains who were doing first rank missions (for example midshipman for britain) should do ensign missions instead. (second from top in choices)
  16. Based on the forum posts and in game conversations since the incident members who participated in the Cap Francois exploit have no desire to change their ways. Despite exemplary and truly great offer by LV trying to sacrifice himself for his clan we have decided that the punishment will stay, as it seems some of the members of the clan don't deserve such sacrifice by LV. Attempts by clan members to troll volunteers in game or try to rant and derail topic discussions like they did before on this forum will be met with warnings and strict moderation.
  17. Update 3 pirates who offered us a written apology, left a promise to avoid such actions in the future, left the clan who led them to this exploit had their rank partially restored similar to the level of punishment of french captains and Cpt christendom.

  18. maybe players play them as rifiters? basic cutter problem is back and will disappear once players try changes and move on. It happened last january and will happen again on release. Should we deny cutters ability to contribute from the start AND spend time on coding (like we did on auto disconnect and queues that became useless in 2 months)?
  19. mirroring is impossible. servers and progress on them are now separate and don't sync between each other. There might be an item providing server transfer in the future.
  20. all NPC traders are contraband traders.
  21. Previously the tag was requested to be removed because of other reasons including the insignia that was present in some materials posted on the forums. If no clear link can be established between symbols or names forbidden in certain countries (e.g Germany) then the tag can be allowed.

Topic is a rant Please if report specifics. like if you are unhappy about a clan tag.. report a clantag in a separate topic. if you believe moderators were unfair to you report it in a separate topic french captain mentioned by you in the topic was awarded by extra xp and was given a new ship.

  24. you seem to jump to conclusions a lot. we are talking about the ability to acquire blueprints. which currently does not exist. .this is under review.
