Monetary supply was cut drastically in the wipe patch. For example will be relaxing costs for some of the lower tier vessels in the near future.

Trying to solve revenge fleet problem
admin replied to elite92's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
guys What is this - Sex in the City? We don't have time to see everything, and have work to do. The problems described here are known and there is no point to go around them over and over and over and over again. If you mention me @Liquicity it gives you nothing as we don't see notifications, we just have thousands per week. That's why we insist that players only stay on topic, provide constructive feedback in structured form and bash the shitposters as they just help your great ideas and messages to get lost in the noise. -

but don't they eventually get a nice and large revenge fleet vs revenge fleet battle? -
Trying to solve revenge fleet problem

any tag becomes too powerful that's why it is so painful to unsee the BRS You could escape any battle before. You cannot escape a smart opponent now if you are in his home waters. attack npc - tp to home port or sit in battle screen attack a pirate - tp to home port or sit in battle screen join a battle or a mission - tp to home port or sit in battle screen Now if you see the enemy and if you have numbers you know if he does make mistakes = he will sink today. Why should we deny this gameplay to another side? They have fun sinking people who venture into their homes to kill them -
that will be adjusted next week Regarding monopoly you cant promote trade by monopoly on certain resources - nations play to destroy not to trade If there is a monopoly forums and steam forums will be overwhelmed by complaints that venetians got something barbarians did not. Or vice versa
-
we promised a realistic experience. Now you experienced everything, under cover deals, peace times, alliances, periods of war and frustration, nations destroyed, long chases, short chases, fleet action, small ship action, betrayals, backstabbings et cetera et cetera. If you are tired of that maybe its time to retire? Because game is as promised - minor tweaks remain. And its extremely good for an indie game.

Ships carrying repairs could repair multiple times during the voyage. During Glorious first of June many British ships repaired multiple times and re-engaged the french within single day (which happens during long fighs) You want no repairs because it brings more skill and tactics to you your game is naval action legends then You want repairs if you are interested in economy, endurance and strategy which open world game gives you. Repairs force players to be aggressive and not passive and passive combat achieve nothing in NA, just like real life long range line fighting was proven to be completely useless by end of 18th century. repairs will remain and we like their implementation because they promote historical aggressive combat and discourage long range pew pew

Your proposal will not work as we have too many nations. And players dont appreciate such system you described. Try imagining it with ships. Lets assume for a second that santisima is only available in habana and ocean in France. It will of course generate great trading opportunities. But also it will generate a lot of whining. That will exceed the volume from happiness from traders. Not going to get done.

there is no grind. We just want full knowledge unlocks to belong to truly dedicated players (but it will get adjusted soon) I had to start 5 characters last 3 weeks to test some changes rookie experience. Every character had like 200-300k by 3rd day by doing almost nothing (except for some trader robbing and missions and some pvp near havana) And you get into a snow after 3 hours.

no. This game has a huge potential in Korea, China and Japan Also we will fix some of the things that are limiting fun in getting to pvp.
-
which would be?

You are twisting my words, based on strange unwarranted things said by massimo We talk to everyone and listen to everyone and take notes of most things that are worth attention. Majority of features and fixes were proposed by players. Do you for example know that you can move your camera without losing a lock on target and without moving a fire sector by pressing alt. It was a player proposed feature. It was done because it was proposed by nice constructive testers. Protractor was done in a couple of says because @koltes is a nice guy and showed us a great simple way to implement it. But we know most players in this topic are frustrated. Happy players dont say thank you unfortunately. We have never received a thank you letter from any Spaniard who got the chance to sail the Santisima in combat for example, while we get a weekly letter on how we ruined spain or where the fuck are dutch ships So if players want something to be implemented. they have to be nice here. Because according to our greenlight promises we are done. We did all we promised long ago. 10 ships, open world, port battles, basic crafting, basic trading, ability to upgrade the ships.

you see - the problem is that you only tell us about one side of the problem For the other side its extremely fun and is exciting gameplay. We dont see them complaining about timers! Because they just have fun and use what they have. Just like the cutters they had fun in cutters you forced us to cut it out.
-
As i am making the game for myself first and i want everything proper and perfect (for me) so i can play every day. I want all battles to be open for 1 hour so they can deteriorate into a huge exciting mess by the end with lots of back and fort. It took a lot of time to reform this position - but for me it is still a huge compromise. The main problem is of course land in battles. It is the source of the 90% of issues with long timers. Before land ROE was perfect.
-
You told me something sucks = you are frustrated. Happy people just play the game. Your statement just shows that perhaps you don't know what you want to say or what you mean. Majority of players prefer honest and direct developers who tell it as it is. You are in the minority We tell it as it is. We cut the money supply so much that it might hurt so we better control where we still have holes before the release We removed all npc supply of resources to judge if we give players too much production capacity so we can fix it before the release We still experiment with rewards and conquest motivations (but loot is already a bit better than before).
-
The problem is that forums are visited by players who are unhappy who vent their frustration. We have to talk to them but we also have to defend our decisions. We believe current direction is right. Happy players play the game and we never hear them. Thats how many stupid features appeared because by only listening to unhappy people we made the game worse for the happy ones. (Like the 1.5 br lock, or insta close)

30 min invisibility timer and 60 mins invulnerability timer will make defense fleets disappear completely
-
its a bug,
-
well we know for sure majority wants battles open for 10 mins or more
-
We will never get tired to change things to try find a better implementation. Our heads never spin. Maybe we were born to be pilots or something. You on the other hand seem to be getting excited too easily during heated conversations about serious things and forget about rule one (respect to others) This is your last warning.

you'll come back after operation hydra. or maybe retire as a famous solo pvper. We pay extremely close attention to economy and make small adjustments weekly while analyzing stocks daily. But the mechanic where NPC buyer agents can run out of money and drop the price to 1 is going to remain. We want players to compete and find new routes constantly and they constantly appear.
-
i think they have a low chance to spawn now.. need to check that
-
He wants insta closed battles maybe - but majority does not want them.
-
Economy requires thinking and searching for good deals and finding the demand. Its not a printing machine. You can still make a lot of money trading. But easy routes are now filled with goods. For example fully stocked repairs in free towns. Aren't they a beauty. All fully player driven. Cities where people buy them a lot will continue to buy them. Cities where is no pvp around will be fully stocked and wont buy anything.

Wait. You forgot about relaxing times on the pve server. You can even capture Ocean first rate from an NPC. Maybe you should stop pretending that you really want a pvp world where your actions can matter.
