  1. Sorry i dont get you. Before you got chased in your LGV and couldnt leave because you got tagged in that 750m (what is the distance control works) Your sails are an easy target you wont be able to leave at a range of 750m anyway. Now you cant leave because you still get tagged while after you left the control rad, chasers still will keep you tagged. Where is the differnece other that some ships are now usefull and hopefully will get used more. And control vs control fastes will force teh fight like it should be.
  2. At the range control keeps you in battle there is no skill in tagging involved You guys act like control has a 10km rad.
  3. Now you got more option of ships to choose from. Its good in my opinion.
  4. Where is the difference? Before you stayed in battle because you got tagged. Ball tagging range is bigger than control range. There is really no difference other than that you can use the ship to chase people that run.
  5. Wood types have no effect on hull color
  6. Does that mean a fir/fir ship has less strong (hp wise) masts than a live oak white oak ship?
  7. At least you confirm its not op^^
  8. You will laugh many people watch movies while they sail ;-) whats the difference between 5 endy chasing you and now 5 renos chasing you? I see none. Game looks fine to me.
  9. You can always stop a ship that chases you by killing/fighting it. But the chaser with no chaseguns is not able to force a fight. This is a game about fighting. Some ships had not the abilitty to force fights. Now they are even with every other ship. They are became a real ship choice.
  10. Whats different to use ball against you? I mean they are fast they will ctach you in no time. You can counter it by slowing them down like you would do it when some tag you with ball.
  11. What do you fear?
  12. Again you consider cerb, essex, merc and brig as fast? And isnt it "more magic" to just leave battle while beeing 10m in front? Have you ever tried out the control perk? Have you ever really sailed a ship without bow chasers. Ofc now you cant just say "hello kitty" to such a ship and sail staright away while they have to turn to tag you. I feel your pain.
  13. I understand but because of you logic endy shouldn't have chasers ;-)
  14. Have you ever really played with control perk? You can always escape. When you are faster and play smart. I guess you are talking about the lgv. Tell me what changes for you? Players will keep you tagged with chasers if you don't play smart. So what will change now? Tell me exactly. (By the way ball tagging range is much further than control distance)
  15. So brig, cerb merc are the fastest ship in-game? Ah yeah wait it's the endy that has chasers ontop
  16. Why it is dumb? Why people think control is a bad thing for these handicapped ships when tagging is the most important part in game?
  17. What I mean by that is: I sailed 5 min heading SW so i might be here when i change heading due N i might end up there. I guess most people know N, E, S and W. But yeah people dont bother to use the brain because copy paste is easier. And afk sailing. There is not really a lack of navigation tools.
  18. Even escaping is a skill that has to be learned
  19. + give steam achievements for doing them
  20. Dont get me wrong. I dont want to criticize your effort. There really was a need for the map especially as we had no map ingame.
  21. You might consider to visit shroud cay. Ships are cheap dont consume a lot of repairs. Perfect to start pvping (Avoid Sin perdon for the beginning)
  22. What about Lhermione? ;-)
  23. yeah most people i sail with never learned to read the map they just copy paste the f11 coordinates and use a 3rd party map. Its a shame.
  24. Guess we have to differ. For me its always a magic moment when i give @Hethwill command to lead and navigate the raiding grp and we get lost after a few minutes sail "We are clos eto arthurs town" but actually it was port howe Its fun and a magic moment for me to recalculate our headings and determine our position (without all the 3rd party maptools) and finally get a perfect landfall. But I obtained the tools to do so in over a long time playing the game. Who actually use a map when driving the car? We all use our gps navi. I dont think the average player knows how to use a map right after he/she installed NA. Its knowledge that has to be obtained. Sure for the ones that know how a map works for them they might even have the magic moment right at the beginning but thinking about average. This player will just be frustrated because he/she doesnt know how to do. I dont say make it easy. But give an helping hand to the really new guys till they know how navigation works so they can solve it on their own. Thats the time when you have your magic moment.
