  1. Shame is that changing nation is the way of low resistance here Thx for the detailed explanation and history references
  2. @Malcolm3 Spaniards did
  3. In my opinion I see a mismatch here. When raids are small grp content (up to 6 people) why is linked to national activity (conquering a port close by). At 11 p.m. on this day in 1778, Commander John Paul Jones leads a small detachment of two boats from his ship, the USS Ranger, to raid the shallow port at Whitehaven, England, where, by his own account, 400 British merchant ships are anchored. Jones was hoping to reach the port at midnight, when ebb tide would leave the shops at their most vulnerable. John Paul Jones crossed the northern atlantic without a base close to Whitehaven. Furthermore all the is nullified by the RNG of the mission spawn. Finally when Raids should be national effort - dividing a raidchest through 25 people still doesnt justify the effort that is put into it. My opinion How I would like it to be small grp content less boundaries regarding target choice (Raidchest timer could be linked to distance raided port + mission pulled) Stricter player fleet composition (not all player ships should be 1st rates) - therefore scale the reward by higher difficulty + port revenue
  4. @admin Regarding Player Raid: Reward (Raidchest) vs Time + Risk is heavily imbalanced on the time + risk side. Even with only small risk involved it was hard to motivated players to participate in this activity due to a lack of reward.
  5. Normally Russia can screen + have a portbattle fleet. Both battles were defending portbattles so only 2 fleets required. Russia owns a huge territory. Maybe they encounter the first signs of being overextended? who knows. In my opinion both battles were possible to fight for russia especially as whole nation. But maybe it was childish stubbornness paired with a try to proof their point in not showing up to a player rvr fight so it can later be said: "Npc raids are shit" while meaning dont touch the status quo. But ofc just guessing here
  6. NPC Raiders and Brits attacking Russia gave Prussia content. In my opinion NPC Raiders arent a bad mechanic. The trigger mechanic tho could be improved.
  7. suggest it pls. Here nobody will pay attention
  8. I played on global with 110-150 ms and I really felt no difference compared to 10 ms regarding raking demasting.
  9. The port makes money so it could have a timer. Therefore the battle could have been forced to a more fitting timewindow instead of being late/early for EU players (which is primetime for US East etc). @Jan BellaqThe comment wasnt salty in any way. 250k isnt much when you look at the tax some ports generate. @qw569 has nice charts about port revenue. For example Vera cruz making 5kk so a timer of 250k is actual nothing compared to the revenue.
  10. NPCs raid ports that are top ports of the nation. Dutch just didnt wanted to pay a timer for a port that players cant attack - it looks like.
  11. I doubt. Because npc raid is more a pvp feature Drama = pvp
  12. We will not agree with each other. Personally I think its a great feature. Maybe my nation can now RvR without the top 3 nation being so board to death to come to every RvR battle even they are not affected. Looking forward how it will affect RvR. Maybe even player return because now the typical 3 arent always the winners. Thats boring as well. Smaller nations need the manpower first and time to figure it out. They cant be spontaneous like bigger nations with manpower. Announcment of NPC attacking for real was today/yesterday. Most of the smaller nations arent even in RvE because of the pointless endeavour it was before. Might change and get interesting now.
  13. Actions on weekend are good for the working part of the community
  14. Same port cant be attacked for 2 weeks when defended. Raids only happen on weekends. I dont see the overkill here. I isnt like npc are raiding players 24/7.
  15. It was live for over 3 weeks? Why complain now? Because of being affected?
  16. Come to prussia we aint raided by npcs 😉
  17. I believe this is intended 😉 I highlighted the intresting part
  18. @Cetric de Cornusiac the only way i see is getting trustworthy firends. But i feel with you because this kind of behavior is more related to pvp servers and might even been a reason for playing on a pve server to avoid such kind of drama.
  19. New content coming soon! (new ships)
  20. To much of an exploit create a clan capture a port everyone except 1 leave clan put the new clan on the friendlist never fear of being raided by npcs
  21. In my opinion the current way ingame reports are made is insufficient. Not only for chat violation but for reporting offensive names too. Therefore I request an additional button for reporting ingame player names. Or a 2nd menu opening when using the Report button a la f11 window so its possible to present some addional info and make the "Why I reported this player" for the devs more obvious. Below are 2 examples how it could look like:
  22. Oh boy * starts dreaming* and I can not lie - You other brothers can't deny.... I would buy them + I would sail them. But is that enough? I am still waiting for more shallow action. Like epic shallow events + shallow grp missions etc
  23. who will actual sail those ships?
