There's no way to do it right. There will always be the guy who is pissed.

Some areas like Antilles are really crap for pvp. Danes can run from virgin islands to their capital without fear. As soon they are in tag range (because you have to hide otherwise they stay in port) and the ultra long tag timer that isn't related to OW speed is running down they are able to pop into port or so close to forts that it would be madness to keep attacking. Same for swedes. Even for French. And the best part: mostly all ports that have basic ship crafting materials are within these zones. To get someone tagge at these areas he must be AFK or a newbie who has no clue what he is doing. So it's just protection for vets who are not supposed to be protected.

So smoke flys against the wind? No Look at the vid. The smoke is blown away with the wind (HINT: if you keep watching a few mins more there is a flag that shows the wind direction). So when I shoot against the wind the smoke should come back as soon cannon blast loses its power. I am asking for a fix that smoke should be effected by wind direction. On live servers it works but not on the testserver.
-
Look at the flags. The wind should blow the smoke above the ship deck. And not behind the ship. On testserver smoke wind direction is not equal to sailing wind direction. So what's the problem? I just wanted to make sure that nobody thinks the smoke on testserver is behind the ship because it's moving while the ui with wind direction and ship speed is hidden. As I said previously I wanted to test if I can set my own sails on fire by shooting a broadside against the wind. That's why sails are raised but turned so that the ship hasn't any forward movement to maximize sparks flying over the deck. So what's the problem or your remark?

Be Captain Ahab sail the Wasa they said. We all just should wait till paints get back into the game. I am certain we will be able to change the ship appearance.
-
Its not about the look. Its about how the smoke behave. The direction it flys away. look at the wind Both ships are standing still so the smoke should fly above the deck (like on the live server). I actually tested it to test if i can set my sails on fire by shooting against the wind. ( Which not happened in 15 mins so its not in or chance is very low or its a bug)

I could play NA only on middle settings(and water + shadow at low Max fps 30) so my laptop don't overheat. Now I can play at ultra and Max 30 fps and my laptop keeps cool. Unity 5 port is a really good improvement for me.

Mast thickness of the prince is 0 (at least in ship tooltip)

The gun smoke acts a litte bit weird compared to the wind at least for me. And I can see my name above the ship. Dont know if its intended.

Server Health is a Game Design Issue
z4ys replied to Tenet's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
That's called tester (forum title). In ancient times they suggested stuff and were in direct contact with devs but then something happened. Now most of them have quit the cooperation. Dig a little bit around what for awesome suggestion are here in the forum about pirates exploration etc. Stuff that would offer game content and game experience besides combat. But will never get in because of whatever reasons. Devs should decide how they want their game to look like and keep that direction so they can release it. With changing direction over and over again they just scare people away. How can you recommend a game when the next patch could attract an other target audience like before. The most important thing that has to change is naval actions ambivalence. The game needs a clear direction. -

Perhaps people who are supposedly interested into the game lost faith while the game lays dead in the water like a ship in a dead calm sea. As 10.0 was announced I thought thats the final direction devs want to push that game. For me it was an huge game improvement. Finally OW got love which was missing for so long. But as soon the sails picked up some wind the wind dropped again. Whats the direction of the game? Hardcore or causal because at the moment its nothing of each. It has elements of both. Thats the steam info about the game: Naval Action is a hardcore, realistic, and beautifully detailed naval combat sandbox immersing players into the experience of the most beautiful period of naval history ... Hardcore: 1 Dura Sailingtime Anti Hardcore: Teleports capturable AI ships ROE Pirates RvR Realistic: Combat Anti Realistic Teleports ROE Crafting (How its ingame) OW Ship sailingprofils Trading (How its ingame) Whenever I think devs picked a direction the next update is to change the direction back to the previous statusquo. (Hardcore to causual back to hardcore back to causal) In my opinion its about time that devs take the helm and plot a course. The ship is rudderless for quite some time, so whats our heading captain? I want to Believe! But at the moment I am confused what that game supposed to be. -
Oh yes I like it. It would make alts much more easier to use. That would really improve my gameplay with 12 alts. Less clicks while shifting money. I appreciate the suggestion.

But shows how broken the mission system is.
-
A even more safer way is: 1. Take a mission at your capital 2. Cancel the mission as long it doesn't spawn in the safe zone 3. Enter the highest rank mission in your safe zone. 4. Enjoy pve

I dont care about Black. Pirates =/= Black
-
Captain I see you like to repeat yourself in every new topic but why do you think nationals are soooooooooooooooooooooo jealous about pirates? I guess you fail to understand what are the suggestions are all about. To make pirates real pirates, a special gameplay choice and not only an other nation.
-
Tbh I couldn't care less. Is it just me or do it sound like a children sandbox war?
-
One or two weeks and then the waves are to high or the wind to strong?
-
But but but pirates need the 5slot ships so they can be competitive in boarding otherwise everyone could see that they are average. This shows the downside of the game. People think they need the best ship with the best equipment to do pvp. In others words they are never rdy. But that's not true. It could be more fun to sail out in a zero slot brig than to sit all day in port with a 5slot santi.
