The difference is you're not sitting there hammering on the other account's ship, while it sits there doing nothing. In this situation, you've just drawn in a ton of angry, swarming AI ships who are going to be fighting you tooth and nail. Repair bills all around, it's not overt damage farming.

I would assume if they had them historically, they'll have them here too.

Mr. Decatur is on the right track. Does the community think this is ok, considering you can do the same thing by camping a third rate fleet spawn? Or is this behavior out of line? What are people's thoughts?

This is National News and Diplomacy. We need more content than a trolling meme image with a battle result. Let's put some story or diplomacy into these threads please.

People don't get a free pass three times if their offense is significant or persistent enough. "This policy may be bypassed completely in favor of permanent revocation of a forum user’s posting privileges." Would you rather we just follow that to the letter and revoke your chat permissions permanently? While that policy is generally followed for light infractions, it may be short circuited or bypassed altogether at the discretion of the Developers or Moderation Staff. Further spamming of the forums regarding this issue, or claims of "abuse of powers" will result in additional warnings and may result in a period of pre-moderation of your posts. This is not for the discussion of whether or not you should have received a ban, nor for how long it should have been - this is for making a quick request to get more information about your ban. Stop trolling.

Removed unnecessary poll. Galileus has a good point - what would the role of these cannon be - their advantages and disadvantages compared to what is in game? Were they present in the late 1700's/early 1800's?

The only unobtainable ship is the Yacht. All other ships can now be crafted. The yacht was specifically promised to people who supported the game before Early Access, there will be other ships in the future that will be awarded for testing and helping out in this phase. Ships listing is not historical. These ships didn't have compartments that would hold the water and allow the ship to become imbalanced to one side or the other - the bilge, orlop, and gun deck(s) were effectively open all the way through the ship. This means that they would settle relatively evenly - assuming the overall weight was evenly distributed. They generally sank upright, they didn't list much (though they did tend to roll more heavily as they flooded).

Those numbers are usually due to lag and go back to a more normal number shortly after spiking. The actual speed and position are calculated server side and are not able to be changed.

Unfortunately they are lost forever.

First, find out why you were banned (hopefully Ink will be along shortly). If the ban was for your name, you'll need to change your name and then let Ink know. If it was for chat violations, you should have your chat back in 1-7 days depending on the severity of the violation.

I'm not sure I understand what I'm looking at here. Can you please explain it more fully and provide additional screenshots to illustrate what your complaint is?
