The general workaround for such cases is to reload Steam. However if Steam experience issues it might take some time to stabilize. Unfortunately this issue is not directly related to our servers and we cannot affect it -

Captains, there is a confirmed bug with the northwind Endymion paint after today's update, it will be fixed tomorrow most likely

Could you please try to plug them one by one to check what device cause the problem in your case?

The first workaround to try is to unplug all joysticks, hotas and pedals you have and check the game, please clarify if you have no joysticks plugged.

Captains, there is no bug, please use appropriate forum section to propose gameplay suggestions. At the moment you have to collect the whole loot from wreck at once by design. Trader brig and traders above are a better choose if you want to be sure you will be able to pick all the loot at once.
