  4. Got it for myself and did a giveaway on twitch for one aswell You should really think about adding more cosmetic dlcs. Im sure a whole lot wouls buy them - to fund even more future ships E.g. Clan flag (permit) Colored sails Player (name) cosmetics - im sure some pirates would pay to have a black name Emote pack dlc - maybe in Form of chat smileys / ... ...

  6. 1 point every 7 seconds per ship in circle Scenario: 10 1st rates get ro a circle ("low risk task" according to you) 1000 - (10*15) = 850 pts remaining 10 ships in circle generating 10 points every 7 seconds. Equals 1.43 points per second. Equals 85 points per minute. -> it takes 10 minutes til battle is lost once 10 warships (not traders!) reach the circle. I would not call this a "low risk task".
  7. Imagine scenario Nation X, clan A, gets a raider attack on their main crafting port Z and lose it Port turns neutral. Nation Y - at war with nation X - has alt accounts - clan B - ready in port Z to do hostility. Clan B captures port Z. Clan B does not put any other clan on Friendlist. That port is now unusable for nation X
  8. I didnt record ours at saint johns - but it was over pretty fast in a few min once the 1st rates got to the circles. Also in the british one they managed to get to 800 pts with only very few 1st rates getting there. Maybe @Anolytic can provide further info since they had more raids than us. But i looked at the points counter - i think 1 point per ship in circle every 2 sec id pretty accurate, and if it is, the calculation (see few posts above) is correct
  9. Even then, if 10 1st rates get in Circle its only 150 Points. But NPC get 1 point per ship in a circle every 2 seconds - 300 pts per Minute That means it will take 3 ish mins to get the remaining 850 points

  13. The issue is that the difficulty of those raids varies HEAVILY from port to port. For some ports the circles are beyond the defender's join zone. So no way you can prevent all ships from entering the circle. Saint Johns was not as bad, just a mix of everything - plus us thinking if we get to sink all the indiamans we're fine - clearly we were not - see the points calculation above

  15. we sank all 6 indiamans and some 1st rates before they entered the circle. Yet they still won within 10 min (after they reached the circles) by 1st rates entering circles. Because they also generate 1 point per ship in a circle every 2 seconds. That snowballs quickly. 10x 1st rate entering circle = 150 points - not much BUT Generating 10 points every 2 seconds. 300 points per minute. 850 points / 300 points per minute = 2 min 50 sec til battle is lost (upon them reaching the circle)
  16. Buyprices of tradegoods should be remarkably higher. While the Sellingprice increases by the same amount. Eg: Before: Trade good XY: Buyprice = 2'000, sellprice = 6'000 After: Trade good XY: Buyprice = 8'000, sellprice = 12'000 That way the profit stays the same - with much greater risk involved. At the moment you don't really care much about losing an indiaman or two with trade goods because it's easily replaced. With that change the thinking of players might adapt. Plus, if you capture an indiaman, you don't have to sail it across the map to get some money out of it. You can sell it where the ressources were bought aswell for some good $.
  17. Can't really go back now to 1 rep per battle with the new damage model. People tend to forget riccochéing used to be way more effective, plus broadsides took out less HP % in general. Now you can take out 1/3 of the structure in one rake

  19. i only sail a bunch of ships (surp, wasa, l'ocean, aggie, christian, herc, bellona), levelled them all in pvp - started with 0 slots on all
