  1. SO your taking away the politics and RP of the game from the players? Thought this was a sandbox we could do what ever we want. Hell Might as well go play NA:L if that is what you want for the OW too.... Some small nations and clans need to do do alliances to help each other out other wise the only ones that will all ways win are your mega clans/nations over and over and over.

  3. Not to call you a liar, but when I got on last night which was pretty late the guys going in was only in groups of 2-3 so a group of 7-8 guys is really hard to fight against. Specially when they are in mostly 4th and 3rd rates with a 1st rate (I did saw a 2nd rate come in with your fleet so you had one in group too, but that could of been another nation too since we can't see that stuff). Most of the folks I see going to these events are going in 5th and 4th rates, but mostly store bought 5th rates. The only time I see folks bring something that isn't a none permit ship is in the shallows cause even H Rattlers and Niagaras are fairly cheap to replace. The point is if you want fights maybe break the group up into smaller groups and not go in such a big group and don't bring anything above a 4th rate. It's about going in there and dishing out a lot of damage and prob sinking and getting right back in and doing it over and over. That is why it says to bring a ship you can loose. As for other PvP ya'll haven't been up the coast in a while by what I hear since I been in US for 3 weeks now. Though I could miss it if it's on a week day since I work nights (3rd shift). Ya'll do come out kinda late too even on week days. So most folks are in bed or heading that way and that is the reason your prob not seeing much action. I mean 11pm CST is pretty late for most normal folks that got to work in the morning.

  5. I don't think Tumbado's issue was location for the most part. First off it was a Sunday so not as many folks get on. The second I know a lot of folks wanted to go out there in US prime time but a certain nation had a group of pretty much all SOL's ganking anything that moved when most folks go into there just with frigates. You loose interest real fast when you see a team doing that. It was the same way with the old PvP cirlces. One team or the other would show up with large numbers and high tier ships only and every one else just stops showing up. You want more fights tone down your ship selection to frigates. Honestly think the events should be limited to ships below 3rd rate or even none SOL's. With that though I do think these ports need to be spawned with more frigates and light ships (for the shallow events) in ports around those areas. We where having fun but folks where running out of ships and cannons in that area along with repairs to jump right back into the fight. As for repairs in Shroud? That was folks making a profit on the events. I know folks that hauled repairs down just to make a buck in those ports. So if you want to make some profit than do the same.
  6. Yah we took the missions out side the shallows and it matched the ships that joined. Only 2 of us where in shallow ships.
  7. Actually the cap for both sides is 10 players, but yah it's 10 attackers vs 10/10 players/AI if maxed out. Though we flipped West End with two missions using a mix fleet of 6th rates to 2nd rates. So the bigger the ship the more agro you get it seems.

  9. The attackers lost the port battle any way so it's not like it's a big deal
  10. Well wouldn't this mean we get to fit the port battles over again early today and those that lost ships in the PvP event thing get all there stuff back too? It's like groundhog day all over again.

  12. With that did any one redeeambles or notes get the bonus stuff? I was saving some of them to redeem after this patch just be cause. Planing to sale most of it on the market anyway and make new version but would be nice to know if they will get the craft stuff RNG change too.

  15. Is this PvE Server cause they are allowed to take missions out of freetowns so that might be it.
  16. I was just thinking why don't they make it depend on the tax income like the upkeep is? The more the port makes the more it cost to have the timers set. So a cheap port would be 100K if it makes no money and an extra 100K for set timers. Than you have something like Cart that has to pay 600K to upkeep the maintance and port timer cuase it makes millions. I just don't see paying 600k for a small clan that just wants to have a port of there own in the middle of know where to call home. They won't get all that income that other ports will get so they will have to go without the window, and if they set up any econ they loose it all with some off hour flip.
  17. Ok we where just talking about this in TS and I think we where seeing it diffrent ways. By my understanding the only way to get VM is your Clan has to own a port. If you have 1-3 your get one, if you have 4-6 your get 3. Though this is only for the folks that have gone to port battles, any port battles and gain Lord Protectors status in there nation right or is this not clan based and just depends on how many ports you been to and are still keeped in your nation? So say my clan owns one port, but i have lord protector status in 10 ports I been in port battles and won. Would I get 1 VM or would I get 4? If my clan owns no ports at all than would i get zero VM's every week even though I have fought in 10 port battles that we won? This kinda needs to be made more clear.
  18. yes I know there are some folks with way to much money, but they aren't part of the other 99% of the game. Hell I hardly have 1-2 million on each of my accounts cause I just don't feel like grinding PvE or Make trade runs any more. That and the last move kinda burn a lot of stocked up gold. We want to just log on and have fun and maybe have a few ports here and there not make a job out of it. Honestly a convo we just had a bit ago today was something like this. So we flipped the port? You want it? Not realy? Why? Cause the 500K thing? Yah? Yah really don't want it either. I'm going to bet we will see a lot of no timer ports being flipped and keep open by folks with empty port battles so they can get there marks. Since they can't afford to set timers they will just do empty port battles on ports folks don't care about. Why fight over that expensive port over there to get marks wen we can just have a bunch of un important ports and get the same reward if not more. Oh we lost one or two this week not a bother. We will just flip them tonight in our time.
  19. And I get what they are trying to do but i just think they are going around it wrong by making every port timer cost the same. It's hard enough to get clans to share resources for most of them and it's going to be even harder to get folks to log in just to make 500K a day to keep a port safe in there timer. We are talking about one port not mulit. Folks will keep all econ and crafting in safe zone cause one missed payment it's all gone...boom start all over. It was all cool when I wasn't working and could spend all the time on line, but now that I"m back to working I hardly get on except on the weekends and most of the guys I play with are like this. We pop on to do a little fun here and there and than all get on fir bigger battles. now we have to get on, make enough to pay for one port or two each day and upkeep it. We aren't even talking about some big money making ports (my clan owns no ports at this time by the way). Now I honestly don't want a port cause I don't want to deal with the cost and upkeep and having to defend it.
  20. But @admin your thinking one port, now take a clan that has say 1-5 ports or say 25 ports? They won't be able to pay for that when you start addding a few more. What we are going to see is every one will have open windows set cause they can't afford it. The only ports that will have timers set is going to be the big money makers and that is it. Remember it's not even 500K cause you have to add the 100K+ for the daily maintance too which can go up as the port makes more money. I don't want to spend all day grinding to keep a port in a prime time for my clan to defend it if we don't make any money of the prot to pay the mainance or port timer. That and why are shallow ports the same price as deep water? There should be a step 100K for shallow, 250K for none important deep water and maybe 500K for all the big profit ports. I still think just limiting it to only 10 windows per clan is a better way to go about this. Casual players won't be able to hold a port and keep it in there time zones and big mega clans will just take them in there prime times and such. Your killing the small guys with this concept.
  21. Yah but when you use the spyglass you should be able to tell what the ship is and who it might be/name of ship. With this feature we can't even do that. So we might be working with a clan from one nation and fighting another clan of that nation but now we can't see which is which. @adminI'll be bluntly honest that if this feature remains I'll loose interest in OW hunting as I like to know who I'm fighting or not fighting before hand instead of hitting random players. I let low levels go some times and will run from a feared captain/fleet if I"m not a match for him. Now you just took all that options out of the game with this. Make it where you have to be in range and use the spyglass than you get the player names and ship info and I'll be happy, but with no means to get this until battle starts. Forget it....this will not encourage casuals and new players to fight.
  22. Can be abused I can just keep a low rank char and only hunt that area in safety if you do that. Believe me I killed a number of full rank chars with my low level alts in games before including this one. Maybe the ports price should scale depending on it's profits. Cart port is 500K a day but some random port that doesn't pay for it's upkeep should be 100K. That are just limit clans to only be able to set timers to up to 10 ports. 500K is going to kill the little clans that might just own one or two ports and make little profit from them. We shouldn't punish a small clan that holds one port in a timer that they can only defend in. That are make it step up according to the type of port. Cart and the Copper ports 500K. High income ports 250K all other ports 100K. Or like you said move more reseources out to these ports and have none in safe zones. But it also kills the small clans that can only defend in one time zones. How many ports does WO have? Are ya'll going to be paying 500K a day to keep them in your best time slot to defend? 500K a day adds up real fast even for one port.
