It's a world wide server. Got an issue with SEA/AUS prime time get more players of that to log on and player. How you think they feel when you hit them while they aren't online and none prime time. Remember ya'll started to attack them first. They are only attacking back cause of the attacks made upon them. Your nation opened that can of worms. I'll say the same thing I say to the PvP1 guys. If you can't keep it in one time zone, wait until ti cools off and than flip it back in your time zone. Than again the game will be playing cause it's about RvR and well having battles means your doing that. It gets stail when every one sits on there thumbs and don't attack any one. And I seen plenty enough US and Brits show up when Pirates attack ports. Maybe it's more that isn't a key port for ya'l and you only took it to take it from the pirates in an attempt to crush us. Wasn't a key region for us either. And of course at that time we had hard enough time fielding 5-10 players during and maybe 15 max for a port battle. Ya'll had no issue taking it than when ya'll where fielding 25+. And what about ya'll little alliance, Dutch had a bit of players on, so they couldn't come over and help the US/Brits that was on? There was over 60 players online at that time so there was folks on, but I bet they saw the numbers and instead of trying to fight back they just said screw it don't even try. -

Puerto Plata 4th Rate Deep water Port battle. 0 Brits vs 25 Danes/French/Swedes Pretty much a few Brits/US showed and I think one was tagged by the Pirates out side but he got away. They said they saw a few Brits peeking in and out of the port but none of them came out and joined the battle. Dutch had a battle with the Swedes right before and I heard it was like 1 Swedes vs 12-18 (no clear number) in that battle. So I guess the normal is going to be two flips a night and no one shows? Cause Pirates have to deal with two of them tonight. We will see who shows for which. -
Yah it cracks me up when we find them in 5th and 4th rates doing a 6th rate mission to counter grind and than they wonder why they can't beat us as we grind 1st/2nd rates in Curse level mission. The only thing big they got going for them and this goes for the other big nations is there numbers and they aren't using them. Even worse when you have all three large nations in one alliance and they still won't us those numbers.

We need to get with the Devs about getting a few actual folks that can set up Tournaments on PvP2. I still want to do the "Small Battle Gunboat Wars" Pretty much any ship with BR 50 or below (so cutters and such too). It would of been a good thing to do over the holidays during a cease fire like PvP1 did for Christmas. Could run it all day and since it is small battles the teams will be mixed up. You can do the same with the Green Connie Cup thing. Though I would say include every one so that we can have a big mix and well that would mean we won't be on one team. It might be a bit lopsided if you have a bunch of experience folks on one side and none on the other. I'm kinda with Koltes green ships would be painful but doing no real mods and gold ships means it's more about the skill of the player. I'm sure there is enough to record and steam something if we set something up. I been meaning to figure it out myself. Overwolf seems to hate recording this game and I haven't messed with many other stuff. I don't do the straeam thing so would have to be some one else. -

I'm the only one that can edit that page. Kinda stepped up to the plate as the PvP2 bookie for current affairs. So if you want to update clan info let me know. I'll be doing a weekly updates of the alliance system after each weeks votes. And remember folks like Norfolk said early lets keep this one clutter down to Clan Info, Politics, Port Battle results and such and keep the smack talking down. We can use the old one for that. Lets keep the players informed of what's going on in the game. Would be nice if we can find some one in US that will pick up things from there side. -

Important problems to be solved Pirates having there own game mechanics and sorry not just a nation that can't have alliance. I man an actual system different than the other nations like a privateer option for the guys that want to be involved in RvR and National Politics stuff and than the outlaws/Pirates. With this Pirate nation would be changed to Privateers instead. If you want the RvR stuff you get a contract and work for a nation. If your not into that or wanting to help a nation than you can be an outlaw. We have to many pirates that want to just play a national with a black flag. We got the national RvR system in place now and it just needs some tweeks. It's time that PIRATES GET SOME LOVE. Please see reputation and privateer/pirates mechanics below. Ways to gain hostility. Add raid system that is an instant way to get port battles and PvP for agro. Keep the hostility missions in game as one means to drive up agro along with PvP. raids can be a way to drive up agro to take a region or to just harass a nation. Port battles can only be flipped if your at war with said nations. Raids though can be against any nation your not in alliance with. I think trashing one whole system to try yet another isn't going to help or work. We just need to tweek the current system and make it not so much a PvE grind fest or war supple bombs. Make those two give really small amount of Agro to flip a region, but the raids gives large amounts and can be instant and countered. Port battle timers locks out most of US west coast players from being able to play and they put battles right as server comes back up and or during server down time for updates. This needs to be changed. It's been this way since Oct 25 when the patch came out and there has BEEN ZERO FEED BACK OTHER THAN DEVS STATING IT"S A NONE PROBLEM. Sorry a hotfix could of fixed this months ago to shift the window of when port battles can be created. Dump the stupid 46 hour weight and make it 48 hours from time you flip the port so you know exactly when to grind to get that time when the players are on a battle. Why would I stay up two hours later to get a port battle two hours early when many of us can't be on? Alliance system needs a check and balance so you don't have like we have on PvP2 where you have the three largest nations all in an alliance and no one is fighting each other other than Pirates and small nations they pick on. Brits and US have not had a port battle since Aug last year when the alliance sytem came out and they are the two largest nations. Something is wrong with that picture. Alliance and regions should be reset over a time to make the map new so it doesn't become stale. Say every 3 months. Features (additions or cutting) Add a reputation system so that it can replace smuggler flag for the traders to still trade with one nation even if they are at war with each other. For Privateers this system can be a way to leave a nation and become a privateer or even join a nation permanently. The more ships you sink of one nation the more your reputation with that nation is lost or gained for other nations at war with them. The more you help one nation out the more you get reputation for that one nation. POTBS had something like this but we can't prob make it more better here. Example I have a Dutch player and he's not really happy with his nation so he wants to leave. He attacks a few Dutch ships and instantly becomes an Outlaw (I think 5 npcs to keep from accidents and/or 1 player). Yes this will go back to allow folks to change nations in game. Well say he's not happy being an outlaw cause he's getting sunked very every time he steps out of a free port. He has all ways like the way the Spanish Monarch has fought and well they are at war with the Dutch. So he contacts them and gains a letter of marque to fight for Spain. He's not exactly trusted but hay Spain needs every ship they can to fight against the Dutch. While he works as a privateer he gains Spanish reputation. Once he reactions a level he has the option to gain full blown Spanish status. He can always go back to outlaw or privateer status by denouncing his nation, but I like the outlaw option only to leave a nation so it helps keep folks from just flipping nations all the time as they have to stay outlaw for a stet time and than privateer. Privateers can only join the port battles of the nations they are working for. They can't join any of the alliances attacks (unless there nation is at war with that nation too) or defense (since they are not working for that nation). A privateer can attack any one (just like outlaws/pirates who every one can attack also including other outlaws/pirates), but if it's the nation they work for it will make them instantly outlaw to break the contract. If it's a nation they are in alliance with it will do so too, but maybe with with a reputation hit and enough will force them to be outlawed. Remember many Pirates where actually Privateers for one nation or another. It wasn't until there was no war going on that many of them went full blown pirates. The reputation system would be an ingame way of letting folks know what players are the biggest movers and shakers in the game. Maybe give special persk when rep reach so high. Say I'm a US player known for killing Brits and Pirates only. The other nations respect me cause of that and a player might either want to kill me cause of my reputation or let me pass out of respect. Say I'm the top person in my nation at a certain reputation level. Well all those at that level get an extra vote for war/peace in the alliance system since we have so much influence from our actions and well time in game. Nothign game breaking. A trader on the other hand that is say US, but he doesn't sink any one other than Pirates. He has gained Rep with all the nations around cause of his great pirate hunting and they allow him to trade in there ports even though the US is at war with say Spain. Though still keep the smuggler flag restriction of only being able to use trader ships in these ports. Privateers and Pirates/Outlaws don't have ports/regions of there own other than say Kidds (capital with Pirate refit perk) and Mort. Mort should be turned into a neutral region for all and not capture able but be used like Pitt's use to be. This will turn Mort into a major trade hud but also a hot spot as any one can attack any one here. So if your going to use it, use at own risk. Mort can still have the green safe zone to keep from having ganks right out side the port, but the rest of the area is not under any alliance or nation faction. Those ports (Islet, Ocean Brit and Little Iguana) can be used by any one. This way even nations with one region can use it for crafting. The only way to use other regions as a Privateer is for working for that nation (you can't use there allaince regions ports). This will give Outlaw/Pirates a true hard mode as they only have Kidds for crafting and econ and can only use free ports. Though a raid system culd still be used for them but they can only raid ports not capture regions. And remember a privateer without a letter of marque is basically a Pirate/outlaw. Add ability to pick up repairs from sank enemies and loot. Sorry I'm sick of getting Platinum (my joke name for grey mods) after doing an epic/Curse/Lineship Port battles. Loot system trade at end of battle. Why can't I trade my loot at the end of a battle to others? This will allow us to bring other ships than the normal to fights and maybe have a dedicated loot ship. Right now shallow water port battles you can't take any loot if you win other than the chest for ships/paint cause they take up 100 cargo space and well if I get 100 Cedar logs that is way above my cargo cap. Loot needs to be able to be received no matter if you sanked or not. Right now if you sanked in port battle you can't get your wining loot cause you have no ship if you where in a 1 dura ship. You should be able to exit to port with this loot and than figure out how to get it home. If we want to bring one trader with us to fights than we can all trade that loot to the traders and he can be escorted back to safety with all the loot. (good way to add more PvP to the game). Make officers tied to ships not the player. So that your xp for the officer shows the Captain of that ship along with it's crew (I see us more as fleet commanders than the actual ship captains). If you trade the ship the officer perks for that ship resets. This allows us to have older ships that been through a lot and show that ships experience and crew from it. If you make a new ship it's like a green officer and crew. Crafting Officer can be set to each player home base. Let them pick one OP that is there home base and that is where any crafting perk will take effect So if you want to craft a better cheaper ship it can be down in your home base. As you get better and craft more you get more perks to make it cheaper to craft such ships. Or you can even just make this per outpost so you might have one out post that is experts in crafting light ships. While another is expert at doing line ships. While your oldest home base region/port you have had can maybe be good at crafting all ships cause they been doing it the longest. -

I been noticing this a lot lately. Me and JodaSet was fighting Minnow in Bahamas. He was in an Endymion, Joba H Rattler and I was in a Niagra. We got his sails down to 50% and just stop taking damage which I assume cause my pen on 9 lbrs longs couldn't pen his mast even though I had well over 3K damage to his sails. So we worked on him until we have blown out both bow/stern and got his side armor down to zero. We where prettty messed up (me my armor joba his crew) and wasn't going to move in for a board (I was board fit but one more good hit would sink me). So we where sitting there waiting on him to sink. One last stern rake lit him on fire, so we are thinking he will just sink before this becomes anything to worry but we start to back from him. Than 'BOOM" He blows up with no fire shock at all. I know he was low on crew so that prob could of been a reason to blow, but with no fireshock and it was so fast. Most ships would of sunk before the fire spread and go to the mag. The results was that all Joba crew was killed with no damage to his ship. My mast was blown off and I was sunk. Minnow still had crew left which was a surprise to both us and was alive. He won the fight cause of this. I'm pretty sure he didn't have a fire ship fitting cause he would of been on fire way before that with all the stern rakes. Another fight in PvE even in the Bahamas. We where matched up 7 Pirates vs 9 US players. Being the better skilled players we where ok with these odds. We get to fighting and after much good actions my ship starts to take on water and I pull off to try to save it but was to far gone with the last broad side to my empty armor on port side. We had this in the book as we had all ready sanked 3 of the US players so it was down to 6 vs 6 and we had one guy about to capture a 4th ships so they would be down one and the others where pretty close to sinking. Than BOOM. One of the US players blows up and it kills 9 players. All those listed as captured where killed by his explosion. Most of them where just crew kills even with good health to the ships left (folks tend to grape more than shoot ball in shallows). The last two US where close to sinking, but cause of this and the fact Latron was low on crew from the blast we had him retreat and end the fight. Something is wrong when a ship can instant explode and take out 9 players. This was prob the last big fight we brought numbers to shallow PvP event cause we decided if the US can only win by playing dirty than we won't go. Mainly cause they can only fight pirates cause of the US/Brit/Dutch alliances they can't fight any one else in the PvP events. We get it is a usable tatics, but it seems now when they can't beat us with shear numbers they just bring fire ships and blowing up. And yes one of the main reasons we won Savanana port battles was cause we fireshiped the US with one ship. Making the 25 (US) vs 20 (started 16) Pirates more on equal terms as we where able to board and take out 5 players on the US side right from the start and I think that just put them into shock mode and they crumbled from there. They do have there uses and I think are handy when you don't have the numbers or in some types of fights. Don't get me wrong. Just think a lot of ships that aren't firefitted seems to be blowing up a lot lately and real fast. Than you got me every time I use one I never get the fire to blow when I need to and end up doing more harm to my team mates than the other team or I just take myself out of the fight lol -
I remember when we beat Forteleza de Luz the devs sent a team of a few guys in with us to see how we beat it. No one else was getting even close. We beat it the same way we (Spain on Roberts) beat Brits out number in port battles. Take it to fort and avcom. It was a crappy system but still fun, but if you do all the missions and get all the special stuff you can slaughter another player in avcom even if they out ranked you. Speaking of that any old Roberts Spanish players? I started on the AUS server cause of working night shift, but we moved to Roberts when it merged. Was Assassin de Cortez or soemthign and than we changed it toe Dead In the Red. Cause we hunted the red zones like crazy. I logged in the other day and noticed i had tons of obsolete ships. I played as Nazzareth Dakkar (naval officer), Kaishia Dakkar (trader) and Girvan Dakkar my main Privateer. I had 5 accounts so i had a bunch of other chars too, but all was for econ. I did play Girvan on tiggy as pirate.

How about fix port timers so more US players can support and defend from these so called night flips? That and needs an option for we play on PvP2 suckers....than again we hate the stupid US/GB/DUTCH super alliance of carebears and three largest nations. But since I didn't check "NO" I didn't need to vote that part. Though I think the port timers restriction does need to be changed for both servers. -

I have mention nothing of a complete wiped. My version said nothing. If some one else said we should than that is there opinion. All I been saying is that there should a regional. You know when they reset so you can move your stuff or wait until you capture the port back if you have stuff in it. -

Pounce 4th Rate Deep Water Port Battle - 17 Danes/French/Swede vs 25 Brit/US with something like 20+ out side (can't confirm this as I wasn't out side). Danes put up a good fight but once again numbers tends to win the Cap out as the battle was over with Brits controlling all three zones with 1K points. -

It wouldn't be cross platform so that PC and Consoles players play on the same servers. It would be two seperate games. Very few games have every been able to do true cross platform. Though a few might be coming out soon. The biggest problem I have is small dev team and they tend to dumb down games for Consoles so that it suffers on the PC side. Though I still love the fact i can play my PC game at high settings and still get better performance than any consoles for a long time. -

They speak about doing a Admiralty Office. Some of the rewards you can get can be boguht here. Say winners that have the most regions get 3 credits. Every one else gets 2 credits unless they are brought down to one region they get 1. These nations that are brough down to one region also get an XP/Credit boost the next season. I think for this to work some of the nations need to have more than one region. I know historically some didn't, but lets be honest Spain has way to many for the game and this is a game after all. A few zones can be shifted around to give the nations with one region more than one. Maybe lock out the winning nation from folks making chars in that nation for that season. Make the points worth something where you can turn in one for something like a cheap mod or paint, while you can turn in say 10 for a BP of a ship you can't normally get throuigh the crafting tree. Maybe do something like the gunboat is 1 but the l'ocean BP is 10. Maybe scaled a bit diffrent were you can get the BP after a few seasons. These points can not be shared between players. So some one that jumps ship to the wining team will get past ones wiped. -

Who said your stuff has to be deleted this is only a region reset to keep things from getting into a stalemate. If you want to get your stuff capture that region back or better yet keep your stuff in a free port when it resets. This will get more folks on the OW too as you have to move your stockpile around and can't keep it all in one place unless it's a region your nation starts with. Again why would they need to wipe every thing, we are only talking about the RvR part of the game and having a cool down where no one has an allaince. Now I can see doing a yearly one, but than some games folks pride the special stuff they have or that is out dated. I have a bunch of ships on POTB the other day when I logged on that I"m sure many folks don't have or can get any more unless it's a ship one of us old timers still had. Yah logged into that silly game last week to checked. Can't remember my other accounts log in or I would check them, but did check my main. Though the redeemable part might work things out for those that are vets and have special things like the yacht and what ever they give EA players for there time. It needs to be something like 2 1/2 prob to make it random and not all ways set the same. POTB had the same thing where you get to a certain point/percentage of the map won and it would reset. I mean just go look at PvP2 US and how many regions they own and than you take in the fact they are in an Alliance with Brits and Dutch. The two largest nations Brits and US have not had a port battle since Aug last year when they put the alliance system into effect. That is what almost 6 months they have never fought each other cause they can just stay in an alliance and share each other ports. When they reset the regions they should of reset the alliance too. It was a nice change to let every one start over, but the largest pop nations once again too over most of the map and did nothing but picked on the small pop nations. When they do the reset they should allow you to change nations too. Maybe do it like POTBS did and you keep all your stuff on that char while you play another nation. Than when you switch back you get to use what you had before you picked a new nation at a reset. This will help balance out the nations. -
Well I found out you have 9. something mb of space to do picture uploads. Than it max's out and that is what happend to me. I guess I'll just have to use an image loader site instead of loading them directly to the furoms. Now is there a way to delet those old post/pictures? Prob have to go back and pull them out of each thread.

Hint the reason I don't want a dang leader board. Than folks might find out I actually suck at this game. I have all ways said I'm about average (well maybe slightly above). I know I suck when it's 1 vs 1 for the most part, but I tend to work best in a group to feed off each other strength and weakness. I missed the Savanna port battle cause I needed some sleep, but I'll have to check out the log thing next time I'm in a fight. I hate that it's gone after the fight so you can't really go back and look at things like that. I will admit I like to capture folks ships to see what they make them out of and the basic set up not counting any mods they might have put on them.

Did they lower this or is there something where after a while you or a thread begins to make it smaller. I use to be able to just upload my screen shots of port battle info but now I have to resize them. If there is a limit as me as a player than is there an option to remove something or change that? Like right now I read it allows me to only post .05MB size files.

Good info, see even us old dogs can learn new things. One thing you will find us Pirates are actually willing to help new players even if we are sinking them while doing so. Cause in our book if we help you and you get better, that means we get better PvP later when you get more experienced. I'll have to check out that guide now. I been slacking on steam cause it tends to have little info on it that is up to date, but the reviews on it have been helpful. Like the gun one made that is a little out dated. Guys couldn't understand why I run say 24 meds and 18 longs on my 4th rates. It cause they have the same reload, lower crew on the mediums, and close to the same pin and meds do more damage so if you brawl up close that is going to put me with more DPS over some one doing all longs on the same Aggy (said connie before but I run the 24/42's with the connie). Y Plus the less crew on the guns means I can manage my sails and guns more, which is very important with crew lost. On other ships I run smaller guns if I'm board fit for the same reason. I make my ships so they aren't combat ineffective even if board fit.

Savanna Line Ship Deep Water port battle United States defending against Pirates 25 US/Brits/Dutch (one dutch and I Brit I think) with screeners out side vs 20 Pirates no screeners I kinda missed the battle cause of lack of sleep, but heard there was firebombs at the start and than a bunch of captured and brawling. If some one that was in the battle want to add to the info of what happen feel free to do so. Keep battle reports to facts when you make them. They should include numbers as close as you can. Leave the smack talking to individual post though. -
Sounds about how BLACK does it too. We have folks think it's a bit confusing, but we are so use to that style of a fight. Oh every one I'm having picture limit size and well this thread is so out dated so I"m starting a new one. I'll start with a post for savanaa port battle but can use the info to update the first page.
