I would assume when you loose the ship it's all gone. I would the xp should be gone if you trade or sale a ship though this might be a way for folks to make money in game too. I can sale a very experienced ship to some casual player that I put a lot of hours on and they will get a well rounded crew, but I would hope in all honesty that a ship looses all xp when traded or sold. Since you think the officers and crew wouldn't go with that ship if you where to trade or sale it. Though that brings to one of the big issues I see with this. Letting folks borrow ships for a fight. If the xp stays with the ship no matter who owns it wouldn't be a problem, but if it resets every time it changes owners that would be a pain. I'm kind mixed on this, but I think if they do it we should test it out and see how it works. Though I don't think we will be seeing these changes any time soon.

I like it cause I don't like maxing out my army all ready. So I can run smaller corps of guys that aren't maxed out size units. Yes some times one might want the max of every thing, but I'm one of those players that like to tweek things a bit to try them different ways. This way I don't have to burn all my men and money up trying to max out my units. I can have a nice bit of reserves encase RNG hates me like the first two matches I did this eve. I'll come back later today after I have slept and try one of the sides again.

Over the last month or so we keep hearing the nationals saying we must be dupping this and that on Pirates PvP2. We just learned tonight what this exploit was by one of our players that explained it all to us. Well makes us wonder how many of those nationals that suppose knew about this enough to blame us for using exploits know about it and if they where actually using it themselves. We don't have to exploit cause most of us are level 50 crafters in my clan and just about every one us have captured several first rates so we have so many ships we are running out of dock space. Never even thought about the exploits. Well now we know what the hell they been talking about. Instead we are very happy to let the devs look over our chars as we have nothing to hide. We reason we beat the Nations on PVP2 is purely skill and the fact we are so well organized in our clan. They just can't get it in there head how 15-20 players can beat some of the largest nations and clans on the server. Well get organized folks and you will understand. Glad some one pushed the devs to fix this with a quick hotfix, but would be nice if they fix some other exploits and problems with hotfix's faster too. Some times it takes drastic measure to get them to do things it seem.s So now I know what the hell dupping accusations have been about I'll wait for the nationals to accuse me of some other hacking thing cause they keep getting there arse handled to them. -
Uh did easy mode get harder or something? I just did both starting mission on easy mode with the new size option and I was slaughter to the almost the last man and failed. Those that wasn't slaughter where routed and broke up even if I had good cover, fortification or almost twice the numbers. I'm sorry if this is easy mode I don't want to see hard mode. I didn't have this much trouble on the first mission on normal when I played it a a month or so ago. Last I checked easy mode should be basically that easy and not to mention the first missions is for some one that never played before to learn it not be slaughter and the game over (should have option if you loose to move on). And like I said I have beat both sides all ready up to the current last battle so it's not that this is a new thing to me. Just seems all my mean keep just up and running if some one breath their way and as soon as there officer was killed. My union first missions pretty much every officer was killed by time I got to the defend the town part. I mean could be just bad luck with RNG, but to have both start missions for both sides end like this on EASY MODE?

And gold ships are always going to be better than a green store bought ship. They are made for the casual player to fight AI, not to fight other players. You want to do well in PvP you need the better ships. If you want to do ok in PvE you use green ships. No one is stopping the causal players from doing this.

Shouldn't you be over on PvE? Oh I mean PvP1? Sounds like the care bears just won't fight and going to to run off to another server. Like that will get anything solved. Maybe help out the small clans to be exact. Try to take some o of timers that don't want to change things. Bye Felicia... Sounds like ya'll both are good at running away from fights. I'm sure ya'll do just fine over there on PvP1...lol I mean Davos how many nations/servers you going to jump to because you can't have your peaceful little care bear play? I'll take it we won't see either of you at the port battle Sat. Well not the DUTCH one than. I'm sure you will be over at the SWEDE one...? -
I'm fine with signaling being the way it is, it's the 5 min window that needs changed. It was only 30 mins before the patch. When the patch came out it was only open for 15 mins which I thought was a pretty decent number as 30 mins was kinda to long. Though some how and we didn't even see this in a patch notes cause I'll be honest I'm a dang forum whore and I'm on all the time. We keep wondering why we couldn't find these missions any more (when US was trying to flip Kidds on PvP2) so I did some searching and found they dropped it from 15 to 5 mins. They went way to extreme with this one in my book. They should make it around 10 mins to test cause 5 mins is way to short. Though we can kill a fleet in 15 mins so if your taking longer than that and some one join your prob not doing to well in the first place. Now the other thing I like they changed was the tags circle was way to long of a count down. For how small that circle 20 secs was way to long. If I'm close enough to tag you we should be in battle. I give the fact that some time needs to maybe escape and glad they dropped it, but I think it should been 10 secs not 15 secs, but lets test this out for a bit before it gets moved. Again they went in favor of the PvE guys with the 15 secs and not the 10 most wanted. I'm sorry if we are that close you r not getting away. All you can do is screw up the tag and wind for folks which you shouldn't be able to control if your being tagged. It should be tagged and into fight over with with how small the tag circle is. Hopefully the 15 secs will work out better than the 20 and maybe even get them to drop it down to 10 secs, but I highly dought they will do that. PvErs will cry to much.,

PIRATES DON"T HAVE ALLIANCES. See above. Just cause we have a verbal one isn't the same. We can't join there port battles and they can't join ours or our OW battles. All we have is a truce to not fight each other. No one is saying US/Brits have to go to war, we are just saying give guys the option to fight some one other than pirates. Cause apparently we are so OP they have to hide from us. -

Cause YOU CAN"T GET IT IN YOUR HEAD. We won't pick on small nations. With the alliance YOU ARE NOT A SMALL NATION. You are the three largest nations in one alliance where US/Brits should be holding their own without each other. It's not our fault ya'll bicker so much and can't get your act together. If you don't want to loose your Silver/Gold than get off your ARSE AND FIGHT. It seems ya'lls solution and y'all have admitted to this is if we ignore the pirates they go away. Well that isn't going to work. Hell if your going to ignore us than we are going to take those ports you don't deserve since your not going to fight for them. Than we will give them to the small nations that do currently deserve them. If you spent enough time as you do on this forum than you would actual get things down in game. So why aren't you out there counter grinding those ports right now? Oh cause yoru not going to fight the pirates, but instead your over there flipping a swede port when you know they can't field the numbers. Yah you go there US/BRIT/DUTCH. I bet you I know what port battle ya'll are going to show up to...lol As for the Spain we are helping them, but in the future if they get big enough we will fight them. Until than we plan to help them grow. We prob going to start taking ports and giving them to them. Cause apparently no one else wants to help them grow. Though I do think in the future we will fight on the OW and hell prob going to do that any way when we cross paths. We have no agreement with Spain other than we will help them get ports and grow. Even that isn't even a formal thing. What I love is folks just don't understand how hard mode pirates are. 1) We don't have alliances like every one else. 2) We can't have other folks join our port battle or join theirs. 3) While we can join nations battles if they are open (signal flag and Shallow ROE) but they can not join ours. All the while it's only 15-20 players beating the crap out of the three largest nations (and yes I'm going to count DUTCH as top three cause they still have more than French and Spain). So if ya'll are going to be a bunch of care bear cry babies when ya'll can field over 40+ players (little harbor last weekend) and I know 50+ (Last Kidds PB) in one night than ya'll aren't hurting. Ya'll just need to get organized and your crap straight. Prime example of this was the port battle the other night. Ya'll had over 25+ players cause you had guys out side screening. We had 13 and than 19 by time the tagged guys got caught escaped and joined. You got your arse kicked by players that was totally out number. The reason is prob cause ya'll can't get along with each other and you don't fight. The guys that do good are the guys that have been out fighting us. I bet they got blamed for the failure at a port battle ya'll had superior numbers. Just like Wilmington we where out number, just like Savanna we where out number. The issue is you guys hide and not fight so you can't win easily against a team that fights every night and fights hard unless you get out and fight yourselves. I'll give you some advise vvD.....go play on PvE cause basically that is the type of game you want. If you don't want to loose ports/regions than FIGHT. Stop complaining about us doing what the game is about. -

You have to understand and that would mean you need to come out of you port and fight and play to know this, that there are clans like when I was UNKN that stayed in the shallwos so most of there players are rank 5 or above that we find in these waters. I wouldn't go as high as 95%, but for sure the majority of these guys aren't noobs. I mean they bring out Connie, surprises and Endy to fight us in the shallows and we still sink those (cause lovely BR limit means they can't get back up, but we can). Why would we go to war with a nation that has had our backs for over 9 months and we have had there backs but every large nation has attacked us. To be honest the Danes are just a little larger than the Dutch and pirates on active players, but they are only active in the SEA/AU times with those numbers. We aren't so it would be the same as any one else 5-15 vs 20 or 20 vs 5-15 in certain time zones. Why not ya'll get off your arse and get your alliance players to show up in there off times unless your saying all your SEA/AU players in US/BRIT/DUTCH are a bunch of care bears? You just can't get it in your head that like the Danes your only fighting about 15-20 guys with a few to fill in. While US/BRIT/DUTCH could field prob three port battles if they stop the fighting and bickering between all there clans and just get off there arse in prime time. I bet they can field one full team and some extras in SEA/AU prime time too. Instead of encouraging folks to fight back you tell them to hide and stay out of fights. Than the guys that do fight and counter grind you tell them to stay out and let the big boys fight. This makes since for 1st rates, but you don't even bring 1st rates to those fights. I think if I was one of the small clans I'll tell you guys to shove it if I been grinding and counter grinding and join those battles any way. The older clans of US/Brits are what hurting them. CKA, NPG, and IGG. I have no beef with the Dutch and undrstand they are small, but ya'll did declare war with us and your part of that allaince (well not with US currently) if your allaince is so good and important they would be over here in numbers helping ya'll. I like surprises, well not the prison sex types, that never fun I hear (never been to prison). I'll be honest I don't see ELITE as a bunch of carebears as ya'll fight back. We been noticing a great inprovment in the guys that we been fighting on the east coast, shallows and other places. So like I said you want to get better you need to fight and not just AI. -
Why should I not have the better ship and crew for my time in game with that ship and crew than some joe blow that just bought a ship and come out green as hell? I been saying the officer system should be based on the ship and crew experience with hat player. You trade the ship it starts new with green officer and crew. Say I have one ship that I have had since the start over a year ago (I do still have my first exceptional ship a Trader Brig). Why should that ship not have a reputation and skills over a new ship. It still has all 5 dura and it's been in many a fights back in the old days I ran a lot of in the shallows. It's made to run and escape. I see a system that rewards a longer running ship should give it special reputation to and maybe give more rewards for when you do sink it. Say I have a Niagara in the shallows (my alt has one) that is known for it's trade hunting. It's killed many a H Rattlers too. I demast them and than board them when it's a solo fight cause it's a very light fast ship. The thing is it should have a reputation and the more I kill folks the better that crew should be and the reputation. So when I finally do get sunk it should reward the players too. Like a bonus xp/credits (can say my bounty) for ships that have more experience than some green ship. I'm sorry you want to get better than you need to play more. We don't have a true level system as you can get into any ships you want even if you don't have the crews (limit though for a few ships).

haven't played in a while cause some of the bugs. This might get me to make some new runs. I'm more the casual player so I like these fix's.

1. I have brought up that while your in an alliance you can only use the ports to gather resources. You can't build ships in those regions. So this will make it so you have to help the little nation get there own regions while they can get resources from the bigger nation helping them. This will also give certain regions more importance to be owned by other nations than just one that every one shares. 2. They need an end game to be honest cause if no one makes a move to fight they can make the game very stalemate. The regions and alliances really should reset every 3 months. You keep all your stuff, but if you have a port in an enemy zone you have to recapture it back after the reset and you have to make those alliances back. I'm going to bet you will see more changes instead of the same old alliances over and over this way. Though I think they need to balance out the regions a bit more so some nations don't just have capital to start with. Only nation that should be like this is Pirates (yes I'm a pirate), but that would mean they need some real raid mechanics and not the crap we are getting so far for pirates. Give us kids and a few scattered Pirate ports around the map for econ reasons and than the use of free ports and let us get our ports (not regions ) by doing raids. Not just be another nation with a bunch of limits (like no alliances or help in PB or battles). Also would be nice if there was some tax for a region, you don't get enough upkeep/tax's and such the region can fall into chaos and become neutral for other nations to capture. This will make it so nations that grow to big and can't support all there regions can loose them and they can be snatched up easily by smaller nations. 3. Incentives to join smaller population nations. Give the small pop nations a xp/credit boost and maybe the high pop nations get a nagitive since they are so over populated. Allow pirates to be like Privateers (none outlaws) and fill in small nations Port Battles and fights. We can join other nations fights in OW right now, but we can't join the port battles. Let us be able to fill them if they aren't filled after the first 5 mins. Since there is all ready a 2 min limit for those without agro, make it so pirates can join after 5 mins on any empty side. So say you have a US vs Brit fight and there is 20 US and 21 Brits but we have 10 pirates on the out side screening and being a pain in the butt. Well 9 of those can pick a side and join. Hell make it a 10 min limit before we can join. I realy don't mind the two alliance system, but there needs to be a longer cool down. Say every 3 weeks of alliance you have 2 weeks of cool down your neutral before you can be in an alliance again. With that make it so you can not put agro on a region to flip it (you can still grind agro) unless you are at war with that nation. If you do put agro on a nation that your neutral with and you hit 100% you go to war with that nation for one week. Than you can vote to keep that war or they go back to neutral.

Speaking of L'Oceans last night SkyHG put out a bounty for 5 IGG players killed by any one with them in a 5th rate or above or trader he will give them a L'Ocean he has. Sounds like some fun going on, told him he should post it here and add to the side prices. So hunters there you go a free l'ocean for 5 IGG kills, but you got to get them out of ports first it seems lol -

I say it over and over. You want to get better, you need to fight and not fight folks weaker than you. I admit I suck pretty much at 1 vs 1 but I work better as a group. Shallows have helped me get better with the 1 vs 1 when I have them. The thing that sucks in the past most of my 1 vs something was not even fights. I been jumped so many times by 5+ players and add in they all have AI it gets old, but every one goes through it and the cool think about the Rookie area is that it limits the BR and keeps the AI out of it. AI is a big crutch many old time players still use and wonder why they keep loosing fights out number. Cause we know they are a crutch and use them against you. As for the PvP most of us get tons of it mainly in the shallows. It's the guys that refuse to go into the shallows that are the ones that get bored. That and hate to say it your never going to get all the guys on the same page. It actually makes the old time clans look bad when they never come out to fight except for Port Battles and it's only the new guys that come out to counter grind and fight us. Those are the guys that are learning and getting better. While the old timers are still pretty much sucking the same as they did 6 months ago. -

This would be abused to much. I'm sorry we all ready have a problem with old time players that don't even come out of the ports voting to keep alliances that others don't want. We see folks that never come out in the OW and bully folks to not enter Port Battles that had been fighting there hearts out in the OW. Which in my book they should just join any way if they have the agro. So lets take a look at this concept. I'm in the Pirate nation on PvP2. If we go by the most active I'm prob up there in the top 10 for my nation if not the server. I have almost 4K hours on my main and over 2K on my second pirate. While my Dane is just a baby with 500 hours. Though I'm prob the most active Dane that isn't in the CN/CCCP (SEA players) clan. So what makes some one with 3K hours more important than a very active player with 500 hours in game. I could stop playing for months and still have more hours in game on my main than most will ever have. While I do come up with things for the game as a whole trying to make it better for all nations, I would admit there would be some folks in the nations I would be more partial too. Specially if every one in the Pirates Council was all one clan "BLACK" we would control the nation and it's politics even more than we all ready do. Than add in the coming Black on Black (I don't like using Green ON Green for the new pirates attack each other mechanics). Than we not only get full control of the Council cause of our numbers and activity of the nations most active players, we can also pretty much kill any one that doesn't see our views. Now lets look at my baby Dane that is only a few months old. I use him more as a middle man between two nations and he also is a diplomat for the French/Swedes. He's very active, so he would prob have more a spot than some one that is active but does nothing, but how will the system know the differences from me or the guy that does nothing but trade and just on every day? Some one will have to vote as to who be the members or not. So it will have to be publicly some how. -
I hate to say this I'm actually agreeing with something Taurus has posted. Though a little correction 1&2) It's actually only 17 hours to do port battles. You can scheduled the last one at 8pm CST (using my time zone cause it's easier for me but that is 2am UTC) and can have the first one after maintenance at 3am CST (9am UTC). The other problem is updates run from 2am to 4am though normally server is back up 1.5 hours not 2, but that means a late time port battle after maintenance will all ready started and will be a good 20-30 mins all ready into it by time any one logs in. We found this out when the land in port battle came out as we had Cap Fran port battle and it was all ready 20-30 mins into the PB before any one was able to log in. The new attackers can't join for 30 mins will mean that these port battles can't be joined for 30 mins or you have to sale from a port when the server goes up. PB should never be able to be scheduled during maintenance/update times. The 8pm CST locks out most of the US Prime time players from doing port battles and this been broken since OCT last year and still has yet to be fixed. 3) Missions are about PvP hostility grinding and we can't even do that cause they are no longer open for 15 mins but close 5 mins after start. So by time you find one and try to join it it's closed. This was made cause I assumed PvErs complained. Why is every thing made to make it easier for the PvErs on a PvP server? Stop making things easy for them. If they don't want PvP or RvR than they can go to the PvE server.

I thought that was what made the PvE and PvP servers different. Though lately I been feeling like we are actually on PvE2 not PvP2 cause of folks that like. Really if you don't want war, RvR and conflict go play on the PvE server folks.

The funny thing you think the PvP2 with it's smaller pop would be the one that complains the most about night flips. No it's the EU server with the largest population and mixture of folks from all over the world. If ping doesn't matter than why don't ya'll come to PvP2. The problem is the location of the servers physically. What they need to do and this includes PvE server too. Is find a location that has the best over all ping for the EU/US/SEA/AU players and have a server there. Right not Germany is not the best location for that as it pretty much kills many of the SEA/AU and even US players that are on the West Coast. I'm sorry I'm not going to settle for 130-160 ping over my current 40-60 cause you want to keep your 20 ping. It needs to be moved to a better location globally and than merge all three servers into one. Than folks can stop bitching. Once the population gets bigger than they can bring out more than one server like they have in the past. Though to rightfully do this they need to wipe every one and let us start a new since folks on both servers have way to crap they are tied to. This will allow them to bring in the new ship mechanics, get people on a fair playing ground for econ and last allow folks to roll new nations since they are no longer tied to the the one they have been in. This should allow a better server balance as a whole. Even if this means we get all our stuff as a redeemable, but we need to be able to let every one start over with no alliances and getting to pick new nations. We aren't dead yet, but notice lately our numbers been going up cause we are doing things to perk up the server life, while ya'll numbers are going down. EIther way they need to fix the port battle lock out times so that US players can play them in there prime times. This would be better for both servers. If ya'll stop chasing off the other nations players that aren't EU you will prob get more players too. From my times over on PvP1 I have found many of the none US/English speaking nations are very rude to any one that isn't EU. This is why you can't fill these port battle slots. My mind set of night flips. When there is a war, pick any that your nation has been in over the past several hundred years. Did we all stop and say, "Hay don't attack us on this day or night. Cause we have to be at work and can't fight back?" No they attacked when it was best for that nation to do the most damage in the fight. Many small countries did a lot of damage to large ones cause they didn't follow the same rules as others. When we do modern warfare do we not do night raids/strikes? What happens if you attack a fort before new troops get there? You don't know when some one is going to attack, the only thing you can do is counter attack later. So loose the region and than gain it back. That is war. That is how it happens in real life. If any of ya'll are combat veterans you would know this. They don't wait until every one is ready and free to attack each other. You do it when you can. You do know what surprise attacks are right? Exactly.....so stop your bitching and when you get the port off cool down attack back.

Nuevitas 4th rate battle: 19 Pirates vs 25 US/BRITS We had several guys tagged and coming in late so it wasn't even a full 19 at the start. At start it was actually 13 vs 25. US/BRITS did a great line at the start and we had bad wind. Kinda a repeat of when we took this port. The difference than changed. It become a big brawl as normal in these fights. A/B exchanged hands a few times, but the honest truth as the screen shows is the kills won this one. 3 lost on pirates side and 19 lost on the US/BRITS -

Which is fine, but the problem is the US/BRIts jumping in and filling the rest of those numbers so it isn't a close number. So it's not just pirates fault and up until last week we had no involvement inside the port battles as pirates can't join in other nations port battles. Oh and have ya'll seen me in certain areas or in SOL's other than port battles? There are some things I won't get involved with cause I don't agree with them. I have other games to play if I need to keep entertained every night. To be honest I kinda wish they do another wipe soon while we have a better population compared to what we had months ago to have alliances sorted out better and such. -

Can't find a screen of Caracas so not sure what your talking about alts/potential alts your talking about. Do you by chance have this? I do know OCEAN's stance is only to defend FRENCH/DANE ports during the off hours (US prime times) that they Danes can't come in there large numbers. It's a way we are trying to keep the PvP going and have fun since every one is ignoring the pirates when we scheduled fights there for a while. I think the win on Little Harbor helped get folks back into the fights on the US/BRIT side. Which I was expecting us to loose that one and wanted to do a trial shallow water fight cause many of us haven't fought shallows in so long. That and a few players almost refuse to play in small ships. There lost but they better not complain when there is no fights cause all they want to play is SOL's. Which to me means they should be a national not a pirate. I think part of the problem is the IGNORE PIRATES that causing it too. We would love to keep things PvP and open world, but when folks flat out hide and ignore us we have to hit ports and regions that are major econ hubs to get folks to come out and fight. I agree that no one nation should be brought down to one region or even below three. To me it should be 5 unless they are being the aggressor. This could still be abused cause you can have the one region nation do all the attacking and all the alliances nations join for the fights. Even worse is the folks ignoring us are attacking Dane/French/Swedes instead of fighting us back. So what we do is hit them where the alliance hurts. If your nation doesn't want to get hurt than don't support such tactics. -
Add BR-Limit to battles in PvP event zone

For the PVP Events I all ways thought it should be broken up like port battles. One zone is for shallows and the other should be 4th rates and below. Keep the SOL's to SOL port battles and big fleet grindings. That would give the smaller guys more chance to fight on equal terms if every one was in frigates and below.
