You pulled a flag that cost you any where from 150K to 600K and you had two hours to plant that flag. If you plant it there was a port battle. It didn't matter who or what nation it was. Though there was a cool down before you can buy another, but you can have 5 other folks pull 5 other flags. So basically every one was just enemies of each other.

To much chance for abuse, hell even Pirates vs Pirate will prob be complained about since we can tag each other to get out of fights. One thing I didn't get to test was if two pirates tag each other and it's an open FFA can other nations join them? Need to get a few guys on test to test a few things like this.

On my main pirate I been sitting at 1 life for like over a month now. I prob shouldn't of been messing around in gunboats so much a while back...lol Though I have so much xp saved from ships I crafted he would be instantly level 10 with one redeemable. I was kinda wondering what this xp was going to go to after the patch as you won't need it as there won't be the same officers system as we have now. Though I agree with you lets burn this place down until the patch comes out and have fun. I mean other than the ships I plan to break down it's not like we are going to be able to keep all this stuff. I all ready been moving my stuff around to make it easier to organize and if they do a merge where I get it all as redeemable from both servers even better. If they do a full wipe than hell I had fun fighting most of those ships away and will be right out there capturing ships until I can craft something new. It's part of the fun, part of the testing and what we are suppose to be here for.-

I get a feeling when the merger happens there will be a bit of butting heads in every nation. Hell if pirates have the Pirate vs Pirate we might be to busy having clan wars against other EU pirates lol You never know, but yah lets save the pissing contest for when the merger happens and we get the lines drawn out. I got a feeling that first month is going to be a hot mess as every one gets us to working with each other and against new enemies. Maybe some folks will be facing each other for the first time when they use to fight side by side. Maybe some of the old enemies will now be at your side fighting along with you.

They posted they where going to give us an update, but I think the backlash from them saying the alliances will be turned off made them not post anything. Other wise I have no clue what SOON is any more cause it's not the soon I know of. -
If the server has the numbers which I will assume with the Global this shouldn't be a problem for most times I'm all for these things. Specially the fact instead of adding 10 mins to Port Battles before points start they should just make the whole battle 2 hour long. Along with fix the PB lock out timers to have the last port battle be scheduled 2 hours before server down time and can't be scheduled for two hours after so that there is only a 4 hour window they can't be made in cause of maintenance/updates and I'll be happy.

Wilmington 4th Rate Port battle: 25 US/Brit/Dutch (only cause he was screening) vs 25 Pirates Good fight as we did the push from C to B, Let US push through to take C while we took A. Than we returned and took both circles back along with the sink and captures 1000 points hit and won by Pirates. Pirates had one fireship used at the start and it seems the US had a few of them, but I think it was more ships that caught on fire afterwards that did more damage. Funny thing was the poor Dutch that was there to screen got tagged by a group of US. They did let him go but would of been more funny if they had sunk him. These guys seemed a bit hungry...lol Good fight. -
I actually liked the land grant concept but just think it was bad timing. Maybe later on it would of been a good thing to bring into the game. I really think they should put small things in while they work the big things. Like most the stuff in current test bed prob can be brought into live server. Than folks will be more willing to wieght. That and they some times just need to post the stuff and be over with it. I do notice they have a Q&A section in the Russian part of the forums they tend to answer. I watch it cause I been getting more data on this patch from it than in the main area. Something like that would prob help. Cause the biggest problem is they leave a lot of things unanswered and folks just waiting. The wait game is a killer for players. We are a bunch of spoiled brats at times.

One of the problems is when you line fight you have to have time to move and get into positions. We use to line fights for the old port battle system with the towers to fight until we got BR or keep BR (defense). That cause the longer we keep them from getting BR the longer and better chance we had to win. Most the times in those battles it came down to running out of time. So with the new system we found with the cap circle thing that sinking gives you a faster win if the other side has the numbers to control circles and it's hard to line fight in the circles and control them so you take it to brawls. Than again I'm a Pirate so why the hell would I want to fight fair any way lol

On PvP2 we have to log out in front cause we all don't have the same time/work so some have to get there early and log out. So instead of coming in small groups we pick a point and log out cause pirates can barely field a full 25. While the US/GB/Dutch can and have fieelded 25+ any where from 10-25 screeners at some port battles. So if we don't log out before the port battle we will never get into the fight for the port. I kinda can see it on a server that has a large population and there is never a problem with having numbers to fill port battles.

A little touche man? I said folks, I never said you are bitching. You will all ways have those type of folks that want to complain. Man take a chill pill the comment had nothing to do with you. As for if the game is playable I started on PvP1. I moved to PvP2 when they split the PvP into Mirror. So I have played on both servers with good and bad ping. So yes it's helpful as we are saying what you can and can't do cause of what we have done. How about this...if your going to have that attitude maybe you should just stay over on the EU server? Negging every one cause they don't have the same view as you is very immature. -
I never been a big fan of duels cause real battles don't have rules and they never end up how you plan them out. I think the merger will be good for all. It will give some sides some new faces and numbers. Might get some new folks to rise up to take charge of some of the fights since some of the old folks in control won't have the numbers to remain in control. And if they take off the 2 battle limits one group can set up a battle during there time and another at another and it's not just one time we have battles a day. It's going to be at any time with an assortment of players. It's just that we get folks to change nations and spread out the numbers over the nations to give a better balance over all. So when that day comes we will see ya'll at sea. Fair winds and Safe Sailing...

Isn't that like good ping for most of the SEA players on the US server? I mean I thought ping doesn't matter? Now we are going to start seeing folks bitch about it if the server is in the US and they have to play with the same ping every one else that wasn't EU has to have. US for a global server is more fair for SEA/AUS players and gives a more rounded spot for most players including the EU. My issue is never the ping as I can play with the high ping on EU, it's the stupid lag spikes where it goes up to 400-600 out of the blue or worse. I don't get spikes that that on other EU games. Hell the Danes on PvP2 that are SEA players play with pings around the 400-600 range for the guys that have to play through the china firewall. Now those poor guys can't play on EU cause the ping is just so out of the roof for them there. As for the other question for a global server you should be able to play any time and there is no such thing as night flips. War happens at any hour. Can't field that port battle time than come back later and attack it and take it in your prime player time. -

It means US can fight there own fights. It means Brits can fight there own fights. As we have equal numbers. I have no problem with the Brit/Dutch alliance. That is actually a fair pick up it's when all three are in one alliance and all they do is attack small nations. Why do ya'll have few defenders? You need to get folks that do log in into the port battles. Why are there so many screeners out side of US on US port battle, but you have half of it filed with Brits. Get those US player leveled up. Same goes for brits. Give your players something to do cause one of the biggest complaints I hear from small clans of the US/Brits is there is no one to fight other than Pirates and well we are a higher skill level. If ya'll will stop attacking the small nations and we will prob drop back to just PvP in OW. The only reason we are attacking major econ ports and pushing hard on ya'll cause you run from the equal fights (even when you out number us) or not show up, but you go to the fights where you severally out number the small nations. What it does mean is if one of those nations attacks a small nation they have a better chance fighting only one nation not all three. Read again those are the numbers of log in each of those days taken for the day of Sat and Sun. Can you take a second and get your info straight before you type. Now the first braket. Lets look at this chart once more. The first braket listed as total is the total number of player son our server. Yes I'll agree many of these folks are AFK and not logging in, but it lets you know the actuall size of each nation as a whole. So lets ignore those numbers. Now the second one listed Sat Mar 18 is the total number of players that logged in the last 24 hours. I do believe there was a few PB those days so lets say these are going to be peek times. The third bracket is Sunday Mar 19. Which this was the day of Vera Cruz port battle so it had even higher spiked numbers. I do agree the numbers don't tell active players and active PvP/RvR players, but it's to say the full number of players in nation. Hell we do not see 100 pirates and I'm going to promise you just from our clan many of us have pirate alts so say 10 of us have pirate alts that is 20 of the 100 pirates that logged in that day (these aren't actual numbers just making them up). That is for other nations to so it doesn't take into account for that either. Look at the port battles listed in this thread and you will notice for the pirates it's the same 15-20 guys from BLACK every port battle with maybe 5 none clan members (we call them Mort Rats) filling the blanks and even than most of those are the same guys (Privateer and Storm Crow being two). So even if BLACK and our alts count for half those 110 Pirates that log in the other half are the folks that don't get involved in RvR. So lets use this for each nation and just cut it in half in numbers. We will use Sunday as a good range of numbers to go off since it had the highest log in. Pirate 110 players so we go with 50 Spain 29 so we go with 15 (they did have a port battle that day didn't they?) Fracne 20 so we go with 10 (sounds about what Elric says he has) GB 123 so we go with 60 (still more than pirates) Dutch has 35 so 17 (which 17 is the most I seen them have in PB so I think this is a true number for that nation) Swedes 13 so we will go with 6 (this is about right with RISE and Badbenny guys) Dans 32 so we go with 15 (I think really the 32 is closer to there real numbers with the pirates alts and new clan) US 183 so 90.......right there this shows that US has more than most nations if two paired up so there is no excuse for them to need GB help. Now lets just drop all that silly numbers as it's just guessing....remember folks some times and specially close to a patch will just log on do there econ and than log off. It's not our fault ya'll have so many carebears in your nations. If you can't field the port battles than maybe you shouldn't have so many ports even though clearly by the devs numbers you have plenty of the players and they are logging in. If you want more folks to show up you need to do things to get them out and fight and play. I listed many times the biggest complaint we hear is no one to fight other than the pirates and small nations. Well give them some one to fight. You don't have to go to war, but if ya'll don't want to fight pirates cause we are OP (more skilled) than give them some one to fight with and get experience and more organized. Rolling a nation with 30+ at a port battle when they can only field 10 will never get you guys better, it only encourages lazyness in your own nations and that is why ya'll keep loosing fights when you out number us 25 vs 19. We fight all the time out number so we are use to it and that is why we win against those odds. -
When exactly is soon. In another post we where told we would get an update today on info, still no update and it's pretty late your time so I figure nothing? At this rate it's going to take 2 months for this patch to come out so we will be waiting now for over 5-6 months since last patch and still no new content even though we currently have new stuff in test server that could prob be moved to main servers. While every one sits and wait for the merge/patch in the next 2 months folks will stop playing and the game will get dead like last time you said you wil have a patch in a week and it took over a month for the patch. Just make the decisions and go with it.

Just wait we will get an update of info soon.....even though yesterday they said we will get an update today.....well when the freak is SOON. Is that in a few hours, days, weeks, months? I got a feeling they aren't going to update crap to us. ALl ready saying Testserver will be updated in a week or two. Which means there is no way they will make the 2 week window they gave us for the patch as one week is all ready over. So they won't make the 30 day window which means it's more like end of April start of May when we see this patch. All the while they won't do the patch we where expecting of the current stuff on test server we been testing. I mean it's been over 3 1/2 months since our last patch and looks like it will be another month and half.. No longer they keep loosing players.

Remember nationals have alts too, so lets just say they equal each other out so it's prob about the same split percentage wise of those nations. I wouldn't say that much, but I would say they prob at some times 10-20% of the server pop is prob alts of players and not just of one nations. Every nation has folks with alts. I don't like adding pirates in any alliances as we can't join your port battles and you can't join ours. So I broke it up more like this. GB/DUT/US 60% DAN/FRA/SPA/SWE 20% Pirates 20% I think these are pretty sound numbers. Now as folks like to say, "This isn't the PvPers though." Sorry not my fualt the majority of your players aren't into RvR or PvP, but I still see 25-50 players show up on that one allaince to port battles so they aren't lacking numbers when they want to show and no one expects 100% show at every port battle at every time, but when a nation can't field the same numbers at all port battle times and it's the only nation you attack than there is a problem. -

I was thinking it would be cool if we got some of the reward stuff like the marks too. Maybe nothing int eh admiraltity store that we can keep, but if we can star collecting the marks we can use them as soon as the ship wipe patch goes live. Just some more thing on current test server that would be nice if a patch was released of those things instead of waithign for the ship wipe patch to come out a month from now.

18 hours later. Don't think shortly was the best word for this...lol I think I saw some where else ya'll where goign to give more details today. I hope so as a lot of us are sitting here wondering what is going on and when we get to start testing and if we will see the Pirate vs Pirate and structure stuff before the big patch comes. Which with ya'lls track record won't be 2-4 weeks from now (it's all ready been a week of that) but more like 4-8 weeks from now. It's all ready been 3 months....folks have been waiting on patches over and over and over.....

BECAUSE FOR THE 100 TIME THIS CAN BE ABUSED. Every one will be flagged when they haul stuff and you kill the trader hunter for PvP players and well it's been way exploited in several other games that have had such systems. If you don't want to risk PvP than stay in the PvE area, it covers 1/3 of the dang map and most players rarely see past there first few regions from there capital. You don't see us PvPers bitching about losing a 1/3 of the map do ya'll? On a side note i play to have my smuggler flag on at all times in the PvE zone in case a PvEr wants to get a bit brave and frisky.

In fact double shot makes your rang go to hell, basically turns your guns into Carros at close range. Though I would say with any gun and shot you need to adjust for speed and distance only as wind doesn't effect any shot in game as far as I know.
