What he means is up to 310 crew if you return to port you got some of your crew back auto. After that you have to pay for the crew. This was to help the lower level players not run out of crew. Now that is removed since all crew is free in port. So yes if your RA you get all crew up to 1100 back for free while in port. I like the last part, 6th rates and below captured by all, anything above only pirates can capture AI wise. That will make up for us not having SOL BP's in the shop ready to us.

I'm fine with the marks/conquest system points and stuff. What I'm not ok with is why do Pirates get one 5th rates from the shop while all 7 other nations (pirates is a nation too) get 8 ships. Aggy and all the SOL's? I'm sorry that means my level 50 crafter might as well be a national than a pirate. You just took us effectively out of RvR. Which I"m fine with that if you give us a proper raid system and let us be pirates instead of a broken nation. Is there any plans to do a pirate rework in the future? Good thing I have alts, looks like my main crafter is going to be National instead of pirate.

I have 8 ship slots (redeem once) I have a connie and two LVG. The LVG's are back in Mort. When I tried to redeem the trader lynx (I have three for some reason) it says I don't have free dock space. I was than able to get a basic cutter. If I put the connie in fleet I can't move, zero knts in OW. Took connie out and i can move now.

And what exactly do I get for the othe 15 levels of my level 50 crafter since I can't build SOL's any more? There should be some replacement for pirates and not one 5th rate if they aren't allowed to easily craft something that all 7 other Nations (pirates is a nation too you keep forgetting) can craft but we can't? I can see if they gave us a bunch of other Refits that Nationals don't have, but one ship compared to 8 ships they get to craft? This is why I said let us capture all ships, make that a pirate only perk. I have no problem with the restrictions to be honest I just think if you remove something you should have something replace it for that nation to make it more unique and not just a cookie cutter of the 7 other nations that just has a bunch of restrictions and no perks. Again what perks does a pirate have over any other nation? NONE....other than one 5th rate ship vs 8 and bunch of other restrictions. Until the Devs stop treating us like any other nation than we are going to stay a Nation.

Find a bigger ship fleet out on the OW and than you have your battle. THose missions are for low level players to get a little help leveling up in none shallow areas since we don't have a NEWBIE AREA any more.

This would work great even if it's only just national. We really could use a reputation systems and if you get a good trade reputation with certain nations you might be able to see there national market too. Maybe limit it to only while in that region or something.

Acutely no we don't, you didn't see the post of the pictures? We can't get the BP's or permits to build any SOL or Aggy. We only have the option to get them for the P. Frigate. That effectively takes us out of the RVR fight for anything other than shallow unless we get a National to sale us those permits and BPs or we do the other thing. Just use our alts to do it if we got them. Looks like instead of my main crafter being pirate he's going to end up being a National instead. mercenary out? Lol we can't join there port battles or fights for the most part so what we screen for them? Why would they pay us in SOL's when that would make us stronger and threat to them? Really? Even if that so I wouldn't mind it, if the pirates actually got some perks other than tons of nerfs for there play. Name one perk being a pirate over a national than tell me what nurfs/penality any nationals have? They have none compared to all the restrictions pirates have. I'm all for a hard mode, but if you going to make tons of restrictions on one nation, that nation should have some type of perk to replace those thigns they lost. And now doing Pirate vs Pirate is not a perk. It can actually be seen as yet another restrictions on the hard mode, cause not only is every one at war with you, other pirates can kill you too.

While I"m stuck I tagged two privateers. Battle went as normal demasted boarded and won. I hit the sink command after taking the rum off it. The ship doens't sink. This should be a skuttle command so you can sink a ship in battle. Well I moved to the next one took a few pop shots and demasted it too and the first ship still hasn't sunk. I took the cargo off it (one of the pumps) after boarding. First ship still not sunk. Yah that command should be a skuttle command not a it will sink at the end. Cause all ships with white flags sink at the end of the battle any way right? SO really no reason to click it. I get out of battle and go to OW. Still stuck in the OW doing zero knots in front of la Tort. Going to log off that char cause there is no point playing him now with him stuck. Ok I was able to use return to deep water port to get unstuck and back to La Tort. Though it did allow me to do so with cargo in hold.

My connie when I left port was doing 8 knts fine i can be slow to get it out of the free port i was in. Did a quick battle and now I'm stuck doing 0 knts in location of the battle. Would be nice to know what all ships are bugged so we can stop using them. Maybe we can get a report list from folks posted? Well glad I have other accounts to use....though really right now I think I'm just going to turn the game off and go play something else.

Yah I'm not realy worried about the BS part, as long as I get enough time to go top off my refreshments and use the restroom before I get back out there I'm ok with that. If I wasn't wanting good fights and risk I shouldn't be in Enemy waters in the first place.

Prob would be good to have regional trade channels or something too. I would say one channel for the whole game might be to much, but regions would prob be nice or have it cover a large zone. If you do not leave the battle they will continue to fight under your directions. If you tell them to retreat and they can, they will retreat and you keep them. I had lost a ship and my AI won the fight. I have also had the traders run and retreat while my crappy ship sunk holding off the AI I was tagged but bit off to much than i could chew, but I keep the trader ships cause it was able to sink (my ship was a basic cutter so no lost). So that is how it works if you have a fleet. Though if you leave the battle early and they have not escaped or sunk all the ships than they surrender and are lost.

Well I see that SOL's and certain other ships are now going to be National only. And if that is so than ya'l effectively just took Pirates out of any SOL RvR in game. Than we should be able to capture any ship we want AI or player. Hay but atleast we have the Pirate frigate and it doesn't cost 100 trade notes any more (effectively 1000 PvE notes). I have no problem with us being restricted to 4 rate ships and below, but we have to have some perks to all the negative we get. We are still a bastard child of a nation with a bunch of negatives and no perks. We need something that makes us not the same as other nationals if we are going to be resticted on what we can or can't craft compared to other nations.

I like this, you know he has 15 mins to exit (plenty of time like I said to take a restroom break, get a snack or what not). Though you don't know exactly his location but the general area he might be in and can spread out and do a search. Giving him a better chance of slipping past. Though the invisible timer needs to be not to long as it gives you time to get a head start and not instantly tagged. Though I do think folks should have the option to log out so when they log back in they are in the OW. Maybe make it forced to the ow when they log out. I'm sorry if i been fighting some one an hour and half I might want to take a break or have to log out and go do things like DINNER, FEED THE KIDS, ACTUALLY GO TO WORK....etc... This game is a time sink, but you know if your in a battle it's going to maybe last an hour and half, but if you can't just log out and leave the game than you are stuck playing or loosing your ship if you have to go RL things after that hour and half. 15 mins is plenty time to know that if they aren't forced out they logged out and we can go on with our happy life. And yes I know folks will just log out of game to avoid fights, but we have to have other options than a total hard core option for all or you will loose your causal players.

@admin Whehn are the other ships going to be added back to crafting, hell when is ship crafting going to be done? Right now if there is a LVG (never see any trader snow/brigs) in the shop it's going to be bought up fast and prob reposted out some crazy price. So I would prefer to craft my own, but well other than the Trader Snow/brig there is no BP's for LVG's or Indy's. So we have to try to luck out and grab one from the shop when they respawn since can't capture NPC ships any more.

Well glad I have three chars and one will be my decated crafter so I can keep myself in ships and hopefully others. Though if there is a lot of actions I'll be spending all my time replacing my ships only if I have bad luck. Can't even just snatch and AI ship and keep on trucking until I can get back to home ports. I think you right they basically just kill the pirates. maybe some day they will make us something other than just some red-headed step or Bastrad child of a nation.

15 mins is plenty of time I would say, if you can't get your business done in that time than you might have some other issues lol You can still get tagged than and pulled into a battle. I'm more just saying a bit of time to go smoke a cig, take a restroom break get a snack before you have to face a battle again. I sat out side a port after a port battle for 13 hours to capture/sink 7 first rates with some clan mates (only one other sat with me all day) So I know all about camping the out side of a battle screen. Need to leave the GPS (it's not even GPS cause there is no dot you still have to figure out how to read a map) cause some fokls including myself get lost and suck at maps. They did have means to chart there locations back than with maps and other things. Well that is all fine if I was in the Navy...but as a Pirate I should be able to split my prize with my crew and advance some one to captian of my fleet if I so wish or upgrade my ship to something bigger for my raiding. Hmmmmm since pirates have nothing but nagative effects to them right now could be a lovely perk of being a pirate. They can only capture ships while all nationals can't. Though as a trade off make it where they can't craft anything above a 4th rate. Many brought this up before. Hint Hint. Yah I like this way better than totally removal. Even wight great charts they where never exactly perfect with the locations of where they where. So making it where you can be off a bit at your location would be a good way to meet in the middle with those that hate the GPS and those that still want some form toe chart there locations, but this is a topic for another time.

Again this hurts the solo player that can't afford to buy ships every time they get sunk. I like using the captured ships either as an AI trader in my fleet or a war ship in my fleet. Now I have to craft every ship I want to use and than make the guns? This going to get really expensive fast if the awards are worth a crap. Glad we get the scuttle button, but if all ships are sunk when you leave the battle kinda pointless other than the fact I can scuttle it to keep some one else from recapturing and using that ship in a battle. Every thing else I like for the most part. @admin question about the end of battle. If we need to take a restroom break or something can we stay in the battle instance and take care of that before we leave and go to the OW or will it instantly kick you into the OW affter a set amount of time after the battle is over. The only thing I really liked about the BRS was I could take a quick break before getting back into the actions. I been in fights that lasted over 4 hours longs cause folks camped out side with there buddies and keep tagging me. Some times you just need a break.

I noticed there was no slight state boost for the player built ship over the store bought one like we have on live now. I think player built ships should have that slight boost still. Nothign big, but anything built by a player should always be better than the exact same build from the store. As for AI OW ships I did get a green cutter yesterday. So is there a slight chance to get something a little better than the gray ship? Would be nice to have a slight chance to get a blue (storebought/player built ship) off the AI's for new players or low levels that can't afford to buy ships and get them from the AI Oh and do we still get xp off folks using our crafted ships? I was wondering about that too. Now if we can just get the rest of the ships crafting stuff to test server with the refits and all.

Three chars help a lot. I mention that in another post I think a small clan of 5-10 players is going to be needed to craft ships at a decent rate. I did have some one donate 100 stone blocks to me to speed it up. The rest I got between the three chars. Along with a nice donation of Mahog from a clan mates Spanish alt. I'll be crafting a Indefatigable as soon as I get the labor hours in the next day as I have every thing for that ship too. Well other than cannons.....but I'll have that cover shortly.

I always thought a fog of war map would be kinda cool for those that want to explore and prob just about any one. You can buy charts off other players to unlock other section if you want, but the cheapest way to know what the map shows is just to explore it your self. My main char has been to every port on the map once. I still prob would have a few spots not passed on the map if there was a fog of war of where I been. I loved it back when we had to explore a port to find out the production and refits until they told every one what was in every port and what regions did what. I had a good number of them explored and the pirate ones I brought goods to build trader lynx to figure out the refit for that zone in the first day of every pirate owned region. Could of had achievements tied to things like this. -
The armor thickness looks way off from what it use to be. Maybe it's percentage instead of base stats? The extra armor on the side looks about right. I'll have the labor hours on Big Texas (my crafter) in the morning to gun it up. If I can get my hands on some cedar I would make a cedar one to better compare. Looking at the turn rate and such I don't think we are getting player crafted bonus any more like we did on live server. Wonder if we will still the get combat xp from others using our crafted ships.

And I think some battles are auto lost no matter what if you don't advance, but I haven't played enough to be sure of this.
