  1. We're still pre-release, relax.
  2. I'm aware of the cap a ship with the note and trade a ship with the note in hold methods. I even F11'd it in case it was an oversight. Maybe it isn't a problem? The note delivery of a premium ship could just be a temporary and soon to be deprecated "weakness"?

Liq, lemme help like you helped me. Noone should have to PVE, it's not that it harms the body, it drains the soul.
  4. It won't run anything for anyone. This is the least of anyone's problems, I promise. I wish we would focus on avoiding 5v2 in patrols instead of worrying about the feelings of the top half of the top percentile players. We won't even take anything away from them as they can go enjoy even worse odds on OW.
  5. By all means, be my guest.
  6. Just kill a handful of ventres, don't make such a big deal out of it.
  7. You are a hopeless romantic, hachi. I still have hope we can get br equalizing limits in patrols. I'd let you spank me all day erry day.
  8. Almost as good. I would run into issues with moving things and money between captains in different nations. I've also done quite a bit of afk activities on alts while being hands-on with my main.
  9. This is interesting, especially as it relates to me and my use of alts. I wouldn't want to sandbox, I'm doing everything I can to avoid sandboxing. I just want to shoot at ships. Everyone is forced to deal with eco if you want to shoot at ships with competitive equipment. Alts provide a way to minimize eco activities, fast-track getting rare things and in general mitigate the eco fun-tax. I can't escape it altogether, but with alts the situation is quite bearable. It's bearable because NA fighting is truly fantastic. I'm a rabid fan which is weirdly contrasted with how pissy I get over eco stuff.
  10. I can agree that this is an ideal, but is it possible? Heh, I've seen those. I haven't seen one that would've worked, though. Tell me, do you know of a sandbox game with production and eco where they have "dealt" with alts?
  11. Don't be so obtuse. Steam rules block them from dealing with the alt issue. They would have if they could, it would make the game a lot easier to balance.
  12. Guns and repairs should sell ok at patrol mission freeports, have you tried that?
  13. That could still be a thing. The only difference being you can't bring a prem back home once the instance is over. Why do you say this? That is the main attraction for me. But I thought you guys loved doing that. Would you stop OW activities because of a few premium ships? RvR crafting won't be affected as they won't sell a bunch of lineships.
  14. I haven't seen any explanation in detail. Again, I'm assuming based on how premium vehicles and vessels work in all other games that I know of (+ the yacht), so I could be sadly mistaken in this sandbox logic. Would you buy a one-off ship for real money? It's a really hard sell for me. I don't mind supporting the development of this game and I have quite shamelessly bought alts to make my life as easy as possible. What do you mean by "trade into your ship"?
  15. Right now you can't. At least this is the case with herc. I don't know what they'll decide on. Surely you see the inevitable issues of people using friends or alts to click out one ship a day and letting them be capped? Maybe? Then again the only difference will be people can't keep disabled premium ships.

  17. I just assumed they would make uniform limitations for the upcoming prem ship packs. Yacht can't be given away either and we can click out one each day.
  18. ... other than daily prem ship duping with alt or friend.
  19. It bores me too, honestly. I know there's nothing I can do about it, so there's no point in forum politics on that issue. I even tried to avoid it, but everytime I follow the breadcrumb trail of issues in NA I end up at loss mechanic and then I don't know what to do. That's a hard sell to me given the relative universal popularity difference between the sandbox and moba genre games. If you were to defend that statement quantitively, what theory would you base your method on and what statistics would support your assumption? I can be my own devil's advocate and say that even if McD food is easier to sell in higher quantities over time that shouldn't and won't deter people from making more nutritious and tasty food at a higher price point. Fancy food places don't care about all the customers McD attracts. This makes perfect sense to me and it most likely fixable without breaking everything else.
  20. Ah, ofcourse... The stomp teams sit on or fight over a few important ports, while normal teams lose their motivation to fight for ports they don't even need? Back to wot... Noone needs anything there so years and years of clanwars has been fueled by bragging rights and fun only. (Simplified, but not much) Back to NA... Bragging rights and fun is nowhere near enough to motivate people for RvR.
  21. Yes, most definitely. In random matches the matchmaker does not take skill into account (if you're good you have the right to stomp). But in clanwars or the campaigns there is no matchmaker. When I played on the regular clan wars global map the good teams ended up fighting for a presence on the European map (Bragging rights of being able to compete with top clans) while variable skill teams fought on the African map. There was a natural segregation of teams and skill not imposed by a system in any way. In NA it's not only about honor and glory but we fight over resources everyone wants, kinda. But even eight stomp teams can't or won't hold every port on the map so there are plenty of scraps for normal teams to fight over, or? You know NA RVR and I don't, at all.
  22. I went and checked the "Alley of fame" for the campaign that happened before christmas. 725 clans received rewards. I don't know if that means more participated but didn't get over some reward score threshold. 36825 individual players received rewards. Randomly checked a player profile featured towards the bottom of the list and his global winrate is 48.9% I burned out on the second "FailLöwe" campaign in 2013 and I seem to remember a participant roster of more than 100k accounts, take that with a pinch of salt as memory is a fickle thing. Clans need to be able to field at least one 15man team.
  23. Some may have lost faith in Legends, some other people wanted it to fail. The player retention of Legends in the form we had can be picked apart like there's no tomorrow. As to your quote; Legends was never allowed to attract players. What admin said to the effect about being spread too thin makes sense to me and the discussion can stop there. I actually like the NA community and Legends could have split us rather painfully. Why would I ever spend even a minute in OW after full release of Legends? I know people told themselves that legends would provide recruitment for OW and I've never had the heart to interrupt that. I mean it when I say I'm glad for those who find so much meaning or depth in OW. I like you and NA so much I'm willing to endure some boredom if it's really that important to you (No, fuck that! I'm not distracted by PVE content). I'll help populate the OW, but please, throw me a frikkin' bone, here! Is it so bad if there's one tiny area where idiots and shortsighted fools like me can go and find close to equal (=fun) fights simply because we value that above all else? Maybe it's as easy as flicking a switch? Instead of bemoaning the way we want to enjoy the game, you can accommodate us and be glad we're here and not in COD or whatever game you think is the Devil incarnate. (Open arms rant spurred by Arch but not directed at him)
