  1. I'm aware. I haven't done anything but that since 2003. Then NA Sea Trials bamboozled me into OW.
  2. While you're drooling over EVE; Go look up their PVE to PVP ratio to get a different angle on the discussion on "what they've done right".
  3. I like the small letter coded info squares that disappear when they're no longer relevant. (Airbus pioneered this design in their cockpits)
  4. Ah, yes, I do that too. When firing the leeward side on a heeling ship the point of origin of the balls may be so low that they go into the waves. A depower and neutralizing of the yard may elevate the gundeck sufficiently to allow the shots to go clear of the waves and hit home. The cannons are still vertically stabilized on the target, though. (All this works on the windward side too if an elevated row of guns are firing above the target)
  5. Huh?! Are you sure? I've only seen what @rediii describes.
  6. I had 11 slots before redeem click, I now have 5 more:
  7. I also have a bunch of anecdotes that reinforce my opinions.
  8. Oh, that time was the worst! I remember sailing around growing more and more mad at the pointless time wasting. I remember crying, nagging, bitching and moaning about character teleports. You may put up a picture of me and throw darts at it. Please explain, I don't get it. No quarrel from me there, but I need to remind you of the goal to keep everything in the OW. Firstly: The alt incentive got baked into NA the moment stuff got rare, even before player production. We used alts to vacuum iron out of Mexico during the "iron crisis". Secondly: Show me a sandbox game where alts don't give an advantage.
  9. I get it. Though it also sounds like more pvp for the RvR dudes (shrugs). If I look pragmatically at it and compare my funding of the free to play WoT and NA, I would say I haven't funded shit with my puny purchase three years ago. I'm more than happy to pay for useful stuff and look forward to buying even more useful bigger ships.
  10. You know I'd love to click into the patrol mission from port, but I don't think that's in line with the goal to integrate the fight club with the OW.
  11. I have a friend who doesn't understand why this is even remotely close to a problem. Please explain, slowly...
  12. I'm sad that Admiralty connections didn't include outpost slots. My outpost situation changed after patrol missions, I have trouble keeping supplied while at the same time having access to all patrol mission freeports. I have to muck about with alts to stay comfortable.
  13. Nah, CD starts at redeem click so I can keep my ships going into the patrol zone. Waiting for days after being sunk would suck. Ech, "meaning" is such a mean mistress.
  14. In what way? Does it take a lot of time to get to the area, logistics, hunting? Or do you find the fights themselves take a lot of time? Even pvp fights sure can take a lot of time, back in the day even without recharging repairs our duels could drag out to almost 90 minutes.
  15. And then you want to protect and keep that, timidness, ganking and running intensifies and PvP quality and quantity goes down the shitter.
  16. Don't know, don't wanna know, don't care. Naw, I've never wanted to take away pve from anyone. Seriously. If you like playing against the computer it's fine by me. I will say that being new to full-loot, full loss sandbox I was shocked and soon livid at the collective psychology thing that makes all but everyone a super timid coward, your's truly not completely excluded. I know from people's posting here that pve guys aren't happy. But if someone asked me I would say that this game caters to pve dudes and the pure pvp life is a struggle so hard it has caused most of said people to give up on it in spite of them loving the fighting part of the game. I agree with Slim about the pure pvp contingent being "die hard" and possibly, at this point, being a minority. I have no use for ten thousand pve lovers, but I really want to enable 50 (concurrent) pvp'ers. I don't believe in the least in pve content. admin and gang could spend six months developing pve content and people would burn through it in weeks then cry for more. It's not until you reach PvP nirvana you find endless and engaging content. That makes me instinctively happy. What are your feelings on the matter?
  17. Make patrols incompatible with dreadfleets and ganks and you will funnel more competitive guys into that fight club. There's still the exacerbation of getting ships, reps and guns to the patrol freetowns, but one step at a time... I could fill half your "100 guys" roster with people I personally know that stopped playing the game due to all the downtime between PvP fun. A few posters deliberately downplays the numbers of fun-loving PvP oriented players that could be re-enlisted to our ranks but won't come because of "moar pve content".
  18. I haven't experienced anything that wasn't this, since before EA.
  19. People did that before EA release (Look up old join timer topics). Going to Jamaica to pick on brits in capital waters was one of the first things that happened in OW. PvP marks most likely has contributed to a measurable shift towards sinking ships instead of capture, but any other correlation is based on faith or opinion based inductive reasoning.
  20. Patch content relevant pun, I like.
  21. If players quit because of what happens in global chat WoT would have no players.
  22. It's coming soon @DEPREDADOR
  23. Avoiding that pure time-tax is the main selling point for me. I so look forward to that. Imported ships makes the game more fair; If you don't enjoy getting mats, hauling and crafting nobody forces you to just like people are able to avoid pvp forever.
  24. 😞 I can wait for it, but I'm dying to know if it's rejected, under consideration or planned for later.
  25. I would call that a feature for the smaller and high turnrate ships.
