I know Koltes personally. I will talk this way to a lot of people here on the forum. Not sure you mean by attitude. You are probably kissing your wife when she complains and listen, I do not hold it against me. Cutter sails 25 at 20 degrees to wind angle. Lynx is even faster. I think you were not sailing at your best angle. Boosted wasa speed would definitely be lower than 25. Thats why i am asking about exact numbers. I will not waste QA time on theories. Show me the "money" screen or give me data. -

I actually did answer. I will repeat there would be no difference. The fact that you did not like the answer - does not make my answer dissapear. The data was provided right on the screen in front of you in the corner. There is OW speed indicator and if you were sailing at your best wind point you probably could have checked that speed when wasa was gaining on you (just to see maybe something was wrong). So what was that speed on YOUR t lynx if you were on the best point? Or you were sailing downwind and finally (because of strong wing gusts - light ships could be vulnerable if they are not paying attention? -

Is your comment purely theoretical and you have no information and just post to waste time? I will insist. Is unboosted lynx OR boosted wasa is faster at 15 degrees to wind? You claim that boosted wasa is faster at Lynx best point. If you believe its true you can of course asnwer the simple question What is the speed of Lynx at its best point in OW ? -

I was going 9 knots with a max gust (boost) at 15 degrees to wind in HMS Leopard just this morning. Are you sure trader lynx is slower than 9 knots at 15 degrees (even unfitted). -

Of course it is not clear. It depends on your loss ratio over a number of trips But remember you always lose goods at cost.. and distant ports pay a lot more. allowing you to break even - even if you lose 4 out of 5 ships. (some distant ports can pay 5-6x on your purchase price) -

no. buying goods in some regional capitals and hauling them to other regional capitals. like it was before delivery quests Top 1-2 hours (old time) haul makes 500k -600k per trip NPC traders are only for doubloons (some carry expensive goods), but in general npc traders are not a good target for a high roller, just like one hand machines for a high stake card player. -

You should stop thinking about delivery missions as a main way to make money. They were always to give a head start and that's it. Nerf was long overdue. Real trading is buying trading goods and new wind gusts make them more lucrative. Delivery missions ARE not to make money for the lvl 3 shipyard. PVE is. Find a hunting spot and just rob combat and trading ships. Its much easier to find targets now. And travel is finally a bit more exciting. Russia loses most because their safe route (bermuda -- kidds) is suddenly not so profitable anymore. not sure how it is affecting somebody disproportionately. 10 players *0 10000 players *0 result is equal. -

We did.. This is a well calculated change and we did give them enough time. they are generating too much money. Delivery missions doubloons never coming back (they still can grant doubloons but not as much as before. Doubloons (gold) is supposed to be earned by PVE/PVP battle activities. -

In raids you rob the player controlled ports. So if their tax income is not high you wont get much. You can set up the base somewhere near high tax income port and raid it for profit in reals. Also Sell the marks sell the doubloons maybe? -
We are not neutral at all We call racists, homophobes, and repeated assholes and jerks their names and ban them in chat. Its in the rules. Desmoines was permanently banned for being all of the above several times.

Because warships are faster than traders and warships sail faster in wind gusts.. But the boost is equal for everyone you can use them too. Are you AFK trading by any chance. -

Warning. NPC RAIDS ARE FOR PRACTICE. - raiders WILL NOT take control even if they win the port battle. Use this opportunity to practice the event so you do not lose ports in the future. -
Finally the update is almost here. Contents of the patch Wind patches Wind is the movement of air from high pressure to low pressure areas. When sailing you will encounter an open world representation of uneven pressure systems existing across waters around the world from lakes to oceans. By sailing into or close to a wind gust you will be able to get a wind boost and gain extra speed. This will dramatically affect gameplay, travel and accessibility. This is not the last feature we plan to add in terms of wind, but it is one of the most important ones as it saves time, yet still logical and realistic, even if a little bit exaggerated. NPC Port Battles Raiders will attack ports on all Servers. On war server - for testing purposes - for a week, NPC Raiders will just probe ports and WILL NOT take control even if they win the port battle. This will give some time to practice and prepare for the real raids that will start in a week or two. This is a PRACTICE WEEK On Peace server raiders will start trying to take control of the national ports (belonging to the NPC governments, giving in 2-3 days the chance for player to recapture them to their clan control. This feature is extremely important as it brings Peace server attacking port battles against NPC Peace server investments Peace server taxation and clan control Peace server defensive port battles against NPC Player Raids for Peace and War servers Some ports will give missions to raid rich enemy ports in the vicinity. Your goal would be to take 3-6 captains with you, and steal the chest from the trading ship with escort located in a mission near the port that you have to raid (all escorts must be killed). Once you get the chest you must bring it back to the mission giver. If you want to open the chest elsewhere you will have to find a special key. Chest will contain a portion of tax income, and portion of all investments in the raided port. If you do not have a good mission in the vicinity - find somebody who is raiding another port and steal their cargo. Player raid rewards are fully player driven. If all ports are poor, all missions are going to be poor. If ports are developed rewards will make you rich. Fire Fire and fire shock mechanics improved. Curves added to control the amount of crew firefighting. Small fires will not require a lot of crew to put down, where 1 meter fire will need maybe 2 crew members, but let the fire grow and crew requirement grows exponentially. If 30% of the ship is in flames = more than 80% of the crew will be firefighting (or running). Loki Rune Ship Logbooks Other changes Due to travel speed increases - rewards for delivery quests was lowered Mortar brig damage increased by 30% Clan allies limit increased 2x Attack timer slightly lowered to 8 seconds Overloading is not allowed in battle instances Localization Ukrainian language added Chinese community translation added. Russian community translation added. Of course - New Bugs and issues were introduced Discuss. ps. expect several hotfixes and additions in the next 2-3 weeks.

clan wars do not work well with he fabric of instanced 2 sided combat from the design perspective. There is already too many rules and rings to add more. For example clans are allied sail together and see a battle against their nation.. who do they join? how does it work if they join both sides? Its like outlaw battles but in reverse. Not going to work because 10 jerks or exploiters will ruin it for everyone.

Our provider sends keys en masse. Some email providers do not consider this ok (very harsh rules of potential spam) and block the email. There is nothing shady - hold on you will get helped.
