Trading is fixed? **Unpopular Opinion**
admin replied to Never's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
Admiral Ackbar. We have seen this before. It's a trap. Because costs of mined resources is fixed, everyone became richer. People paying millions for upgrades giving 1-3% bonuses more are a minority. There will be no limitations as reduction of time wasted for an average player is a priority. It does not matter if you make 5 trips or 1 trip - you risk 100% of cargo, so why force you waste 4x of your time. The answer is no - there is no reason to waste time of 4 more trips. This is all we want to say to suggested limitations on trading. Here is the topic where we are interested in player feedback . -
Buckets will make impossible to explode the standard non-fire ship. The crew damage was drastically reduced in last patch and brace effectiveness was almost doubled. Perhaps shockwave distance should be reduced a bit.
-
your crew wont die on brace. Fire next to magazine no longer explodes it. Fire will first spread around unilt fire shock appears, and will explode the magazine 15 seconds after We are very worried about wind shadow though now. We cant imagine complaints from experienced captains where the whole fleets would get stuck and destroyed because fleet commanders could not manage wind shadow discipline, during tacks
-
it is impossible after today's patch
-
In terms of Fireships - we are adding the heavy crew penalties to fire ships so they can be easily identified (sunday or next week)Normal ships still carry a lot of gunpowder and exploding will damage your fleet if burned and shot at. Fire safety discipline though is the responsibility of the whole fleet and fleet commanders. Buckets save lives. Speeding up explosions by shooting at target was invented by British by the way, multiple sources say about shooting into ships on fire to spread it. This was implemented after several references were found on this mechanic.
-
The explosion delay is always 15 seconds or more. It could have felt shorter in the heat of the battle. Fire shock could have appeared before you looked at the target. If the battle was recorded you can find the moment on video and post here...
-
Its 15 seconds or more.. Never less Question Why not use buckets? Like nelson. Upgrade name is Extra Buckets In game they almost immediately stop fires and drastically increase firefighting, making it almost impossible to explode you with outside fire. They were on ships everywhere for a reason
-
explosions were tuned significantly today in the patch. please provide feedback on explosions in battles after the patch
-
not a bug but rounding.. kill 1 more ship or get assists
-
Fire Hot Fix 1) Explosion damage to crew reduced 2x 2) Brace (F10) Effectiveness - increased 3) Explosion damage to masts increased 4) Explosion damage to sails increased Important Magazine explosions now will only happen after fire shock started to give players visual indication of the potential impending doom. Magazine can be reached by fire before - but it will only explode in fire shock.

AI fleets attack traders on PvE

In their mind they are playing the game. They paid up to 40 dollars for the right to sail AFK. -

That was not an experiment. Agressive AI in some form is absolutely necessary for immersion as Passive NPC turn the world into a static picture. They will come back in a different form to Peace (Pve server) some day (as pirates or raiders). They are removed to close the bug allowing players to enter those battles. -

The removal is to solve the PVP problem as players can join on the side of privateers. We know some tension is good for the Peace server. And pirates never signed any peace agreements. They will come back slightly reworked. -
What is this? 6 min first battle (battle timer is 5 mins) 14 min second battle (battle timer is 5 mins). Constitution was chasing you - then you turned engagement started - ships stopped firing at 12th min and at 14th exited the battle after receiving heavy damage. Are you sure you were griefed?

AI fleets attack traders on PvE

On the OW they use Wind boosts. But again. Peace server means Peace between nations and Privateers acting as players should honor peace rules. On PVP they will eventually behave inside the instance and will learn to chase players. -

Attack will be switched off tomorrow or day after tomorrow on the Peace server. AI will consider effects of peace agreements just like all other players.- 111 replies

AI fleets attack traders on PvE

Players from Peace server are correct. The nations are at peace thats why agressive combat AI should not attack players - as it is against the name of the server. -
AI fleets attack traders on PvE
admin replied to Admiral Olsen's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
Yes. Just said this above Because mechanics are shared across servers - capital waters act the same way on all servers. As a result owners of capital waters (brits at KPR) can enter battles created near their capitals against privateers (privateers are treated as players). We like aggressive AI on peace server for immersion , not sure if players like it. What do you think? We know players like @hoarmurath from peace server love aggressive ai. -

Loki does not work on Peace server Its not LOKI that is causing pvp on Peace server Its just because some mechanics are shared (battles created in Capital waters can be entered by owners of capital waters). This will be fixed ASAP -
yes crew nukes are too strong.. hulls were wooden and could protect people. We will reduce the crew damage, increase sail damage keep mast and hull damage. We will also try to increase the brace effectiveness. you have 1 day left to enjoy the nuking fireworks we will also add crew penalties to fire ship related fittings to simulate low crews required to operate them. it will take longer though.

We did not like that explosions were just a nuisance and were not really dangerous. We also did not like that explosions did not do anything with masts much and with sails. As a result we doubled the damage to masts, hull and crew and increased the radius slightly. (It was in the patch notes) Explosions became deadly and dangerous (which they should be) but we do not want the battles to be played solely in this direction.. What do you guys think? PS Meanwhile - a reminder - ships equipped with buckets are very hard to explode by focus fire as they drastically increase firefighting rate- other countermeasures are coming .
