  1. we will tune the radius of defensive zones for some capitals so they are not too big and do not move to the areas where these large fleets do not make sense for example Mortimer town defensive area will be reduced so it does not come to windward channel. Which definitely should not see such large pirate fleets operating. this will be done asap (1-2 days)

  3. We can reconsider some rewards and % of it. But raids should not be never a main source of income. They are mostly for small groups and small clans to get victory marks, some combat marks and doubloons. Some raids though can be very profitable. You just have to find them. They are not available from every port and require search

  6. Interesting But i think the current battle ratings properly reflect the strenght of 3rd rates compared to 1st rates. almost 2 bellonas for 1 ocean.
  7. The rewards are indicated on the raid chest when you look at the mission and depend on the enemy port. If you do not like the reward do not take the raid. You can skip it if it gives low rewards and find another one - or find out enemy rich raids and raid the raiders (they are happening daily) Just like the real life raiding minor towns is useless and if your city does not have rich cities in the vicinity you wont see any good rewards from agents in that city. Capture a base near enemy rich ports.
  8. Outlaw battles were a safety switch. See enemy - attack a friend. We wasted 3 months on them. 3 weeks to code and then 2.5 months to fix all bugs and loopholes. There will be no changes to pirates. Current in game pirates are a Pirate Republic of Mortimer (Mathew) town formerly known as a Pirate republic of Nassau (or an offshoot of libertaria on madagascar) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_Pirates Any changes to them will be welcomed by 50% of pirates Those exact changes will be hated by another 50% of pirates Those 50% of pirates will be very very upset and will become very negative persons as they will consider their content STOLEN from them. The positive voice from happy 50% will not be heard as usual as they will be in game. While unhappy 50% will be on steam and here on the forum, creating more negative impression for new comers. As a result here is the simple answer on pirate limitations PS If new mechanics are introduced they will be introduced as Profession (outlaws) and will be deployed in similar form as Dark Knights in Final Fantasy 14 or Worgens in Wow (expansion purchase required)

  14. super we are now working new player mission. All existing features wont get touched and will only be slightly tweaked. This is it - times of experiments are over. All new things will be absolutely new and will only relate to new content or new combat features or quality of life (like hull leeway which will improve looting)
  15. Both features were proposed by the community and implemented to perfection (explosions became more deadly, smaller ports can now be captured by smaller groups of people directly. There was no regional conquest for like 3 years in game and we had county frontlines only this year. Frontlines reduced RVR - it is obvious.
  16. Earthquake work this way. Unreleased tension explodes when limitations are removed. Which means A LOT of people wanted to have smaller battles and were right pointing at that. It will slow down after it.

  19. Its a combination of factors. The explosion damage exists only for 8 days or slightly more but people already figured it out and actually found the strategy to use it. Strength of explosions and distance was much higher early december but did not have such results on batttles.! All parameters now are almost at the old level now with the exception of masts and sails. What affects the explosiosn is this Capturable first rates (will remain in game) Much better understanding of how fireships can be used en masse This opened a new layer of gameplay that could only be uncovered by shaking it up a little back and forth. This layer was always possible, but players only realised it now. If we see full fleets of fireships tomorrow after almost full reversal of stats this would means its not the stats. And you are correct, no matter what stats are a chain of fireship explosions will sink a fleet. And 50% fireship composition could affect the outcome. Lets give it one more day. If this is true - fire ship upgrade should become crafteable and should cost as 2-3 lineships to manufacture.

Patch will be deployed tomorrow (it was delayed to recheck negative crew bonuses on fireships fitting) Damage to masts will be reduced from 80% to 55% Damage to crew will be reduced from 50% to 25% even more (last week it was 90%) Damage to sails will remain Shockwave Distance will be reduced from 400m to 300m for non fire ships Fireship bonus will remain +50% distance (meaning shockwave will go to 450m now instead of 600m) Fireships Upgrades will receive the debuff to crew and to reload (-60 and -50% respectively) This will make them easily identifiable and their DPS will be 4-5x lower allowing players to just ignore them and reboard sending them back to enemy.

Nelson would say thank you The total number of active ships with 30+ guns (Not under repair) for the East India Company were less than 50. I think you can see now why you see explosions more often.
