no both nations must be a top choice for each other - but because the voting lasts for a week and you get multiple votes you will be able to put votes to make the second choice a first choice basically - only 1 alliance per week. -

Hello Captains Would like to share our final view on the design of alliances that will be deployed next patch. Allied Nations will be enforced by a ruleset. Allied nations: Can enter each other ports Are pulled into battles as friendlies Can enter port battles Cannot be attacked Enemy nations: Needed to block situations where your ally also has an alliance with your enemy. You cannot ally with nations who have alliances with your enemy and vice versa. They must dissolve that alliance first and only after that you will be able to ally with them. Alternatively you must change the views on the enemy and then will be able to join the alliance Alliance creation is a political process that requires national effort in voting screen and in real life. Alliances are created by national voting and are enforced by systems. How voting will work. Voting is done in weekly rounds. Every voting round your nation does 2 things votes for the enemy nation (same enemy can be picked) votes for the potential ally Alliances are signed for top choices for matching nations for a certain time (several weeks). Example on how it will work. Week one France picked Sweden as a top ally choice (picking denmark as enemy) Sweden picked France as a top ally choice (picking great britain as enemy) Then during next maintenance alliance is signed for 2 weeks between France and Sweden. Once alliance is signed all votes are reset and credited back to the player for the next round of voting. Week two France is already allied with Sweden France wants to ally with Great Britain Because one of their ally members has listed Great britain as enemy this alliance cannot be signed and is not available for voting To be able to ally with Great britain france must persuade Sweden to drop Great britain as enemy and replace it with someone else (for example Denmark) As a result in 3 weeks (3 rounds of voting) 2 or 3 large blocks will be created. Over time the situations might change. Because of the forced enemy decision there will always be 2 large blocks at the minimum. Votes Vote limits are granted based on level. Voting is allowed above a certain rank. To be able to vote for allies player must first vote on the enemy. Other considerations. Alliances also will play important part in hostility generation Sinking enemies will grant extra points in pvp and pve. Attacks on allied NPCs will be forbidden and will force players to move closer to hostile waters.

Issues are issues. We welcome criticism This feature sucks - and here is why is a constructive comment New 2nd ship of the line + 10 new perks + multiple bug fixes is NOT CONTENT = is not a constructive comment. Its just subjective. Players who make such comments will always be unhappy - whatever you do. -

Being older leaves less time for haters. We just ignore them. And have no time or desire to converse with them or cater to them. So please give me a break and stop using this "professional behavior" card as a permit to attack devs without response. We are not professional and have no plans to change our direct ways. We tell things as they are. -

7.5% is better than 0 Press gang is not OP - it is just cheap maybe Amount of money is not a problem - in fact it is irrelevant at this stage. Someone having 100 mln only helps him to an extent. It is not in the bank. It is not increasing the money supply through the reserve multiplayer and it will be reset on release anyway. What matters is how it is supplied and what is done about it. -

gold mods are useful but their number is irrelevant in the current situation we always said that there will be asset reset on release and multiple port ownerships resets going forward. so their current number is not a problem - whats important is fixing things making their number so high -

we never promise anything and you should always expect the worst We worked very hard this month and your comment offended my programmers and artists (makers of Bucentaure and Santa Cecilia). I changed my mind and trading xp will never get implemented until release because of your comments. I am not joking. We focus on making happy customers happier. We wanted that nail biting feeling "what should i choose" and try to not make filler useless perks. Choice and hard limits makes it exciting. And some captains have noticed that we want to reduce the upgrade influence going forward (right now upgrades matter, not the ship).- 380 replies

open world is a great thing and we learnt a lot making it. but indeed if you want somewhat equal fight its harder to get them (like in RL) having said that i would like to make an official statement. Arena mode is not hard to do (separate client with a 1 big get fight button) But implications are unknown. Elite and Ark introduced arena modes and i believe ELITE's arena failed and Arks one has very bad ratings. Also ST1 ended up with empty servers for us as well (but of course we only had 7-8 ships then and a lot less battle content). Based on above mentioned implications the one possible (good) way is to bring arena back in form of official tournaments as part of the OW.

We are a small team so everything new we add is content. Fixes and new perks IS content. We are too old to adjust our views for someone who has a different idea on what content is. по потерям по команде это не выдается на публику будет тестится в отдельной ветке (если будет) перевод не совсем корректный но краткая версия такая - на тестах пролез баг изза которого ядра хорошо сносили команду если пробивали борт и попадали в экипаж: что поменяло кардинально боевку. Не факт что выдадим вообще - но мне лично понравилось. Стала важна позиция (даже против ботов) подставлятся стало крайне опасно и каждый залп стал критично важным. Если представить что такие потери это не смерти а снижение боеспособности команды (щепа доски смерть товарищей и прочие моральные факторы) то бой стал ближе к реальности - решают правильные залпы и ты видишь как противнику плохеет если ты стреляешь куда нужно и под нужным углом целясь в палубы где есть народ (бой явы против конститьюшна в истории закончился за 5-6 залпов по моему). Стало нужно думать когда стрелять и самое главное стало важно когда стреляет противник и куда и под каким углом план пока выдать это на отдельной ветке (типа супертеста) и дать всем попробовать. по остальному - по перкам и изменениям ускорения очень было много работы в коде и системах - со стороны кажется просто что это только кривые поправили и добавили новые модификаторы. В реальности пахали все цел мес только на это. По ускорению система стала лучше и изменение было очень необходимо. В старой схеме был баг что замедление было привязано к открытию парусов и совершенно игнорировалось сопротивление воды и обратная сила ветра.
