Crew is split into several colliders (2 for cutter, 12-14 on first rates) placing it on several decks or parts of the ship. if you killed all crew on top deck you still have to shoot into lower decks to continue killing crew. Grape does full damage if it hits unprotected crew collider (through ports, windows, or through unprotected areas on top deck or quarter deck). Grape damage can be stopped by a broadside planking. If it is 100% grape does not penetrate At 0 % some grape penetrates and delivers full damage But if it hits planking at low angles it does not penetrate even if planking is 0 Grape also does not penetrate at 250m at any planking and does not do any damage to unprotected colliders. Grape damage is universal - meaning it does not matter if you hit a person artery with a small bullet or a large bullet = it will still be a casualty. Grape can become bigger if it hits multiple crew members (for example from stern or bow shots) but it is blocked by any other ship parts, pumps, masts, cannons) Grape mechanics was introduced long before release to provide some consistency with its damage. Previously broadside armor completely limited grape damage which led to very very inconsistent results ranging from 0 crew damage in 10 broadsides to 10-20% crew damage in 1 broadside (if all shots were lucky to get through ports).

FTP? 1000 PCU = 20,000 active monthly users Majority will play for several weeks, level up the ship they want and will move on. 70% user drop off is standard for an industry unless the game is a huge hit, but even for a hit numbers drop off significantly (look at GTA 5 or Fallout)-

We do not know about the merge yet (have not made the decision). American provider had several problems in the last two weeks if this continues - it will force us to merge. Having said that we would like to state that a good number of players play on PVP USA because it is more quiet there. The current patch is going to be large and significant - we do not have resources to allocate for merging anyway. We might provide a mirrored merge (like we did on release) where all assets from the merged server will be provided once on the main PVP ONE server. In the long term we all know that only two servers should remain. After release population will go up first but then will go down and stabilize at around 1000 simultaneous players 6 months after release. So in the long term we only need two servers. PvP (1000 players) and PVE (300-400 players). Patch will be deployed in October. A lot of big changes are getting in and it won't make it in september.-

We plan to add a fleet organization penalty some time in the future. Where each ship added to a fleet will lower overall speed in OW and Instance, to replicate some speed loss due to station keeping requirements. This will not affect pve players or those who need them for pure defensive purpose, but will make them a lot less useful for ganking fast offensive operations. -
Battle sails were used extensively in Sea Trials because they provided a bonus to turning. In real life battle sails were used to control heel and ships never shot to the direction of the wind with full sails due to the fact that burning sparkles and wads could ignite the sails easily. We are reviewing this opportunity.

бесили всех)) + логически дифферент может быть только у корабля у которого есть отсеки у парусников единый трюм и отсеков нет - соотвественно вода заполняет сразу все равномерно

Logs = data = database entries. Unfortunately with the multiplayer game our hands a tied with what we can record and in what amounts. Having a log will force us to cut corners somewhere else. but good idea mate. .thanks for the proposal -

that is a good point Leander ran out of ammo during the fight with Generoux. I think it is an interesting venue to explore. But it will force players to return to ports a lot more. I meant It does not matter when it hits the person. small metal ball hitting the sailor or large metal ball - does not matter. It will be a casualty or death. Grape does not penetrate armor if you have 100% planking it can only pass through ports, windows, or other openings.
