  1. I already do it but why not make it an ingame feature?
  2. It would help by a courses that are not a straight line from A to B. It would therefore help by a course that has different Waypoints. Especially Waypoints that have no viusal reference point. So its actual a tool for navigation without visual landmarks. All whats left as reference there is "time spend" on a certain heading. Ofc my suggestion is a fake feature with f11 coordinates but they are only here for testing and not part of the final game.
  3. Prologe: Current NA Navigation is based on straight lines if not other extern tools are used like Stopwatch, certain extern maps, f11 coordinates (that will vanish with release). But what if i want to sail to a destination that is direct into the wind. Currently we have 2 options stay on course and be slow. Or do it realistic and tack. The 2nd option is lacking some tools in my opinion therefore... Suggestion: Lets introduce the hourglass an ingame Event timer This tool will allow the captain to keep track on time spend on a certain heading and notify the next tack to keep on track. Pros: makes OW navigation easier Cons: more UI stuff
Ansonsten 1 Schiff 1 Leben
  5. And on the way to the next port he could still engage into pvp while on a basic cutter he cant.
  6. DLC ships make basic cutter obsolete
  7. We are doing it already by using elite mods, encyclopedias and 5/5 ships 😉 But ofc thats not the obvious kind of "gank" (secure an easy kill). Its pure skill not elite french rig that makes my masts invincible 😉 We cant have nice things because people would use it to fram pvp marks with their other unique logins aka alts and such a change would make it soooooo easy.
  8. We already have it^^
  9. mods are a meme. xebec without certain mods is nothing
  10. pls say it with a meme
  11. Brits USA and Pirates are almost the same. Pirates have many new players because of Disney pirates, Brits because of most well known naval power, nelson and Jack Aubrey. New players are most of the time laser focused on grinding aka being a carebear. That leads to clashes with more experienced players. US is different but same. Many real US guys join this nation because I mean they are part of this nation already :). New players mean they attract enemy players because it's easy to hunt and kill noobs. So those 3 nation are actual the worst place for a new player - like you figured out by yourself. Best advice I can give (because it looks like you already own the forge paper dlc) try out as many nation as you can. Stay where you like it most. It's EA time for testing.
  12. It makes sense to compare the trunrate to some 5th rates. Not because of their rate because of the ship length. Imagine the gunboat would be as long as the trinc. It would still be a 7th rate because of gun count etc but trunrate would be somewhat equal to the trinc. This is not world of warship or tanks where rates turn accordingly to their br. They turn like that because of physics applied to ship attributes. And trunrate depends on rudder size, ship length, etc. Therefore it makes no sense to compare the le requin to a snow a prince. You would have to look at similar sized vessels by length. And even then it would differ because of the hullshape.
  13. Actual compare her to surprise or renommee. Makes more sense.
  14. I will. For the moment just compare video play time to this video or use a stopwatch. But keep in mind trunrate is influenced by ship length. And she is as long as the surprise and almost as long as trincomalee. So you can't really compare here to other smaller 6th rates.
  15. You should see that manual sailing her makes her turn much better than auto. That battle sails even improve that turn rate. Xebec is the most rewarding ship when sailed manual. Regarding trun rate improvement. But yeah with auto skipper she turns like driftwood. But buffing her turn rate would be wrong when considering her manual capability.
  16. Xebec really doesn't need a turn rate buff
  17. Ingame report number: NAB-81188 Location: Hostility Mission My ship: Basic cutter Description: I joined an ongoing hostility mission that was over in the sec i joined but it still spawned a privateer. So i decided to fight that privateer. As soon I had the side Armor down I couldnt do any structure dmg to the ship. An other player had no issue and was doing structure dmg to the Ai privateer.
  18. A prince can sail away any square ship as well. We did it many times. Try - find your limits sail away. I understand pvp marks are reward but for some players they are not. A ship taken out of the RvR equation can be reward as well. It gives a bigger meaning to a fight more as just a bit of pew pew and I have a bigger ..... A xebec or herc will just appear again out of the void nothing related to the bigger RvR picture. It's actual no loss.
  19. You don't get rewards when xebec decide to sail away after some pounding. Haven't some people complained about that's impossible to chase a xebec? Isn't that equal to basic cutters? You clearly beat him but no kill no reward even tons of repairs were wasted.
  20. Another Teaser... Teaser ....plsss @admin Sun is hot enough don't let us dry out^^
  21. Isn't indefatigable the biggest 5th? Just picked trinc because it seem to be the IT ship. Could have been Essex tho. But many wouldn't call it proper because it has no chaser.^^
