Victuals will spoil, wood will rot, metal will rust, ropes will get brittle, salt will get rock, ... given enough time sitting forgotten in a corner of a warehouse...
They can't. Instance time is 90 minutes. Once time is over they are ejected to the OW in the spot where the battle started.
Do the test, see how far you go 1:1 in 90 minutes.
A good place to do this is La Tortue. Either East or West has close ports to act as landmarks to track how far you can go.
I agree with you but I fear there's technical limitations, inherent to all games, with that option.
But, what i'd love to have is enter port from the battle instance.
Gentlemen, let's stop with requien/youthisyouthat back and forth, c'mon, there's literally dozen of other ships in the game and game simulations affect all.
Yes. Correct.
Very often the boarding was not decisive though, but let's not go that avenue ( some boarding actions lasted well over half a dozen hours and 12 attempts )
I am focused on the gamey part of boarding - preparation, engagement, resolution.
just had the most stupid idea ever
what IF boarding wouldn't be a "to the end" affair ?
what IF boarding would last only 4 turns then "disengage" is automatic ( player can still use prep for disengage in 2 turns, 1 turn for axes )
what IF same ship couldn't be boarded by anyone during 60 seconds after the disengage
i mean... pressure is on the "attacker" so he better take the enemy deck with momentum, force and fast...
shrugs
I think the devs want to test something. Going to pain us ( i do struggle for credible authenticity and it pains me to even play with stuff you guys find fun ) but let's make the most of it.
I know for certain it will not be a piece of cake anymore to rampage with the sloops of war.
Nah, it is "roleplay" man... you know... the kind the populace likes.
"let's all sit in port, pound our chests of how pro we are, shake hands and post random stuff in the national news"
