The Orange Dukes of Willem manipulate everyone around from their safe seat in the south unreachable shores. After all they have been kind enough to themselves and having wars with 1 enemy at a time while all of us, every single one of us, the other nations, had to endure multiple front wars and have some awesome action. ... I wonder if the United Caribbean Nations council would decide to depose their regime... just for the fun of it

Just a notice. Devs posted a while ago the Port Battles changes that are planned. IF you read it carefully you will read that Flags will be obsolete and disappear. Carry on. -

Ah, I misunderstood one thing. You are suggesting this with the present situation in mind and not with a fresh start with everyone back to zero. Still I stand for a hardcore Achievements "ladder" rather than a XP grind rank. Nation bonuses...hmmm.. why not, for everyone but please no bonuses directly related to combat instances.

Let's play the psychological card: - Nation players expect too much of their own Nation and from the other Nations - Pirate players expect just fat loot ( can be bragging rights, gold and jewels, whatever ) It is a fact that whatever changes come to Pirates, the social aspect will always be more important. Interesting fact is that all the Pirate players seem to be having good fun both lone-wolf raider and when they band together. Nation loudmouths just seem to fill Global of negativity, like last night, was pretty hillarious ((( we have a strong contender for a rap battle with Lord Vicious hehehe )))

Any battle is hard to find - only ourselves to blame. I have said this before and many many will conccur - exact same ship the big chunk of players will run from a fight. About stress ( had a big laugh reading that one )... a game is a hobby in my world... A hobby is anti stress activity, what the hell are you talking about ?

Yes. I feel this would be better, especially for testing purposes with high population counts. -
It is known. It is coming. It is not an easy thing to do, to revamp an entire faction ( pirates ) to make it as interesting to play as any other nation. It is really challenging. I guess the Devs have a nice way to work with us and ask what to slot in next on the roadmap - oh ! maybe that's why there is no definite roadmap ?! Some things, like underlying mechanics of combat, etc are always being developed and it is the New mechanics that are polled for us to choose. We come up with interesting ideas they will look them up. We come up with the "same old, same old" whining and complaints, they simply dismiss it and have a fun round of dark humour at us.

WW2OL relied on supplies for planning and timers and zergs did happen all the time. Skillful use of the vehicles, planes, etc, still came into play. I really enjoy the scale of it. Subscription was not a deterrent back in the day. Would kill for such a game again with more emphasis on the simulation side of things. EVE relies heavily on spying and zerg as far as I can tell. Did actually go through 3 test phases and did not touch the game after two week upon launch. ( went over to alpha test other products ). Has decades of development atop of it. Warhammer Age of Reckoning, scaled RvR and really good. For some reason most players say they hate it but they love the stupid grind more than the true pvp action and did not play it that much after they reached top. Still one of the best MMOs given fast to get into, a lot to do at all times. Heroes and Generals. RvR with massive focus on zerg grinding the enemy down through numbers and better equipment. Interesting combat but doesn't require that much more than the original CoD. Did alpha test it since its inception. Cease to play when it went beta with all the dumb down and grind for everything. -

Think of a legal way to forbid anyone of owning several copies of the game and present it. C'mon crew, the big Nations and War and Peace and all the port battles jazz is coming and you go all gloomy. -

Absolutely. Anything that helps the community playing together and with each other ( for better or worse! ) is a plus for any multiplayer game.
