Indeed they do. I tend to save them more often than not, especially the slave ships. I just recently liberated 2 more English skynet slave ships from a over zealous master who thought only about himself and left them behind.

Patch 9.94 - Alliances, New ships, New features.
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
We know that it has nothing to do with combat NOR rules of engagement. That is a good start. So it is pointless to search what it does in relation to anything RoE and Battle. -

Roger that. It does nothing. Do not click it, just ignore it. I do the same with fishing, totally ignore it-

The more noise a Nation makes the more pirates and raiders will flock to their waters. Like sailors splashing and sharks sensing a banquet.

The truth is Swedish are challenging themselves instead of slothing comfortably in their thrones. For a wargame this is priceless and very forward thinking attitude.

Cargo Hold
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to Cmdr RideZ's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
There's no way a snow brig would float three thousand tons of cargo.... C'mon, what's so hard in accepting hard data of ships and records. Just plan your game differently. -
Fleets
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to Ojibwa_Wind's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
All ships must be useful. Taking the extreme that everyone, but pirates, has fleets the simply BR of fore and aft ship choices stands no chance to even pulling anyone into battle. Gladly, so far, that's not the case and it is fairly uncommon. -
Cargo Hold
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to Cmdr RideZ's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Smuggle goods in not hauling four thousand tons. Smuggle good is not stuffing every empty space, including the weather deck with ingots of copper. In 1812 like in a lot of other troop transport operations, such as the ill fated landings on Ireland by the french, the troop transports were full to the rails with landing parties living on deck and barricade canvas being used as canopies during bad weather. A ship is a ship and whether it is a trader or a warship will always depend on how you use the cargo space. Do they take the guns off or not ? Do the gun ports get sealed shut for the entire trip to keep the cargo safe ? ... Pirates is an entire different subject and can tell you outright that one of the most looted type of resources was food, drink, shot and gunpowder. Goodies came second. So, a Trader Snow suddenly becomes a Snow if the cargo hold is full of war supplies, including food and drink for the crew. The same way a Snow becomes a Trader Snow if you remove the guns and all war supplies and seal shut the gun ports. We can go on with this forever... -

Radio KPR is back on the air - and needs your help

What do you need exactly other than music tracks ? -
I will not disagree with that. I also agree that, the same way the age of sail was slow, there's no rush for anything. Personally I plan ahead and spend a week moving ships about. I know it will be impossible to do everything in one or two evenings. So it becomes kind of dumb to agree that everything must be at the reach of a teleport. The character teleport is great. Ships going everywhere at anytime is harder to digest. And if you think about it it is only fair to yer fellow traders which have to sail their "cargo". An admiral cargo is their fleet.

Sorry for the trolling BUT somehow a NA t-shirt with " get SOCIAL" suddenly comes to mind. Oh the irony of multiplayer anti-social games-

Radio KPR is back on the air - and needs your help

Jezzebus guys, use spoilers. Anyway more Muppets needed at sea and instead of slapping across the most epic tunes i'll refer only the appropriate KPR / Red Nation tune. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDqVCLJF5ec -
Patch 9.94 - Alliances, New ships, New features.
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
Let me rewind. Many people do not like the pvp but outcry when pvp catches them - mainly grazing traders. They asked for bigger timers / battles always open, etc. Devs open up an absurd amount of pvp area with great chances of being helped / helping, if the perk is present mind you, and suddenly it becomes too much of a change. As the mechanics affect every ship out there you can't have two measures, one for warships and one for civilian types. I still can't figure out what we, NA players, really want out of OW pvp. Many want duels, others want nothing, others want to be able to slap their nation buddies across the face for being such lazy port sitters, etc. Hard hard. So far IMO, the previous situation was good as it was but the amount of outcry about timers, battle screens and so on warranted a change I guess.-

Patch 9.94 - Alliances, New ships, New features.
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
It was said many times that the cargo values were not final and that adjustments would be made. Only thing left to do is get the warships up to form so they do not become, at any length, a replacement. I was expecting this change with great anticipation. Get ready for much more changes into the comfort zone.-

Amount of votes from both counts and the grid doesn't display the difference. For example, Dutch vs Spain. Despite the efforts of the green party of the Spanish Empire the red party of the United Provinces still has the lead which renders the outcome as war as opposite to peace, that's how I am reading all of that. The same way, and looking to both ways, Sweden and Denmark are okay with each other and the green on green results in peace.

Patch 9.94 - Alliances, New ships, New features.

Is it just me that finds the wording of that perk very witty ? Social. Devs are really pushing the boundaries to force people to be social and actually making them go out and actually HELP each other out with the 30 minute timer. Just had to laugh.-
