  5. Correct. But remember that redeemable Rear Admiral rank doesn't account for the knowledge whereas if it is a newcomer "grinding" it goes hand in hand. Still can be eased a bit.

  9. Funny thing is the more population there is the more viable a hardcore option is as there are more options to steal what has been stolen, to sink and to get sunk. Low population recovery makes hardcore harder due to lack of targets so yeah... just sweep and go. After a while everything looks the same and all traders are alts. Gank or no gank this is the raw truth.

  11. So, if I am in a Pickle schooner and get attacked by a Belle Poule. Is that a gank ? If a LGV is attacked by a Cherubim and a Lynx joins, who is ganking who ? Equal matches can be fun but lack memorable stories.

  13. Specific tasks gave way to specific ship designs during the age of sail and culminated, well, with the classes we have today, give or take away extra class due to airpower. Hence a raider will go in, attack where it hurts ( usually the pockets, but in game it has no global sense, just individual ) and disappear as fast as it can.
  14. So no excitement of the chase or the rush of the escape, the glory of beating the odds nor the respect gained if beaten while having the odds, no more exhilaration while escorting a trader during a raid, or trying to take a prize back to safe haven ? Gotcha.

  17. I mean any region, with the maximum entities in play AI and PChar ( groups stay together) and once it hits the top it creates another copy for more slots, and so on. If it is possible considering how NA is built and considering the upgrade to 5.

  19. I think the papers were temporary and that switch is planned in a different way ? Also, during this stage, sure, would be nice to see population migration at least to have a barometer reading on why people change, majority. It is fun to switch nations with every huge update.
  20. Heavier ships won't have the closure rate hence the prolonged timer will simply shift early advantage to the fast ship anyway, won't change a thing Would be like flying a bird which not so good of a climber trying to chase a zoomer... will never ever work.
  21. ... a full region ? Asking if technically it is possible. Multiple instances of a entire region to accommodate several maximum numbers of entities in real time environments.
  22. Yep, 5 seconds tag timer. 90 seconds join timer. Just for fairness sake, wherever in the world the encounter might be. "Protected waters reach as far as the guns"
