Combat Tutorial and Admiralty Exams are, in my point of view, the road to rank up, receive rewards ( including ship ) to progress into being a active and world changing master and commander in the Caribbean server. Still, battles open for 3 minutes only if there's a need to do them, but the same effect can be done with attack AI ships in front of home ports inside the zone, where is safer ?!... I'm wondering what changes will definitely hit the Pacific server ( pve ) but the cancellation of missions surely doesn't affect anything.

Thank you. Tutorial especially will be a good comeback after own hardwipe to test it. Map UI has a sense of belonging, I applaud the UG/wargame look approach rather than a "too much nautical" charts feel. Thumbs up. The Fragata Negra is a great addition for a privateer like myself . Interesting choice, honestly surprised. The whole mechanics tweaks look good in the overall scheme. Let's see how they work out.

Many players look to a age of sail MMO that provides the best proto-realistic combat instances. Each players' opinions and suggestions are valid. He did pick the right game. o7 -
Need a proper non-player-ruled Admiralty issuing orders and having the Aubrey's travel to the far side of the world to chase that enemy player in a more powerful frigate. Anything else is "duels at sundown" without the duels.

Each captain is the Navy Board, the Merchantile Navy, the Admiralty and the Navy on its own. Ranks are all given by meaningless actions and are granted to be on full release without the need to go through the navy academy exams. Meaningful dynamic pvp wargame... is meaningless. It has its appeal, for the pure combat. That's all. No simulation of CinC, resources, tactical level and even strategical level, just dogfight awesomesauce. Each captain is a fortress, needs no one, a doctrine of SP ruling the MP in a nutshell. -
Sir, it comes to mind all the time and everytime I press Play and set Sail. I play for the age of sail experience. But alas, not everyone does... The pureness of combat as being the sole experience seems to be enough for a vast majority, which opinions, other than my own, you can find in a multitude of threads across the forum, without second thoughts on the "life of the character". In sum, I agree in the "sense of presence" of the type of historical figure we represent in game.

Depends what Navy you want to "impersonate". Most blatant example would be Nelson at Trafalgar in open view of french musketry, and with predictable results. To a point RN captains were expected to face the odds and show bravery as befitting their station, even facing twice the amount of cannon. But... if not a cpatain cut for greatness... then yes... I guess saving their own skin was often more important than everything else. I think most players fit the second option more than the first already albeit we are here to fight heroically.

I do not understand what you trying to say, sorry. No. There's plenty of different approaches in different games in the market. So take your pick. Players are free to chose whatever games they want. But NA dev team gave us a chance to participate actively and shape the orientation of the game as a community not as individuals. -

Indiana, every early access I purchase, every project I kickstart I know it is not a finished game until it is. I have no idea what other customers think and I am sure developers can't be wizards that guess that players do not understand that development can make U turns everytime. NA is not unique in that regard I can tell you and if you are a avid supporter of new studios with great game ideas then you know this very well. Do not buy into development if you expect a release. End of the stick. Plenty of them, the ones I invested in, I left until they are finished and some of them are still in development, 3 years in excess of NA... and making U turns now and then. -

Can you repeat 90% three times three ?... Do not for once try to claim that subscription based is not worth it and that it is a F2P. Free to try, by all means. This is Naval Action, not Eve. Is one time buy. 100% -

I don't remember you using that hat, but I distinctly remember myself not wanting to move an inch. So no idea who took the photo
