Then be prepared to lose then. The days when trader ships were faster than than your average warship fully loaded are gone and It's great.

Trader ships are still too fast IMO. They're meant to be slow and bulky, bring an escort next time. It's obvious that this is no longer a solo players game.

PVP for me means the thrill of the chase and the hunt. Potentially losing your ship anytime you venture out of home waters. ROE rules that are fair to BOTH the attacker and the defender. More importantly, feeling like my time is not wasted

I don't disagree on the usage. Frankly I think it's bullshit that a captain can risk nothing in a free basic cutter and potentially firebomb an ocean which costs maybe a million + god knows how much effort, marks and collecting mats....it's honestly game breaking for me. Sure @admin says there are tactics to avoid such bombcutters, but it really really really needs to be fixed through development methods rather than being out sailed. The fact that it hasn't and it seems is encouraged is rather shocking. Fireships were a legit tactic in history, but they weren't free and they came at considerable risk to the captains of put them into position and nearby ships. I also think the captains who do resort to such tactics are bad hombres and I personally wouldn't use them or allow my clan to do so. I was simply responding that admin's comments on the matter (basic cutters) have been fair and consistent, even if most don't agree. As one of the more vocal opponents of some of his choices and been on the receiving end of some unfair decisions (IMO), I can at least see when he's trying to rule the realm with a fair hand. "Allahu Akbar" might not be the best choice of words given the recent evens of the past month or so however.....

Seems like admin is being fair all around buddy. Get over it. Cutterbombs were legit when used against GB and they are now legit when used by them. The honor of using such is of course up to each captain.

I read a few of those reviews and while I did see one or 2 mentions over the SORRY debacle, it did see that the majority of the reviews seem to be echoing the general sentiment of this game went from being fun to being a second job. The notion that SORRY is responsible entirely for the down turn in negative reviews is recently is simply just being naive. There are a lot of unhappy people out there with the current state of the game and it seems both servers are starting to see a down tick in players. I"m personally all for an effort to increase reviews for a possible summer sale. I personally will hold off on mine until this thread/post gets an answer.

I can't even decipher what this dummy is trying to say. Is he calling all of us "gay?". I've gotten used to trying to figure out what some of our fellow captains from other countries where they don't primarily speak english are trying to say on here, KoC also....., but this one takes the cake. I would hope an esteemed member of the RDNN clan and a former (maybe still) D-K diplomat would more of a higher class individual than to call us all homos. Perhaps not. What a bad hombre! I am also having crashing issues.

@admin brought up a few issues he was seeing with the game, reviews and retention a couple weeks ago. My response I feel was an adequate reply to the questions he asked. I have yet to get a reply in return. As I said in that post, I probably did waste my time. Admin's question to Otto about SORRY and their reviews perfectly sums up this situation for me. While I certainly do not support anyone making death threats to the devs or in-game mods, the 20 or so negative reviews that are supposed to be by only SORRY members alone are just the recent crop of bad reviews. They've been progressively getting worse and worse over the past year or so. Blaming one clan of people is naive and shows a total lack of understanding as to why there are so many negative reviews. Head in sand. The first week of the patch I was kinda excited seeing so many people back and the effects of the actual grind seemed to escape me. Now we're into week 2+ and I'm already starting to feel that lack of desire to do the sheer amount of effort it takes to make this absurd economy work and the even more absurd ship knowledge tree grind.

If you want to gmail it over I can host/get it to the admin.

So I was just looking over what is needed to craft the first rates and it seems coins are no longer necessary. Other than selling to the NPCs, do they have any other purpose? How about letting us melt them down into ingots? Maybe do the same thing with cannons, all I seem to get off NPCs are 6lb mediums. Maybe melt them down for iron ore/ingots.
