"We want fights!" - Sets port battle for 1am Monday morning.....
-
You do a lot of barking Bobby, but not a lot of biting. I've sailed from one corner of the nation to the other defending ports, gotten up at 6am with the Aussies for attacks and just recently sailed down to the Carta area for a port battle to defend a region where predominantly 1 clan calls home that couldn't even send more than 1 player to defend the territory next to it. I was even willing to hop right back into that aggie and sail another 2 hours and stay up to 3 am to defend another port. You were getting your beauty sleep. Obviously they don't care enough to show up, why should I. I'll commit to helping clans that reciprocate. VCO and TF will no longer be defending the Cartagena area. Good luck.
-
Welp, so much for 1 full day of national unity. VCO showed up to defend your region that you and your clan refuses to abandon knowing full well we cannot hold it indefinitely. VCO showed up and dropped 6 aggies defending your little PVE wonderland when all your clan could muster was 1 person. We didn't receive so much as a thanks or a single offer to replace the ships that were lost. Now you have the stones to bad mouth us on the forums here? Screw that. I've made attempts to mend fences inside the brit nation, in particular a couple hours last night agreeing to defend ports outside of the best interest of the nation to pacify clans that do not contribute. Cartagena will no longer be protected by VCO, have at it pirates and french.
-
this thread is interesting. Brits will discuss internally and get back to @koltes over the weekend.
-
Isla has only been fought once. The US has had 2 fully contested PB loses to the pirates, 1 to GB. Isla, West End and Soto respectively. Savannah was a no show by the US and everyone knows what happened there. GB has had 1 full contested PB win against the US and 1 fully contested PB loss against the pirates.
-
You took undefended ports. Congrats. The only fully contested win this nation has was Soto which was orchestrated by VCO/TF and a good collection of other clans. After that first week in the gulf working together and the first PaP AUSEZ and ARMED involvement within the nation vanished. We were told you guys had multiple first rates and fleets Never did see them in action. Who you guys kidding. The going got tough and you guys go going. AUSEZ has always beena nation flipping clan. King of Crowns and his guys forced you out, it's ok to admit it. Good luck farming fleets with the Danes.
-
There aren't many of them left, they just kinda fizzled out. For a clan that advertises "War is our business model" they sure didn't do a whole lot of it. I don't think more than a handful of them showed up to any contested PB. Those that remain just want to fleet in peace and jump on the sinking of brit pubs train that most nations are enjoying. Remember they're real fighters... This is incorrect. AUSEZ refused to basically do anything the brit council discussed in the meetings. They were a large proponent of saying screw the council. Plan an attack for sat night? They'll start doing it on thurs because they want "biff"
-
I dislike discussing the inner workings of a nation here on the forums, so I'll be brief. First step in a GB recovery is to get ALL of the clans, major ones at least, up and running on the GB TS and in the GB Clan Council. Currently we don't have support from RED, ELITE (your clan), WIN and several others. To quote a favorite show of mine, decisions are made by those who show up. Show up to the meetings and show up to the PBs. We have 3 main problems within the nation - Uneven populations due to time zones. Clan participation and willingness to fight Distribution of the population. we have too much of the nation spread out. ------------- Some steps were made this evening towards some of those things, but clans refuse to hang on to territory we don't need. If you want to change things Norfolk get your clan into the council and involved within the nation. Chasing pirates outside KPR does not mean you're involved. Also AUSEZ is no longer a GB clan. Majority of their senior members have jumped off the titanic and sailing their lifeboats into chinese waters.
-
Right now pirates are the Zerg nation.
-
Unfortunately the QQ Crews need to dig their heads out of the sand at KPR and Cartagena. Back when we were fighting empty port battles we had to rush to get in before the other 30 who showed up that didn't grind filled the battle. Now that we have live enemies to shoot at the desire to fight seems to be remarkably less. My guys will continue to be at the port battles, but we can't fight them alone. The change in conquest mechanics is also partially to blame...conquest marks per port was a pretty good incentive to make folks show up. Now that they got their vics they can just farm fleets in peace until the french come knocking at their doors. Who needs victory points right?

I'll volunteer to stream, moderate and spreadsheet the shit out of another duel tourney for you guys.

If awards are given out, transparency for all is the best course to take. It will prevent future issues that always seem to crop up with the murky waters of alt usage. -
I'm glad you tested it before I did....My 200 or so would of ended up the same.

Good idea. @Ink @admin Now that leader boards are a thing again, and the inevitable question of alt farming will arise, the Clerk should report which enemy player was sunk, just to keep everyone honest. -
Port Battle Outlaw Battle Exploit global Server
Christendom replied to BallsOfSteel's topic in Tribunal - Трибунал
Oh look, more mechanics abuse. If RVR between nations is to be equal, then using this to hide your ships in battle is an unfair advantage to the pirates since other nations do not have access or this needs to be a bannable offense. The pirates will most likely either sit by the join areas and demolish anyone joining with 20+ first rates or simply kite for 30mins making it impossible for anyone joining after them to catch up and tag. Hiding in battle to avoid screening fights was not the intended purpose of the outlaw battles. This clan has already been caught hiding in battle with the use of a pirate alt before. -
[PvP Global] Political Situation and Port Battles
Christendom replied to Teutonic's topic in Caribbean News
My perspective. Not a very good showing on our part. Ultimately the fight was lost about 15mins in when we had a couple players too far out to the right and just inexplicably sail into the pirate fleet. I should of had us turn into and help, but hindsight of course. @Coraline Vodka did a good breakdown with images here. https://imgur.com/a/nNGnG once those 2 players were lost right off the bat the brawl was over. Props to the pirates for the smashing in the battle. The french player (i hope) they used to hide in battle before the power however......I guess that's par for the course. Highlight of the battle was bailing a Brit captain stuck in irons and about to get stern raked at 42:22 by using the ole ramming maneuver. -
ah right Beer Can forgot him.

Actually you had 2 brigs in that battle. The fact that one of them was actually crafted amuses me. I'm not exactly sure where Thomas came by the info that you guys jumped into port battles that you didn't grind up, but that is not correct. Technically you didn't participate in any of the port battles really, other than west end (to poor results). None of the PBs in the gulf did IGG participate in and you simply left the grinding and the mark production to the other clans. Which is why you were a non-factor on the RVR front. Which is fine, but for a clan that doesn't participate...you sure had a lot of opinions on how others should. Thomas was however correct in regards to your attitude and participation within the nation. Ultimately this doesn't matter, IGG is gone from the US and the nation is better because of it. Your personal beef with lionshaft was a detriment. We're gone as well, so who really cares. There was talk in the nation that you guys were basically pirate spies/alts/lovers or whatever. Your move over there seemed rather inevitable. Enjoy it.
-
You are a bit of a whiner aren't you. alt of an alt of an alt of an alt.......its like alt inception with you. BTW you've lost 3 4th rates to us. We all know wishlist is your alt. He donated an aggie a little while ago. When you donated your 1st connie to the war effort I let you take down most of my armor so the rest of the crew could catch up and take down your sails. I was in a fir/cedar indiaman after all. Then when I started boarding you, you demonstrated a utter lack of boarding mechanics...which is odd for someone who has been playing as long as you. Don't blame VCO for your dumbass charging out of Islamorada once you saw me in an indiaman. Much shame. As for your PVP marks, everyone and their brother knows you were farming away on Wishlist and Coke Bottle for a couple weeks until the mark change happened. I've seen the screenshots. Just like we caught you escorting Coke Bottle and Wishlist into a US port battle (when they were still US characters) to farm marks. Such a bad hombre you are. I look forward to your next 4th rate donation to VCO. We prefer live oak/white oak FYI. Those white oak/white oak ships you keep crafting on coke bottle are kinda weak.

A screenshot of the comment on youtube and of course the comment on the forums https://gyazo.com/2ab77105e7ff11149d9524cb91ab9619 I'm sure @Ink and @admin will want to corroborate, but this seems to put the matter of "alt" meddling to rest. Given the other information posted in here about how Captain Ranger backed off once it was explained to him what he was doing....seems like this was just a newbie player trying to help out and not understanding the gravity of the situation. I suggest the BLACK clan think upon their own sins of the past week, stop pointing fingers and work within their nation to improve their counter screening (it was horrendous) and inter-clan relations. Looks like his clan is already receiving flak from this past friday's activities and probably getting ganked right and left. Very shameful. I believe an apology is order by @Duncan McFail and @Sir Texas Sir for potentially abusing a new player and somehow suggesting that the screening tactics this weekend were foul play and griefing. @amplify is a master at his craft and I suggest you take notes before pointing fingers next time.
-
This gave me a good chuckle. Screening is griefing and tagging in an alt and hiding in battle screen for an hour is perfectly fine. You guys crack me up. Screening is and should always be a national effort. Port battles need to involve more than just 25v25. Next time do a better job counter screening, the effort you guys put into it was piss poor.
