  1. I'm not keen on doing the admin's job for him nor am I keen to grind up more slots, money and resources on a server that is sinking a little slower than our current one. @admin could very easily code in an option to sync both your grind and character XP on both servers, or give folks a transfer option.
  2. Good ole Joba. Always trying to pin his shortcomings on me. Nice try fellas
  3. Heres Jobaset actually copy pasting directly from NAspy to the forums. What I get kicks from is it actually highlights persons of interest within the nations they'd like to track. Myself being one of them. The lengths some will go to get a leg up in video games is disgusting. Frankly using a program like this should be a banable offense
  4. They don't want fights they could potentially lose. This is why they night flip at 2am, odds are better when they defend.
  5. The alts get reported, nothing happens.
  6. @admin The game needs more stuff to do. Raids, bounties, random world events.....anything. You keep trying to come up with different ways to cook chicken, we're tired of chicken. Give us something different to eat. you need to either let this game become a true sandbox, one server no restrictions OR start proving developer generated content. You try to do a little of both and it ain't working.
  7. short term - the servers need to be merged to provide content for the 600-700 folks that remain. long term - game really needs to be re-focused as to what works. Come up with a new system that will allow players to play within their timezones for RVR but still throw everyone in one big pot (server) until release or the population levels necessitate multiples. Bring back flags with a few twists or something like that. I think the importance of RVR needs to secondary to the rest of the game. 20% of the population plays RVR, stop catering ONLY to those groups. As for global, we have too many nations and not enough players to fill them. If some of you remember back in our "global summit" I suggested that we try to focus as many players into 4 nation blocks as possible to provide enough content for everyone. This of course didn't happen and we now have populations where nations cannot RVR. France barely has enough, Danes appear to have enough.....but their only time zone counterparts inexplicably joined them instead of fighting them, the pirates are super strong, the US has the numbers but zero organization and the Brits kinda have enough, though only at certain times. I still maintain that for the server to right itself, players need to move over to some of the larger ones and help supplement themselves into the RVR fleets. For example if one of the french clans went to the US or Brits with 10 guys in the EST time zone they would instantly change that nation for the better and then that nation would be able to challenge BLACK and the pirates. This is of course if people deem RVR still worthwhile and I'm not sure it is. But lets also address the elephant in the room. BLACK has probably caused more people to leave this server than the devs and the insane grind. They bully other nations, take ports nations can't possibly defend right next to their capitals and camped their noobs and commerce mercilessly. I mentioned this earlier today to @admin, but I was speaking to a PARF member last night in the US about their situation. If you're not familiar, PARF is a newer US clan that was started by that fairly popular streamer Pixie during the steam summer sale. They got a decent amount of numbers and were all mostly new players just starting out. Unfortunately they and the rest of the US lost Savannah previously and have had their noobs getting jumped in missions and their econ basically destroyed all because of BLACK clans insistence on having Savannah. This PARF member pretty much told me that the clan is dead, the streamer Pixie quit a couple weeks ago and there are only a couple left. Most of them found doing econ and grinding too difficult right outside their capital. It's honestly a shame. I blame the devs for not providing enough protection for new players and of course BLACK for basically seal clubbing the shit out of a nation that needed to rebuild. PARF clan actually orchestrated a shallows battle at West End a month back and because they "flipped" a pirate port the pirates decided to just up and take Bermuda from them as punishment.
  8. After having let RVR be a secondary priority and not worrying about ports has made the game 10x more enjoyable than it was a month ago. I'm not convinced an RVR system is really needed to enjoy this game.
  9. The problem @admin is we needed this solution at the start of the wipe...or before that. Population numbers are down and port battles aren't happening. This change doesn't matter anymore. We need a way to bring life back into the game and this small change won't do it. Most nations don't even have 5 clans, let alone 15.....that play RVR. People were hopeful for the War Companies idea because it was a NEW system. Not a revision to an old one that doesn't work. This game is desperately in need of something NEW, not more of the same. We fight over the same old ports in the same old ships and still have to grind NPCs to create content. It's boring. Give us something we haven't seen before. Like raids for example.....
  10. That's what you get for being a team player. NOTHING. next time bring a 15kt bellona you noob!
  11. Sounds like we need to merge the servers and keep what small population we do have, active and engaged
  12. Work happens. I can't make all of them myself either. I'm talking about the guys who haven't showed up to 1 hostility grind or 1 contested port battle, despite having them be at all different times of the day and week. Trimming the fat buddy. So whats this third nation I ruined? I love being lectured by folks who don't play or don't matter.
  13. Legends will be a huge hit because this game is almost unplayable and those that are sticking around will soon enough be too few with a population of 800 spread out over 3 servers. You gotta do something to keep the rest of us playing. To fix the newbie population, create capital areas that are larger and have ALL of the resources necessary to create basic ships. Make the green zone huge and make any battle in the area stay open indefinitely. Have AI fleets that are smaller but will actively chase enemy players out past the "green" zone". Make it a true home waters experience. Frankly the game experience before the fine woods patch was still the best IMO. Available resources everywhere, teleporting around to various places, active PVP and RVR everywhere and more players. Bring back that experience with some tweaks and throw in some more wood types, ditch some of the current mods and we're good to go. It's not hard.
  14. Step 1. Give gold and XP/Slot XP for ships that are also capped. Players should not have to choose between getting XP and the ship. This is perhaps one of the most negative changes you made to PVP. Step 2. Rewards. the problem in the past was that you gave rewards to pvp that affected RVR. Special ship blueprints and stuff. PVP rewards should only be cosmetic. Ship paints, special pennants...ship names.....stuff like that. Give them special titles like World of Warcraft has. Cosmetic rewards stroke PVPers egos, we love that stuff. Step 3. PVP zone wasn't a bad idea, but to implement it you would need teleports. Also shouldn't give out BPs for the chests. It also turns into a 6v6 large ship gank fest. The location also realy needs to be random. Step 4. Server merge. PVP needs to happen at all times of the day.
  15. if you've been paying attention recently a decent sized amount of US players joined the game and created that clan PARF, they followed that one streamer PIxie (i think). They had a decent sized clan of 20+ players and were thriving for a couple of weeks. I talked to one of their members yesterday and he told me that most of them, including the streamer guy Pixie, had quit. Basically it was too difficult for them to play with the pirates owning a port just south of them. Savannah. They said they could not do any econ to build ships without getting ganked 24/7 and were having a very difficult time grinding up mission XP outside of CT because it was camped 24/7. BLACK clan took this region for the explicit purpose of hunting down players outside of CT and have farmed them mercilessly over the past month or 2. This is the new player experience. It needs to change.
  16. tsk tsk. We both know that's not true. Actually trying to grape down a santi and an indefat while having both sides of my poor pirate frigate at 70% gone was an impressive feat of sailing my friend. Don't lie. I was however surprised to see you come out during the revenge fleets after we got that santi, all 25 of you. I thought all you guys did was farm fleets, flip empty ports, hide from King of Crowns and read everyone's nation chat on NAspy. Who knew!
  17. The US has/had a large enough population to conduct RVR and still does. GB did not have a large enough fleet during the US time zones and we switched over to join up with some of our PVP1 friends. The nation didn't really matter, but they were all in the brits. It's a good thing that we did go GB because the 2 clans that switched over from the US are now 2 of the largest contributors to the main GB RVR fleet. Looks like our nation transfer actually balanced the server out. You can thank us later :-) Anyway, think past the 2ft in front of your nose and realize that this game is too small for multiple servers. A merge must happen to keep it going. What do you say @admin?
  18. yup. without the US based players to burn at the stake these guys sure tore themselves apart. 1200 population down to 500, France dead....Spain dead....Good work fellas! It's funny how global has experienced the same level of difficulty with the new changes and we didn't lose 50% of our population after 2 months.
  19. oh look, another BLACK clan trying to improve the game while being apart of a clan that probably has caused more people to quit global than the devs.
  20. Not to mention that 2 nations refused to fight and ganged up on France.....and made an entire nation quit. But yea lets blame mechanics.
  21. @admin The size and scope of this game is too large for it's current population levels. These numbers are very similar to what you had before the wipe, this is the size of your testing base. It's not gonna get better until drastic changes to the game take place. What needs to be done in the meantime: - merge the servers. more players = more content. - Map is too large for so few players. Merge in PVE and make a "Neutral area" as you discussed months ago. - Too many nations. this player base, split between 2 servers....cannot field enough players in all 8 of the nations to make them viable. Some need to be cut or removed until launch. - Raids OR something new. We need something new to do that isn't a rehash of the same old stuff. Desperately.
  22. Have the MMOs you played with multiple servers have an active population of fewer than 1000 people (being generous) daily? This game is too small for the size of it's map and multiple severs.
  23. Planning on breaking more agreements?
  24. Yep. These guys constantly make posts about making the game better, but still continue to bully every nation on global and threaten to 1 port everyone as punishment for sinking their noobs they refuse to protect. The US generated a couple port battles to create content and then these guys punished them by attacking 2 ports they couldn't hope to defend. This talking out of both sides of the mouth crap gets old. these bad hombres need to start practicing what they preach or just finally accept they are the sole reason why pvp global RVR is dead.
