She was re-armed and classified as a sixth-rate frigate. Edit: I've just been told that this model was not actually the true Surprise. Ah welp, but I guess you got my idea
  6. I've been wondering why this feature hasn't been implemented yet - Surely I'm not the first to come up with the idea. But anyway: What about a new tab in ports, called Ship Contracts, where players can essentially put up a contract with a desired build, at a certain price - If a ship crafter feels like the offered amount of gold is reasonable, they got a deal - MUCH better than crafters having to craft out-of-the-blue and guess what players might like. Supply-and-Demand balance could then possibly also make ships cheaper. Once the contract has been taken, a crafter should have about 2 hours to complete the order and deliver the ship. If he doesn't, the contract will be available again for others. This is more or less how I'd imagine it to look like:

  8. would be next to impossible to determine the amount of repair units needed for each different ship (different builds affected) - So I think 2 of each repairs should be plenty - thats about 45min Cooldown time - if a team sees an enemy player repair, they could drop off a quick message in chat so we won't miss it (shouldnt happen anyway) Everything allowed - boarding aswell I know last tournament there was a "I'm Out, dont shoot me" rule - But I didnt really like that one, a tournaments battles should be fought til the end
  9. Up to the teams - ship Towing should make agreeing on a place much more easy - we refs will work out a way so one of us can be there im sure T-lynx is good. But if you dont have one handy it can also be another small ship

Reminder: Every team is going to fight every other team in their group once - so there will be 3 battles each team has to fight. You are given 3 weeks to fulfill your 3 groupstage battles - Until Sat., December 2nd, 22:00 ServerTime all battles must have been absolved. - There is no strict schedule for each battle, as this would most likely be impossible to plan - arrange each battle on a set date beforehand, where every participant (and a ref.) can take part. This means you have to communicate with the other teams in your group and agree on a battle date and place. 3 Weeks should be plenty for 3 battles. Please do NOT share your battle location and date in public - PM one of the judges @Christendom, @Cornelis Tromp, @rediii, @Liq at least 48 hours before a battle with a desired date, and we will then work out if the proposal works out for one of the refs. This should be more or less okay for both parties. (Next time, those kind of rules will be set from beginning.) Ref will keep track of the repairs used by flying around using the freecam / Map If you use more than the repairs allowed, your team will get NO points forthe current battle, and will be warned - on the second offense, your team will LOSE a point on the leaderbaord. Pirate accounts to create an outlawbattle which both teams (if from the same nation, or if one team has members from different nations) will be provided. As every team has now confirmed, the Rules and BR list are now final: Rules BR List
  12. ahh alright However this sounds quite abusable by alts. But yeah, that could work I guess. And those PvE marked players are still sailing on the same open world and can collect information etc. Seems tricky.
  13. please no pvp-flag on a pvp server - you shouldnt be able to dictate when you're ready to get engaged - ganking is part of an MMO, especially on an age of sail MMO Safezones should be enough protection and recovery area

In order to join a PB you already have to be in a clan and on the friendlist of other clans - so clans will inform players on how it works I say we need diversity - 25 v 25 vic is nor realistic nor does it serve for different possibities of engagements As for the 5th rate experience - of course you are not supposed to go linefighting with a Santisima - but to be a support to your firepower tanks and try to be as much of a pain in the ass for enemy lineships or take out hostile frigs trying to do the same to you
  17. Hmh not sure id agree on that. But yah as teutonic said above, its about limiting the BR and not amount of ships. So you can either get a well mixed fleet in or go for med-bigger ships if you dont have the players
  18. So youd want the devs to remove the 25 v 25 cap (if it was possible) so anyone who is at the PB can join? 50 v 25 etc.?
  19. Not ALL pbs have to be 10 v 10 - some great wars between smaller clans could happen in their pbs - and let the "big" rvr forces have their fun in 25 v 25
  20. There already is a game mechanic limiting it to 25 per side even though there often are way more captains outside the port ready to join action. So basically its not something completely new but a suggestion to adjust something, so that smaller clans can also get their slice of port battles.
  21. merge with limits, so that global server is gone, wont happen, pretty sure But what could happen is maybe a char. transfer. But idk if thats possible from the coding aspect - I think admin said the two servers operate individually
  22. Could use one or two more referees / judges (each battle needs to at least have 1 of them in them) which are able to stream and record. PM me if you're interested. (Can also be a participant of the tournament, as long as its not one of your battles of course )

  25. Given there are only 2 teams missing that need to confirm i'll shorten the voting deadline to this friday instead (22:00 servertime) - And will then only count the votes of the players actually participating (we can see who voted for which option)
