  1. That's so great! That's what I wanted to hear Btw, will the weight of the cannons be reflected on the ship's speed and how deep the hull goes underwater? Best Regards.
  2. I really don't venture much into the Russian forums due to language barriers. But I'll search for it Thanks for the information.
  3. Indeed Ampen, in reality, not all ships were made from the same quality resources. That would be a nice touch to the game!
  4. I was wondering about cannon customization. Back then, not all ships of the same class carried the same kind of armament, some ships took long range cannons, others took carronades and 16lb cannons. It depended mostly on cease fire periods, war time, the purpose of the ship, etc. In my opinion, enabling armament customization, between certain parameters for balancing purposes, would add to the gameplay. Unlike Potbs, you cannot be sure what you will face, since every player can have a different setup. This would add variety to the game! Have a good day. P.S: Keep up the great work devs!
  5. I agree with you ChristianLove, that way there's a demand for intepreters, it would add a good chunk of immersion. It's also one of the best ways to welcome as many people as possible!
  6. Could you share more about the place's age of sail history? You got me interested!
  7. That idea makes sense, having an increased bounty when you left no survivors seems pretty dumb to me. Unless they lay out a message in a bottle I always missed a system like this in Potbs! Suggest that idea on the suggestion forums
  8. Eh, it reminds me back to Sea Dogs 2! When you're low on supplies, tired from a huge storm and battling and the crew going into disorder, you must dock! Sometimes the closest port is an enemy port, when I get there the fort sinks me Good times
  9. Indeed, it's too early to know. I'm speculating about the privateering part, but the fact is, by what I have read on the pirate thread, it looks like there will be no Pirate nations, but rogue captains that belong to a nation.
  10. I never played Star Trek Online but my research shows that a similar system for Naval Action could work well! Although not every ship will have its own cabin model in my opinion. It would take up a lot of developing time and artist manpower that could be better used somewhere else. I'm all for roleplaying in a good looking game like this one, cant wait for the avatar development!
  11. Eheh, glad I could help you And if a player fancies a rogue like playstyle, just attack everything on sight and enjoy a huge bounty
  12. Hey there Ted Blackwell, if you allow the short name. There are no skill trees, classes and from what I've read, no pirate nation. It will be privateering by the looks of it. Hope this clears up some doubts
  13. I agree with you! Cabin access would give such a bump in roleplay! It would be incredibly awesome if several players could meet on each others ships, for planning purposes.
  14. Happy new year for you too! I hope that the team has enough funds to keep producing this piece of art that is Naval Action! That picture really shows how beautiful the scenery can be, if made correctly! Keep up the awesome work!
  15. I totally agree with you! It's very frustating when a company doesn't listen to their customers...
  16. Glad to hear that! I'll be waiting and (hopefully) be accepted.
  17. Oh that's SO cool! I wish I could see it, that GIF doesn't shows the deck a lot, it makes me drool in antecipation!
  18. Hello Game-Labs! I came up with a suggestion, 1st person camera mode. One thing that many people would like is to sail a 1st rate in 1st person view! The sheer size of the ship, plus all the weaponry is a very cool sight, even cooler during a storm or battle, with splinters and powder smoke flying everywhere! It doesn't has to be too advanced, something of the sort that Potbs has. There, the camera zooms in to the maximum, revealing a deck view that allowed for some cool moments despite the bad playability. Or you can focus on the Assassin's Creed Black Flag's style. With much more detail, functionality and action that Potbs one. I would so enjoy the deck view on the current available ship models, they are astounding!
  19. Well, the Nvidia team needs to play Naval Action and fiddle around with the definitions. So far only a few people managed to be testers. Geforce Experience won't work with Naval Action until it is released. So that the NDA can be lifted.
  20. Here's a quote from a FAQ And here's the FAQ link: http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/faq Hope this helps
  21. Yeah +1 for your suggestion! What I really don't want to see it's a ship of the line having its lower deck completely submersed due to the waves like Potbs shows. If that happened in real life, the ship wouldn't sail for a long time, and the crewmen that were down there would drown... But that's another topic. I really hope I can see the hull properly, it's a piece of art!
  22. Hmm, when I tried the ultra low settings on my desktop it looked cool, perhaps due to my old 1600x900 monitor I guess. Hmm, looks like Naval Action already runs ok, but your card isn't a weak one. It has the raw power. I can't say anything else since I really don't know much about the subject. (Not a tester) Thanks for the link! It cleared up some doubts I had!
  23. Hmm, something like what Potbs has? Not as visible though.
  24. Hello Game-Labs. I know that optimization is something that is on the very bottom of the priority list. This is in Alpha stage. I know. I can't stress enough how important is the optimization, it allows people who can't own rigs that pack the latest I7 core and a GTX Titan SLI to play flawlessly Naval Action. It allows a game to be played by more people, to buy more stuff from real world money and to help to improve the game overall. My suggestion (for the future) is to look at Gaijin's War Thunder and how optimized it is. Hell, even the ultra low graphics look really decent! Any dual core processor can run the game at maximum settings at 60fps and a 70 euro graphics card can run it. Even Intel HD graphics can run it, although not at 60 fps steady. What really helps is that War Thunder has many graphical options to accomodate various levels of computer power, to the entry level computer to the best of the best. It allows the players to change render, what kind of DirectX (10 or 11 I believe), lens flares, reflections, etc So my suggestion is, put as many options as possible and you'll have far more players! Keep up the good work!
