  1. That is awesome! Hope you suceed on your goals!
  2. Indeed, and each character is totally different! Ricardo Reis and Alvaro Campos are opposites, yet they will be in the same test -.-Why are you studying Fernando Pessoa? Are you Portuguese? 200th post
  3. I am Portuguese and I can confirm this, Portugal has a lot of poetry, lyrics and texts about the discovering of Brasil, the path to India, among other discoveries. Although Fernando Pessoa is a bit of a pain in the ass with all the made up characters such as Álvaro Campos, Ricardo Reis, Alberto Caeiro, etc. I have to study them for my first language subject. I just can't get the exams right when it's about Fernando Pessoa. Oh well.
  4. Bom Natal para todos e um bom ano novo!

    Introduction

Welcome to Naval Action Spyboy! I'm sure you'll enjoy hanging around Cheers
  6. Garbad, are you the same garbad who used to write about ships back in POTB's forums? If yes, I want you to know that I enjoyed reading them Perharps you can keep the legacy in Naval Action! Cheers
  7. Another knot? No way I'm enjoying to sail the Trincomalee so much, I even killed a Bellona solo, against a player.
  8. I was the player in the Trincomalee in the aforementioned battle, I also got a little pissed that he ruined a pretty fun cannonball exchange. We were both beaten down, but timing of repairs and aiming could have won the situation for either of us. When I am alone against a far inferior ship, I let them destroy a big portion of my hull, even after wasting repairs, then sink them in two broadsides, but I wouldn't do that when busy with another player. But I get you Ramjb, you just wanted to be helpful! Perharps next time the fate of the battle is decided by skill and seamanship, not rammers!

    POTBS

I just checked their website and it is true! I really hope that the game is done for, it was fun, but nothing decent during most of 2014... At least more players come to Naval Action and rejoice the awesome combat system and ship models
  10. In this PvP match the brig got itself in front of my Trincomalee, while I was busy shooting the other Trincomalee. This strange collision happened, which resembles to elephants humping each other. This isn't anything new to the devs, but I wanted to let them know.
  11. Hey there ligatorswe! I agree with your statement, the people in this community are the best I have ever seen in an online game! I hope this lasts well beyond the Sea Trials Every battle I had with you, you were outnumbered, sorry about killing you on such circumstances. Cheers
  12. Hello! Here's a screenshot of my newly acquired Surprise Frigate

    POTBS

Hey Cjflint! Glad you're back! Yes, Potbs forums are still down, I highly doubt that they will ever put them back online, as a way to limit interaction with players, no patch notes, no discussion, no guides, no information, no nothing. Potbs is, unfortunately, a milking machine since Portalus took over. Meanwhile Naval Action has entered into Sea Trials, people who pre order the game become testers, although the people who already were testers do not have to pre order. I highly recomend you to pre order, it will be the cheapest buy, since the price will only get higher in the future. Besides the fact that you are supporting Gamelabs and speeding up the development process. The sea trials are basically the alpha test with a progression system, to get bigger ships. You can do both PvP and PvE. Now there are far more people, which makes up for some fun battles! Hope this gets you updated!
  17. Thank you! It was a lot of fun to build! Games and Steam run flawlessly on windows 8, never had troubles. Unless you plan on playing very old games, for example, Midtown Madness 2 runs terribly, but on windows 7 is smooth.
  18. There are so many people with good rigs in here, some are enthusiasts and overclockers! Good to know that I'm not alone in here
  19. Here's my thread suggesting Oculus Rift compatibility http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/541-oculus-rift/
  20. Hello BogdanM! If you need help with a system upgrade or a whole new system (recommended due to the old DDR2 Ram) just say so! Your GPU does support DirectX 11, but it's a bit on the low end side and Naval Action isn't as optimized as a released game is. My computer specs are: I7 920 @ 2.67 Ghz GTX 650 6GB Ram DDR3 120GB Crucial m500 (Solid State Drive) 1000GB Caviar Green Windows 8 Pro It runs Naval Action flawlessly at around medium, high settings. Also, it's inside a lego case
  21. These posters are great! It is all about propaganda! Keep it up

    POTBS

Indeed! Potbs was a good game to begin with, and the fact that it has lasted for around 7 years, an eternity in the interwebs, means something, but on the other side, all good things once come to an end, and Potbs time is over, not now but since a few months ago. Of course, if the management was better, the fate would have been delayed a good deal, but this is strecthing it, without reason.
  23. 17 year old here, I always admired age of sail ships and the world at the time was quite interesting! Can't wait to see that in Naval Action
  24. I would like to see a portuguese guild/society, but since it is a minority, it would be very weak in terms of manpower. Time will tell!

    POTBS

Potbs used to be a fun game to play, the portbattles were interesting and pvp gave me chills! The small team is doing way too many changes, and big ones, to the game. They are shooting in the dark hoping to score some money. I don't understand how is it still online, seriously, almost dead econ, barely any people left, deserted towns, etc, etc.
