  1. @admin What ever happen to the elite AI in OW? I know folks don't want to get attacked by AI, but would be nice to find a named AI or something you can fight and get a boosted reward. Something more on a small scale than Epic events. You tag an OW ship/fleet only to find out when inside it's a Named Elite NPC with better states and rewards/loots. Make it random so you will never know if that NPC is normal or elite.
  2. Circle of doom keeps you from running, remember old flag port battles and the shrinking circle? Though that just made me thing Traders run, wouldn't they run into the circle of doom lol
  3. THE CIRCLE OF DOOM RETURNS. I was going to say it would be a kite nightmare until I saw that part. Going be kinda interesting to see how this works out.
  4. And how will that be fair to new players? The game is EA alpha stage of devolopment they should be doing more wipes to be honest but folks cry thinking this is a released game. They have to do wipes to give a clear slate for all players cause some folks have built up a pretty big collection of stuff cause of bad broke mechanics that have been changed. You bought this game knowing it's an alpha and not finished released product.
  5. Well we are promised to keep our xp and rank stuff. I kinda was hoping we keep the ship knowledge too cause I know a lot of folks aren't going to want to grind all that out again. I'm fine starting over from scratch other wise when they do this. I will prob not redeem my xp/rank on one char and play it through from 1st level up just to test out the featers and all.
  6. Though one option other than buying the DCL thing is that you can delete your char and than do the tutorial final exam that will boost you straight to Master Com level. This isn't bad for any lower level players, but any high level players will need to use the DLC thing or remain in the nation. Remember this all gets wiped when we go live any way so just change the nation now if you can. Also thought they put the shops in free towns on PvE server for those nations. Those nations should prob never been added to that server
  7. They gave crap loot so that is the same as we did once they stop dropping good loot. I didn't even notice they didn't come over since not all our warehouse stuff was on my char. Though now I been getting good loot, but can OLD FLAG OFFICER STOP DROPPING, I gotten that three times in a row on the same day.
  8. I actually liked the concept they had of turning most of the Gulf in a PvE safe zone but you can still go in flagged and fight PvP in that zone with the flag on. Keep all good econ stuff out of that zone so they will ahve to trade with the none safe zones folks, but the 100 PvE server players (prob more than that) had a fit and it was shot down. Rememeber folks admin did say it would say up another 24 months, but that was what a year ago so it's suppose to be up another 12 as promised? I'm all for merging them and making some zone like the gulf so they can work on one server and one game for content adn such and than later if the population is high enough open up regional servers and maybe a PvE only server.
  9. Until they make something new like a loot box at the end of the fight like most MMO's have they could just make the ships not sink so fast once they putthe white flag up. They really need to put the white flag up when they are half sunk and stop firing. Many folks won't stay side by side with them cause they will continue to fire until all decks are under and they will still pull you if they have more crew. When the ship is going down I think fireing cannons and trying to baord is the last thing on most sailors minds. Ever seen what happens when something like a ship does goes under? It sucks every thing around it down with it, but most thinks don't sink so quickly cause of trapped air bubbles insde. Just have the surrender at half full of water and than sink from there so it takes longer.
  10. Sounds more like a clan issue. I know my clan has over 10K hull repairs 16K Rig Repairs and 20K Rum sitting in the clan warehouse right now and most of that was what I made since the wipe. I got even more as personnel stash. That is a 5 man mini clan if you count my production and I build all my own ships. So any clans of 25+ players should not have an excuse why there clan mates never have repairs when they go out. If your working forward deployed than you get a trade ship and move some to that base. It's easy just put the trade ship in your fleet when you move down the coast to new hunting grounds. Ports do produce repairs as I have hunted away from home and used a trade ship to sneak into ports just to buy up AI repairs. Than I dump the captured brig and go back to my hunting ship.

  12. Wait your talking about OW AFK ships that run into land? I thought this was going to be about in battle. Just let folks catch them with there pants down like we all ready do.
  13. Got them to move some of the numbers up, but many of them still need to be increased. Doing 20 at a time blows when your trying to burn all your labor hours. If I want to make 4K of something I should be able too. Yep even did this on GLOBAL when it wasn't so laggy cause that pop up is so annoying. Just tap them back and forth and it speeds it up.
  14. We actually have no beef with any other British Clans at the moment, it was just his attitude and the fact they owned over half the Bahamas and put the ports in stupid timers. I wonder why those timers weren't changed friday when the weekend started? And it went from only doing one in different timer to doing almost half of them. Hmmmmm wonder why that happened? I hear they are going to hire the neutral nation to defend them for them, but that just a rumor. So you set port timers when you can't even be on to play a game that your talking so much smack about and than wonder why you loose the ports? Well we can add it to my battle plans. I mean I'm all ready suppose to be taking all of Bahamas according to that spy/traitor Kennyway guy. No I said officially our plans when we join the us was to remove the threat in LR, help clear the US coast line and take some Bahamas ports cause it's great training grounds and fighting area for lower level and new players to PvP/RvR. Never said all of Bahamas, but with that I'm going to add we may or may not ever go into the Gulf, but one day Texas wants to own Texas in game and I"ll leave it at that. They will be loosing way more than that tomorrow. French will move into number three spot on the conquest board. You think a lot more brits would be upset about that than anything...lol

  17. I heard they will be able to fill them and defend. Glad we will bring our "A" Game or maybe "A-" as that is kinda early... Yep we plan to only flip one port and it turned into two cause of it. I did say I wanted Marsh any way so well looks like I'll be getting my clans first port in an old school Pirate port I use to have as home. That was honestly why we flipped La Desc cause of the agro we got from sunking him. I still think we had time to flip the one we where actually going after lol. I think we will save that one for next weekend? Should cost you to do it in maybe locking up your ports where you can't change timers or other things for 24 hours when you drop a ports. Each port you drop adds a day to the cool down. @admin or any one else what is the limit of ports a nation can flip? Is it 3 per nation or 3 per clan? I think they have more ports we can flip in later hours and want to flip them if we can.
  18. Really? Your pretty sad. We had over 12 players (had to drop and make a battle fleet). We had 3 battles going at once at Marsh my group did two missions in time of the other two. The same was with Les Des. There was no Russians in the Bahamas so how is this alt using and how would grinding A Russian char gives us hostility on a US port. Mad flipped Walkers on there own as with the other nations. Suck it up butter cup you got 7 ports flipped cause of how you acted on the forums and in game. Hope you can defend the. @Ink I would like to report fails accusations of the posters . Not only for accusing @Christendom, but since my clan [CSA] was invlovled (we flipped Marsh Harbor and helped with La Desc. Since where is no proof of actually rules being broken he is falsely accusing us of cheating and should be punished accordinly per forum rules.
  19. You know there is one way to find out, might be time some of us buckle up and get up at odd times and hit some ports in those odd timers? WOuldn't that be funny just to see who shows up to actually defend them. That is why I mention port wipes need to be done to test the new mechanics too. It's funny the folks I notice that complain the most about them are the ones I think don't have the numbers to take the ports back and it will show weakness. I just would like a few ports to be released for other time zones that have very few ports to fight over and not go all the way to the other side of the map to do so.
  20. That why I think they should be tied to Rank/level. Combat perks for the combat Rank and your crafting for your crafting level. That and some of them just don't seem to really fit any more. Wonder what the stats are on use of some perks in game. I mean how many folks us fishing any more? With the discount in labor hours you get for owned ports Forman and the one that gives you a larger pool are kinda out dated. Crap it's a pain to check perks too, we should be able to review them even if our slots are full. I don't think I have any chars with empty slots right now to look at the perks. Though I know I have one I been using as a hauler when my clan moved from Russia to US these past weeks I'm about to roll over and will reset the perks. I'll take a look and see what I can think of. The main thing I was thinking was just splitting the perks to related rank/level.

This remembers me the time I caught some one with a deadmans chest with my alt in a privateer.....8 knts open world on the way back to Kidds was a very slow pace as that chest maxed me out and since he was only like rank 2 I hadn't put fleet perk on him so I couldn't just keep the captured Trader Brig that had it on and bring it back...lol The other thing was any mast damage done to the ship? Pretty much if you loose part of it in some of them small ones it puts you dead in the water.
  22. Yah 13 days is going to fly by fast. I think I got most my stuff taken care of and since I"m done with the great move from Russia to US I can relax. Just going to suck all them players that haven't logged on and have all them great mods sitting in redeemable....ya'll should do some crazy random drops in stores that day after the 15th lol
  23. It's good ya'll can prob field two teams with these smaller BR port battles. What ya'll did last weekend cracked me up cause we had a small group on the way down to help them grind up that port. Than suddenly we see a few guys get sanked at San Sabastion and than La Navassa and than the grinding stopped. They prob brought the wrong ships and half assed it too. We than ported into port and went to do other things as all there numbers logged off. Saved us from making the rest of that trip. We do plan to give ya'll some good fights soon and have some fun. Kinda limited on who we can fight in our prime times any way. As I mention above we got to see that the other weekend, good job on your guys part. Fast action at both ports. Prob cause there are so few US prime time ports for them to attack since most of them are hogged by EU clans that don't even RvR much. If your not using most those ports than drop them and let others take control of them or change the times of one and let them be in charge of defending it. If they loose the port so what it was one less port you have to worry about. I don't think this topic is about the port timers of all of GB, it's about one clan that owns 14 ports (over half) of the Bahamas a prime spot for folks to learn and train players in with small cheap ships, but most of the ports are tide up in the time slot that prob the fewest players are on at any time of the day. I actually wonder if any of those ports got flipped just how many would come and help defend them? In the past I found clans in GB tend to spread out to much as a nation and don't help each other out cause they are to spread out. So just how many would show for a port battle? Low BR means defending isn't a problem as you only new a handful of guys.
  24. I would love to see more refit ships too that can be added to the PvP store. The Pirate Frigate should be honestly remand to the Privateer Frigate and than maybe we can name the LGV the Privateer LGV instead of refit. Maybe have a few other Privateer ships that are refits. I would preffer them to be BP's instead of notes too. The SC could be the Privateer version of the L'Hermione too. Each one with a perm paint that is different from the base version of the ships and some stat changes that make them maybe weaker in some areas to make up for the added crew, guns or other things that privateers/Pirates would stack on a refitted ship. They can even bring back the old plain Rattle snake and give the Heavy Rattler the "outlaw" paint that is in the API files...that is if it's not just a place holder. By making them blue prints instead of notes you can have them with a recipe of the base ship and than added stuff to make a Privateer version of that ship (wood types stays the same but states and perm paint chnage). If folks remember POTBS had refits ships like this you needed the base ship to make the refit out of them.
  25. Pirates also should not be a chargen option. Make it where you can only go pirates in game like it was back when you had to attack some one of your nation to become pirates. Screw the Disney kids if they want to be pirates they can do so in game. They don't last in game any way cause most of them have the attention span of a nat and think this should be like CoD (NAL is more there game). Than make it so if you want to go back national you have to use the forge paper thing or delete you char. Any one notice when you look at most of the guys with the Pirates movie names and from games they all tend to switch to a nation that isn't pirate once they find out it's hard core mode? So what is the point of allowing them to start in the hard core nation than?
