I think folks want to pratice it cause it fast tracks you to MC level so you don 't have to grind up those fist 3-4 levels and can get further on your way to levels where you can man better ships. -

They already paid real money and the cost is a 30 day cool down before you can use it again. So no it shouldn't cost doubloons in game to switch. This will also mess with folks that might want to run merc/privateer clans that might switch nations and fight with who ever pays them or just for the fun of it. -
No 5th rate ships on sale by admiralty on PVE server

You could always ask in Nation Chat. Prob most of those ships get bought and used. Though really the only 5ths I seen sold have been the light frigates in the past mostly. -

Yes you where promised them after test bed closes which it just did and they said we will get them with the patch this week (econ wipe testing).

They where never promised after wipe. That is why we are getting them next/I mean this week when the do the econ wipe since ships aren't being effective by this wipe. Though I really really do hope they are doing a port wipe too for the econ testing so we can test these new ports and not have them all owned by the same clans owning most of the server with population so low, give every one chance at a clean slate to test the econ.

I brought that up saying give us a unique skin if your going to sale it, but @admin gave this long thing about keys and what they can and can't give out linked to steam or has to be sold. Ok if it's sold as DLC make it very limited time....one month at the start and than no one else. The point of the BP is that only us old timer EA users would have the BP and could craft the ship. I honestly would prefer to be able to craft my own ships and have my name on it than redeem or buy a note. Many ships we have as notes should have some means to get the BP's too. I'm all for the skin thing, they could do it by allowing us a or day head start. They give them out to every one that has a char. Than upon release you can buy the DLC but only those before got the skin for it. As for craft and sale, the ship can still remain none tradeable even if you craft it.

I'm just hoping next week when they reset the econ stuff they reset the map too. We can't rightfully test things if it's not all reset. Just means the same clans keep those ports and if there isn't a strong enough clan to take it they keep it and game grows stale until release. Though I got a good feeling that upon release we are going to see the same clans owning all the inifiniity ports and most of the major ones with goods. They can keep hold of that resource by not burning it up fast or letting others buy it. The biggest issue comes to number of players and having others strong enough to give a fight. Other wise when folks loose every time they get tired of it and leave the game. Strong nation/clans should be fighting other strong nations clans and small/weak ones should be fighting other weak/small. Instead we tend to see the same strong nations/clans only fighting wearker nations clans and avoiding good equal fights. I been a big one for map resets every so often to keep the game from getting stale. -
I'm actualy kinda fine with the wipe, but as you and many said it's the way they went about saying it. That and there is no compensation other than keeping book knowledge. I would been happy with ship and books cause ships take for ever to grind out slots on. You can rank up just grinding out the first few slots on the 1st rates. That and I did it on mulit accounts. I'll prob be max level on my main in both rank and crafting in a week or two so not even sure how the wipe is going to do anything. I mean all we have to do is Tutorial and we are MC and than the grind starts for the reset. My biggest issue was the Pandora being DLC that others can buy after release. That was suppose to be a special ship that only we got, but now it seems any one can get it. Biggest way to fix this is to give us the BP for it too. I mean if other games can give you items for preorders and helping with alpha/beta testing by giving them in game why can't they figure out a way? It's honestly lazy coding. Ships and notes aren't being touched next week as they aren't part of the econ they are testings.

Some folks actually like this type of game play. Use to have a guy in clan that loved to do bottles. He keep a list of every one that gave him bottles in clan and when he open them he write down what he found and later give them back or put them in clan warehouse for all to use depending on what folks wanted to be done with what he got. This was back when you open a bottle and it could spawn on the other side of the map. He was an older retired guy and just enjoyed sailing around and exploring. Something that might not seem fun to you might be fun to others. @admin I know you say there are millions and millions doubloons out there, but maybe before you wipe all the doubloons in the coming weeks can we get a large amount so folks can see how these clan missions work. Not every clan has millions and millions on hand. -
I can't find the post but I believe I remember @admin saying for ya'll it's the neutral ports on PvE server gives the bonus. To be honest I built stuff on both a Nation owned port in the Starter zone of US and clanned owned and gout about he same drops for rareity on each ports, but RNG hates me. No on PvP server to get the bonus it has to be a clan owned port. They can have it open to all though and you can craft

I believe he's talking about on PvE server since they can't capture ports they made all neutral ports over there act as if captured for crafting. People really should mention what server they are on cause if he's on PvP than the answer is no a clan has to own a port for it to get the cracting RNG bonus.

Let them flip ports against AI. Every three-four months the map gets reset. I hear guys complain about not being able to do missions. Than flip a port for you clan....than I hear the complaint about solo guys. Believe me not every port would be flipped cause you have ot pay for them too. They need more content, but they shouldn't just expect all the content from PvP server as it was never promised to them until after release they would even work on PvE server. Didn't Admin say most of these patches aren't going to really effect PvE server? -

Name one game that allows PvE serversd to get the same rewards you get from PvP? If you want special content you need to play that content. Also there was never a promise of a PvE server from day one, they only did it to make a few players happy. Instead of demanding easy mode and content you don't earn, how about trying to get the devs to get you more content and make the game more playerable on you server so you can get more players to come to it. -

Why do you want PvP rewards when you don't play one War server? PS I do have chars on PvE server, but won't play there until there is actual content. Give us port battles against AI and serve map port reset and I bet you find a lot more players showing up on that server that don't want to deal with certain PvPers. -

Every one gets fleet 1 for free. So the two fleets in the perks section are for if you want 2 or 3 fleet ships. The Sextent perk has to be set for it to work. Than when you look at the map you will see a little white boat where you are on the map. -
I haven't updated my drivers, but I have the flicking rigging on the connie now....go figure lol

This why they really should do this with a port wipe hopefully with the econ patch. Allowing active clans to grab random land up and not knowing if it has good resources or not and respark up some RvR maybe. Right now the folks that own the lands aren't the small clan and weak nations so they just will be stronger having control over those ports. -

Yah this was brought up on testbed that it wasn't very clear. Hell I have to go reset all my perks cause most of my chars I had fleet perk on them to capture ships. So now I have to spend douboons and reset these perks. -

You can carry muliti letters passengers and you can capture them and turn them in form others that have them on there ships. At least that is how it was on test bed. I had a blast running an alt around in a LQR around on test but all the ports where open so didn't need a trade ship. I expect we will see alot of lynx traders running around lol War is good, but they should of wiped all the ports when they do this econ testing. Right now know one knows except the owners of the ports for the most part so they can harvest it, but if the ports aren't wiped when the rest of the stuff is wiped for testing than it won't change nothing. All ports should be wipe when the econ patch goes into phase. Release isn't going to be months from now, so that isn't soon. You can't right now really tell cause we have old contracts in ports. So unless it's a port hardly any one uses and you stuble upon them than you won't find them. Only way to get into those ports is with a really crappy slow trade ship so your sitting duck going into enemey ports. Even than with current in game numbers only clans with a powerful RvR force will be able to take them. -

Just make sure when the server go live that all this is shaken up and no one knows which ports will have which. Other wise you will have a rush of certain clans taking control of key ports. If there are certain ports that have unlimited resources of a certain type of wood I would agree they should not be allowed windows and should be fought over at any time around the clock. Now the other random ports than that is a different story. This is good to know, a lot of guys I know left cause there was only big fights in shallows and missed the days of the big fleet battles in OW and for key ports. To many ports can be tied down by one really good small clan in key spots (issue with Little River and it's low BR.) Where is this stated cause I'm getting info that ony certain ports will have the woods? See this is the issue with we don't get enough details or it's spread out between 2000000000 pages. Well I do work night (3rd shift) so Early EU time is my prime times these days...lol -

I thought friendly clans could take missions from the port too by my understanding. The only problem I have with this is that it's only one port per wood types. Pretty much when every ones current ships are gone/wipe, only those folks strong enough to hold ports will have the good woods type making them even stronger over the rest of the server and with BR being so freaking stupidly low on most ports you can't try to gang up on them and over take it. That or you have what we had in US done today with LR.....VCO used an US alt clan to flip it so now we can't agro it and try to take it back. If that port had a special wood than all they had to do is just not have any friendly clans listed and harvest all the woods them self and nothing any one can do about it. So @admin your whole comment about keeping alts is not going to work. -

Little hard to test it when your about to have every thing wipe in the next few weeks and they will have the only resources to build good ships. or when power clans own the ports that you can't beat in a fight and they are the only ones with the woods. There goes fair play RvR and PvP. You don't lock behind key resources for ship building behind one port.....each of the woods only has one port each, that is just stupid. Maybe give each wood type half a dozne to a dozen ports for folks to pick from, but locking them behind one port only jsut means the strongest clans will win all the time and no one else will get the resources. The French Merchant one looks nice too. Did you know I never been Swedish other than on testbed this last time. Hows the waters over there that Swedish Mechant one looks nice too. At least one of the most iconic american flags of the times isn't locked behind PvP Shop at 50K doubloons? Wonder what other nations have flags in the shop too. Betsy Ross was like the first US flag after it's Independence and I was wondering why it wasn't on the main list and now I know why, but for 50K doubloons? That insane. -

LOL like the majority or a few clans? Cause I don't know any clans that have that many doubloons on them right now. one port over the whole server is a little small. Sounds like Fine Woods 2.0 again. You will have only a few strong clans controlling these resources and when it runs out they will just move to the next port and capture it and since other clans/nations can't get the woods they will dominate the PvP/RvR. This wasn't the way we showed you how ot fix alts, this now means no one but the most powerful clans will own a port and control resources I remember you stating you where looking at spreading them out better. This is not spreading them out better, this is isolating them to only the strong and the weak will never get a chance. -

agian you just killed every crafter out there by not making it easier to get ships, now it's going to be harder and only alts and powerfull clans will have these port. If it moves when it dry's up they will just move to the next port pushing weaker clans/nations out of the way. Nothing new here.....
