  1. Per the patch notes: All ship notes were temporarily removed from the admiralty for further balancing
  2. If he never played on PvE server before the merge/wipes and all that than he never had a char there and no stored XP. At one time the xp was shared between the servers, but you had to have a char made on that server for it to share it. Remember if he does the Final Exam it will give him Master Commander level and some goodies. So might want to check on that if devs can't help him.
  3. Who the hell has 23 friends? Maybe like 2-3 friends with about 20 alts total...lol Actually I think I might just have to do something like this...with my three US chars....lol
  4. I believe it's all ready been changed....that is why they say 1 2 3 on them that is as in Light, Frigates, SOL (or the backwards). Though I wouldn't try to limit it more cause it's hard enough to get those kills for some that is why we didn't want 15 missions for each rate.
  5. If you see them for something like 32K that is prob a consumption port. A port that gives you a good price for it and you will never make a profit off buying goods out of that port of those type. Since you mention KPR, it's a consumption port, it's made to sale goods in not buy them (trade goods that is). Why would they buy them from you and than sale them back for them to loose a profit?
  6. I been to plenty a port battles. Screened a good number of them, but funny I don't remember you being at them? If you can remember right CSA actually owned most of the US ports at one time, VCO didn't own crap until ya'll went pirates and numbers where down. Most of those battles while yes VCO helped I really don't remember you being in any of them. In fact didn't you take a very long time off from playing yourself? So how was you in all those battles? Cause I'm pretty sure you stopped playing for a good part of that time? If you like i can post a bunch of screen shots of CSA/VCO in port battles and your not in any of them. I'm in them so is Chris, Teutonic, Amp, Vodka and many others, but you are not in any of them. The last time I seen you in a port battle until recently was before the merge. If I remember right that was when you stopped playing other than popping in once in a blue moon for a port battle here or there when needed. I didn't come here to cause a sling fight. The fact is ya'll bitch about not getting content and fights and you refuse to fight the only big prime time PvP/RvR force in your time zones. If your not going to fight each other than don't bitch about lack of fights. Oh and as for any recent fights in the last year, you do know I work nights, so when most port battles and fights happen I'm at work. I have shown up to screen some before work but couldn't stay. Which would be why you might not seen me recently in anything. You know some of us do think our jobs are more important. If the fights on a weekend I try to make it. That why I made it to Marsh Harbour, but couldn't make it to LR or Harbour Island when they where flipped. And I criticize others for doing what BLACK did cause I was there and I saw what damage it did to that server and player base. I learned from that, something others seem to not get in there head if they want a healthy player base and competition in a game. Before the wipe and ya'll came along from EU server I was very vocal about how we treated US and GB. That is why when most of the officers stopped playing at the wipe and for lack of numbers I switched the means that BLACK fought GB/US. This is also why I went US to help them out. Instead of giving up and running and than bashing them as easy targets like some one else does. I mean how many nations has VCO been in? You talk about others giving up or jumping ship? If any of ya'll had real skill you wouldn't give up and run and than bash the nation you just left cause a few casuals and RPers don't want to work with you. DO like others do, just ignore them and do your thing. I'm one of the first to tell you I think the senate while having clan meetings is good for a nation, but other wise it's a joke and that is why it doesn't work in a game like this. Can't have a bunch of guys that don't show up regular or fight/PvP/RvR lead from the back. But here is a good thing, most of those talking about leaving US are not going Pirate or French so maybe that will spread things out some more and give the game more people to fight each other in US prime time if the numbers go up when the game releases.
  7. Just about every PvP style game has missions like this, that is why we got Admin to change it to class of ships not by rate. My only issue is there needs to be a few other ways like part of port battles you get a missions rewards according to what you kill or assist in the PB. Encourage more folks to fight in PB than play the circle jerk game. This is a problem and removing safe and forcing the bad players out of them to PvP isn't going to give them more wins or make them better, just gives the Hard Core guys more easy targets. So it is a two edge sword. That why not every good ship should be locked behind one means to get it. There should be some ships that you can't get unless you PvE too (would like to see some trader ship refits maybe?) Though most of the time when we capture ships off our coast line, these guys aren't using 5/5 ships with expensive mods. Some do, but most of them are using the same thing every one else is using. As for the woods and such that is why we need a port wipe. Many of the ports where taken by bad timers, human errors, or just not touched in ages cause of current timers. If they don't have the active players to recapture that port than why should they be holding on to them now?
  8. The problem is not just one thing. Location doesn't help as it's back into a corner, but it was doing healthy for a while but that never last for long. The problem mainly falls on players. Good players get fed up and go to other nations cause of lack of organization and skill of other players. Those that do fight get burned out. They are easy targets for more expierenced players that tend to not want to fight each other (Hint the mention of French and Pirates not fighting). Most of the US prime time good PvP/RvR players leave to go to other nations, but the problem is they turn around and bash on the very nation they left and for the reason they left. At one time there was 3-4 nations out side of every port battle screening US out of them and sinking them. All while not one of those 3-4 nations would fight each other. The constant farming of the coast wears players down. You can tell when it was getting bad that even KoC would lay off and go to other hunting grounds cause folks like Raxus and such switched nations and continue to farm. I don't know why when folks leave a nation they got to hate on it so much. Or even more they hate on the casuals, PvE, and RPers like they did something wrong to them. So what if folks want to be casual players or RP, this game is made for all types of folks. If you don't like it than just do your thing. Those casuals wand RPers and the ones that fill the cannon fobber numbers and do the bulk of the trade and runs, but soon they die off and don't return. Chris Roberts put it great a while back in an interview about why SC will have 20% players and 80% AI (I heard it's also 10%/90% split in the past). Cause when you have PvP there is always a winner and a looser. The problem is when it begins to not be balanced and one side is mostly the looser. Loosing isn't fun, when we aren't having fun we stop playing. They don't want folks to not have fun and stop playing. It's something this game needs to understand or it will never keep a large player base. Hint the reason folks are wanting to go other nations (many of them don't have DLC or forge papers so that is why they are waiting for release). They aren't having fun any more and when folks aren't having fun they go play other games or stop playing this one all together. Hint why the severs numbers are so low.
  9. Uh but Little River and St Mary are still captureable ports. They still haven't been merged into that region yet.

I always been one to believe that the best gear should be behind RvR and PvP, but folks should still be able to luck out and get notes randomly from rewards chest so do put those in the loot tables. The other thing is when I look at the Permits I don't see all the ships that need them listed in the Admiralty, are some just not in there yet or something? I kinda like how some can be bought with VM and others can be bought with the PvP medal. One thing that might help is allow for exchange of these two formats between each other. That way the land owners of RvR can get rewards for owning lands and the PvP guys get there rewards for PvP. A lot of time you share kills in larger battles that you rarely get the kill or assist cause of spread of damage out. Maybe add assit to the KIll list or have a separate mission that rewards for Kills/Assit in Port battles. Maybe a bit more reward from this to encourage folks to fight more in PB's than play the circle game. Maybe not a mission but when PB is over every one that score kills/assit gets so many PvP Medals for the fight on both sides win or lost. Any why shouldn't they? Sorry this game isn't about getting a Trophy just for logging in, you want the best PvE or PvP rewards your going have to do those parts of the game. Most other games the only way to get elite gear is you had to go do the elite dungeons to get them. Some of them even lock the gear so you can't trade it and have to actually do the content to get the gear. It's not meant for one person to be doing all the work, clans are about working together. If your clan isn't than it's it's own fault. You don't have to carry it all at the same time, let the folks pop in and drop the coins. I haven't been able to work with the mission, but it should be along running missions that you can fill slowly and once it's filled than an officer can retrieve the goods. Remember how the old delivery missions was where you didn't have to bring 1000 logs, you could bring 100, 40, 500 until you reached 1000. As for the resources that clan can than sale those woods on the market to make tax revenue off of it if they sale it in there own port. There is a youtube and I think even post some where how to do it. Basically you do the rage board and use you cannons to sink it while you in boarding. Econ always been screwed up where folk either over charge things or don't charge enough. They need to make it so we can list the price in trade in contracts. If I want to buy things in reals, doubloons or combat medals than I should be able to list I'm going to sale this L'Ocean for 2.5 Million Reals or 25000 Doubloons or maybe I just want 100 Combat Medals. Cause the problem comes when you have nations where most guys loose instead of winning fights they don't sale doubloons and such cause they dont' get them as much as the guys winning all the time. US hardnly ever has Doubloons on the market and when it does it way above the average price for the server cause folks don't have as many from fighting. This was more an issue with PvP marks than doubloons now, but I can see it as an issue with combat medals.
  11. But the problem is they don't fight each other. You do know you can avoid the drama and still fight after all? I think from those I have spoken to it's mostly folks wanting a change. You can only get beat on so much before you just give up or move on. Though I'll promise you one thing certain folks won't be following along with us and I'm sure you can figure out who those folks are. Hell I still haven't picked where I'm going, but that is more a question when the release comes.

  13. You can always switch over to US to play for a bit. GB has a pretty big US player base too. Though I'll be honest with you many of us in the US nation are thinking of switching nations when the big wipe/release happens. So with that in mind you might want to wait and see how things go. Folks are just getting tired of being stuck in a corner with half the nations farming them and refusing to fight each other in that time zone.
  14. We only get 10 missions slots, I can't take up half my mission slots cause I want to cover PvP kills. They really need to make it just per 10 players or do it by class. 10 Lights, Frigates, SOL you get reward. Not per rate as that could be 5-6 missions just on it's own. As you might be holding onto a missions for a long time just trying to find that one 2nd rate kill to cash it in.
  15. There are DLC and Admiralty items you can buy. To be honest the best way for you toe not have to worry about econ stuff is get folks in your clans that like to trade and do econ/crafting stuff. Oh but you can't have that if your a hard core PvPer right? Than don't bitch if you have to do econ stuff cause you killed all the PvERs/Casuals and ran them off to the PvE servers. I have always allowed pure crafters and trade players in my clans. They even some times turn out to be half decent at PvP when given a chance too. Instead of farming the capital waters you could recruit those guys and get them to farm AI for your clan. You k now this is a PvE/PvP game after all, so you will have to PvE once in a while.

  18. With 4 ships? I thought you can only bring 3 in the group? Who was the 4 long term vets? If they lost a ship than casuals and new players will end up wiped out. i haven’t tried one yet cause of the group entry bug, but we alll ready have hard epic missions so these shouldn’t be
  19. I don't think we are talking about the PvE server, like who cares if ya'll get poods or what not over there, it doesn't effect other players. Folks are talking about ship balance in PvP fights mostly.
  20. While not AI, are we ever going to see stern guns have normal accuracy like the rest of the guns. I know it was added a long time ago to give Trade ships a running help, but those where many moons and builds ago. Stern guns do not need to be super duper accurate any more. I mean i demasted folks with them while being chases cause I could hit every time compared to them hitting me 1 out ever 3-4 shots. As for those Missions, honestly I think the 2 1st rates is the problem. Against 3 4 th rates it prob should be the 1st rate and the escort thirds only. Your talkign about fighting 5 higher class ships. AI does use Knowledge books, they have all the boarding books, with marines but no penalty for being board fit (no lower reload or crew taken from gunnery/sail/survival). Though my answer for that is they should always treat players as if they have the DD perk even if they don't. Can't pull a player unless they have more crew. The every crew in survival while pumping out water and firing full broad sides while they are sinking is a bit annoying too. They don't seem to be effective by crew in survival. I even crew shocked them with dead pumps and they keep firing cannons as it filled with water. That would of been instant death to any player.
  21. He said your ships will be safe, if you sold ships to the store to store them than they aren't exactly your ships any more.
  22. I do n't k now it doesn't have a 3rd deck and your assuming that folks run 42's on the second decks to get that fire power. So I looked at three 3rd rates ships made of T/WO USS United States 12994 hp Constitiution 13730 3rd Rate 14841 Seem they got a bit less HP's than the Bellona/3rd. At least let the Connie and US be faster than the Belloa/3rd. Some one got the Wasa to check on it's states too? Issue comes when the map gets owned by mainly top clans and the little guys can't take ports from these guys. This is why BR's need to be looked at. Even the bad players if they have numbers might win, compared to a small hard core clan that has a tight group and can hold down ports with off times and small BR's from a much larger nation/player base that is made of causals and new players. And we haven't even gotten into the problem of getting screened out of fights by friends all the time of those nations/clans. It might be good to do a map reset once in a blue moon so the game doens't grow stale like it has in the past with the same folks owning certain ports since pretty much the last wipe. The ports that have infinity resources should not be able to have timers, they should be able to war over at any time of the day/night. That will make them exchange hands a lot. Remember also your night is others days and your days is there nights. The problem is when folks put the ports in totally off times like AUS/SEA times even though it's not a clan made up of those players. They just put it when it's hardest for any one else to flip. I wouldn't say 1-2K more is almost equal. poods will be wiped soon so will be very rare. shhhhhh last week I told them they should play PvP if they want PvP rewards, don't let them think we are going to be nice and let them have them......lol
  23. Will ports be wiped? It's hard to test things when some folks don't own ports and can't get ports easily cause of timers. Not to mention all the currently inactive clans. The clans that keep there ports will if they are good ports have almost instant money on hand while those with none money making ports will struggle to keep them from going neutral. I got a feeling a lot of ports will prob go neutral any way so lets just cut the chase and reset them all.
  24. While not the Herc I did find out in testbed when I was grinding out with the Victory. That bow/aft mods in the PvP shop made a big difference and so did Angelino hits. Something I know you know how to do, but a lot of folks got so use to tanking now and stern hits it’s showing now when they get hit. Our fighting styles have to be adjusted a bit with the new damage model. Can’t just go in and tank against equal or larger ships and it does depend one your builds. Some woods splinter way easy and do other damage. Some allow for over pen and will do damage to structure and armor. Nothibg wrong with taking a break too. A lot of new games have came out and I stepped away to play them and not be burned out on this one.
  25. Maybe have the port consume so much per day. Doesn’t have to be much and can slowly fill contracts too. That will keep folks from sitting on some ports, but if they where wide just buy all the stock and than sale for profit and the rest goes into clan storage. Convey the mats to a port they have the clan warehouse in. They can always sale it in port by contracts to make that money since the tax goes back to the clan any way.
