I did the first mission on easy and got curb stomped both times. Uh thought that was easy mode. Just was taking to many losses when so out number and they keep charging my position. And I noticed when I was messing with the Union fihgts that the bigger you make your amry the bigger the numbers you fight. So I guess I'm going have to find that happy meduim or something? -

Just give us raids. Raid a port (kinda like old flag system) that one port has an isntant port battle and than if you win it is controlled for 3 days and you get loot from it. Than it returns to the owner of that region. While it's raided it doesn't produce anyhting for the owners. I would prefer them to drop Pirates out of conquest and this would be there system but they need to test things either way. Though for epic events I would love to see actual treasure fleets but that was another topic some one brought up.- 3 replies

Enough FREE CREW. Bigger ships need more crew to man things like gus and sails. So why would they have a bunch of free guys more than say a smaller ship. To me that 25% was to big of a difference. They would not have that many extra spare free crew to stop it. I could see keeping it if it was more like 10% or less. It was very unbalances and even more when it was a larger number needed. And remember it's me that has to have more crew than you do. That means by your logic I had more crew to throw those ropes and hooks than you had to cut them. See two can play this game too. So your logic really doesn't work with that excuse. The more crew I have the more I would over power your crew cutting way the ropes and such. -

Oh look we have a PvP event for the next three hours but we can't do any port battles during this time on PvP2 and our prime time. This is stupid. -
To many folks play like that freaking out cause of an update or wipe that might happen. We are here to test. Have fun and test as much as you can. They could have a wipe tomorrow if they wanted to, that is part of the testing. Problem is to many folks got invested in there little treasures form old broken mechanics that aren't in the game any more. They truelly need to do a wipre before the release to retest the ecnon and other things of the server. I'm going to say when they bring the new ship mechanices they should do a wipe and give every one like a builder package so we can have a few ships straight off and build some others. What you build depends how much of that package you use up. Than the rest you have to gather like normal play to get. Should do a RvR wipe at that time to start it fresh again. Would be a good time to move it into the beta stage, but I think that won't happen until pirate mechanics come out. If tehy ever do. I was hoping we get Pirate Mechanics and Raid around the same time and raid would be more a pirate thing than the Regional conquest thing. We will just have to wait and see.

The only thing we are promised we will keep when the game goes live is our Rank and Crafting level. You won't loose that. All wealth, ships, BP's will be gone. Well or what ever they decide will be gone. I would assume they will give us some redeemables to help start up the new econ in the game and maybe some gift for our hard work of helping them as testers. -

Yah it's been pretty funny last night we matched them in a fair fight and beat them. Than we telport back to home so they couldn't fight us any more. They all ready had twice our numbers int eh PvP shallow events area and had more coming. Why would we stay and keep fighting them until we sanked? As soon as our clan guys left they jumped a solo player just to get points that was in the group. I think we had some coms problem (that player refuses to us TS) as to why he didn't leave. Them ganking him just shows why we don't fight fair. They won't and well they want to fight in the PvP event than they should stop there stupid care bear alliance of the top three nations (not counting pirates) server pop. If they want to do multi alliance take in some of the smaller nations to give them other ports to use and help them grow. Pirates would love to do this for the smaller nations, but we can't have alliances. You don't have to go to war with each other to do that, and than you can still fight each other. They just want to have the alliance cause they can't beat us in port battles with our iron fleets even if they out number us so they have to bring more players and screen out side to keep us out. Maybe if they stop bring junk ships to fights they would win too. That goes for PvP events as i know many of them bring junk ships or junk mods on there ships cause they don't want to loose them. Back on topic though any one know what the new event timers are? Did they change any of the old ones with adding the 4th one? -
Turn rates for all ships should not be adjusted for one perk. That like saying we should drop all the reloads cause the pirate hunter one gives to much. Why are we going of DUALs, that is not what the real world fights are like as DUELS tend to be equal ships fighting each other to sink/win. They don't fight to escape. Folks used demast to equal the numbers when out number and now they can't. Yah getting where I have to keep traders in my prots just to hold eaxtra stuff since many things don't stack like paints and notes. How many times do people even demast out side of DUELS? We have one clan member that is good at it, but the majority of us can't do it like he can. So just cause a few elite players can almost instant demast some one we all have to suffer? Exactly which ones and the numbers? Sorry you make us have to search through all the date and try to remember the old stats. More and more things are becoming useless or meta one way or another. I don't mind changes, but let us know what they are to a point so we can adjsut and make those changes. Many of use spent a lot of times building set ups for ships of now old stats. If that set up is getting to be not effective cause of stat changes we need to know what was changed so we can change our set up and try other things. DITO

Being able to demast would actually help the little guy. The gankers don't demast they take yoru sails down. A solo player that is in a 3 vs 1 can demast one of those three and take them out of the fight and maybe have a more fair chance against 2 so it's more to help them. Now the only way to demast some one is to be in a group. This only helps the gankers not the ones being ganked. -

So last night before the servers went down I got tagged by an Indifatible and two connies while I was in a l'ocean on the way back from some mission grinding. I had one Connie Tag me with the Indifat a bit away from him and the second Connie was way back there. I had 68 lbrs on my stern for the reason to keep little small ships off my stern. I wasn't even trying to demast the Connnie I was just shooting center sails to destroy his sails. Using ball mostly as he was out of range for chain most the time but did drop a few rounds of that into his sails. When the tagged started I put a full broad side of balls into his sails from the start (my load in screen to forever I didn't even get a chance to change my prepared guns to chain). So I knew his mast and sails where prob hit a good bit and should be damaged or where they cause at that distance what is the connies mast thickness? Mast thickness for ships in fight. Indifat 113 Connie 113 l'Ocean 131 Not taking into account any other gun than the 68 lbr I have on my stern this it's pens 50m 121 100m 112 250m 82 anything after that is prob going ot be very ineffect as the 500m is 23 an don't even think you could with good tilt get it out that far. So both the Connie and Indifat have the same mast thickness but I assume diffrent HP. I got a good broad side on the conner when he tried to turn and get my sails with sail shot so he backed off just as the Idifat got in rang of me. The connie was down to 80 something sails from my 68 lbrs beating on his sails. I'm going to assume all those mast shots didn't do crap for damage (log listed like 3 points) so all they did was sails and not mast though I saw splinteres every where hitting the center main mast crows nest. I did the same with the Indifat unitl I got his sails down to the high 80's . By the time the third connie caught up I was at 70% sails so I popped my sails repair. I got a good hit on it's board side toowith double charge. We started to brawl some as I pulled form them with new sails. Since there was only 5 mins left on the game timer before server went down and the connie was pushing on me I decided to have some fun and board him. My friendly AI fleet that was close and pulled in had also caught up to us and joined the fight. I neded up boarding one connie and than pulling away from the other two whent he server went down. No lost for any one since we all where sent back to friendly port when server comes up, but in that fight I keep hitting the Indifat in the mast over and over with those 68 lbrts at about 100+ meters. What is the point of having that cannon back there to defend from stern campers now if we can't pen them? I wasn't expecting to break the connies mast just wanted to slow him down since he was a 4th rate, but a 5 rate I would expect that multi hits to the same part of the mast should be doing some damage to it. With it's current thickness now I can't pent them and do nothing but damage to sails. Now the guys had been smart they should of just fall back to 250 range and they could of ate at my sails all they want from a safe distance, but they didn't. So far the only time I seen folks complain about demasting has been in duels. Duals aren't OW and not the normal for most PvP fights. We should not be making changes off duels as the majority of the players don't go for a demast they go for sails as it's a lot more easy to take some one sails down in a fight with multi targets and friendlies than it is to just demast them. -

The time to win with capture was all ready to fast with two zones, it's even faster with three. There needs to be something to stop the capture time other than having more ships in there. Other games have it that if you get shot you don't con't for the time. Port battles are going to be nothing but small fast ships you race to the caps and win. Make it more like 30 mins and put more on kills than capping. I'm sorry the fist PB we had no on was killed and most of us didn't even get a couple of broad sides off. It was nothing a race to cap in a LINE SHIP port battle. You might of lost a lot of players cause of theat. Now it's pointless to bring SOL for a lineship battle, instead you need to bring a bunch of speed ships. These battles are nothing but races just like your first EVENTS where. We struggled to get half our numbers to even show cause of these new PvP events brought back PvP and now your making even the stupid PvE grind to get Port battles to only have a race and not a fight. Port Battles should be about the fight not the race for some stupid zones. You should not be able to win by only capping. It should like the War Supplies only count for 50% of the capture points. The rest should be from actually fighting. Make each zone count for 25% of the total points you can earn. When you max out that zone doesn't earn any more points but you don't loose them either. This will get the PvP back into the Port battles too. I like the fact you have to bring a mix of ships. FIX THE BATTLE WINDOWS. US PVP2 players can not fight during our prime time and you should not have any battles scheduled during time that can be down for maintenance. The window right now is stupid. It needs to be changed from no battles between 0400 UTC to 0900 UTC. 0900 is one hour after maintenance start and gives you no time to set up so it's a bad time. If there is an update than that is up to one hour the port battle will be lost. So to fix this the timers should be set to 0600 UTC to 1100 UTC that no battles can be done. Though Ideally 0800 UTC to 1300 UTC would prob be the best time as It puts the server up time more into the SEA/AUSS prime time for port battles more away from any down time for servers. Look at when you have the events and that even tells you that if we can't have port battles during those events than your timers are set wrong since people in those prime times should be able to fight just like any one else. Remember folks this game is needing to be designed for a future high pop not the current low pop of testers. -

I hear the wistle jsut fine so not sure what your problem is. That and you can normally tell when people are board fit. Learn what guns are on most ships and what there reloads are. If they are reloading way slow they are prob baord prep or set up. Just don't slow down either.

You know ya'll all ways had the numbers, it was NPG that never showed up in proper ships or help out. We would watch them show up in 4th rates in Line ship battles or bring grey ships to shallow. Than they wonder why they get sunk. Than after Port battle they will be out with there 1st rates grinding fleets. It's not our problem y'all couldn't get organized and roll in fleets or come out and help each other. It's one of the many reason I left the US nation. The brits are just as bad. They don't support and help each other. You dont' know how many times we have tagged a first rate to watch numbers almost twice as ours run and leave the battle and the first rate alone. That sounds more like you where in a bad nation/clan than a gank issue of boarding. But you shouldn't have ot worry about that any more you got good old US and Brits to watch ya'lls back. We all ready know there past track records. Maybe you won't get ganked in the future with you new nation.

Yah normally if you 5 vs 1 your prob screwed any way. I'm wondering when he ever got ganked too. Cause ever fight i been with him or seen other clan mates been in they had more numbers than we did so it wasn't even a gank.

You mad bro? I mean only ganks I been seeing is from your little alliance. We use boarding to equal the numbers out fast against ya'll. I'm sorry most of ya'll kinda suck at fighting PvP. Take some boarding axes and learn to not get caught in the wind or slow down. You little magic button is just that. Most ships wasn't full of marines and fighting men that know how to board so a good crew that knows how to will out grappled and pull ships faster than an untranded even more crew ship. That and those thisp many of the crew should be on the guns or sails if they are not dedicated boarders or marines. Sounds like to me your just a PvE upset your actually going have to learn to fight instead of using magic perks like DD and cowards which have both been removed. You do know the minimal group is the PvPers that bring the game it's life. It's the PvErs that are killing this game with there little care bear stuff. I mean you get to now telport with your cargo if you escape. That has care bear all over it. Don't even have to be on the open world for long. Just tag a trader and go off to a friendly port to get you closer to where you want and out of danger. Cry me a river and just keep up the QQ I'm sure they will put something back in for you.

The battle was 21 mins into it and we had 9 mins to get logged in and to the starting point. Some of us couldn't even get in (that is why they got ganked out side). IT was a bad mechanic on the devs to not give a heads up warning that there will be a patch so we can arrange better ships. We came to fight a normal old school port battle not the new one. That and we had to go against the wind to even get from where we spawned in when the server came back upt. Don't blame us for the devs doing something stupid. Not to mention there should never be Port Battles where there is maintenance time. We can't even get fights during US prime time cause it won't let you. That is why we had to flip the ports after server comes back up. You can't have any port battles after 8pm CST. So you have to flip by 10pm CST. Prime time is 8-10 PM and that was when we use to have our port battles. Now we can't and ya'll keep doing them around 5-6pm when most folks are getting home from work. Hell West coast players it's 3-4pm so many of them are still at work or school. The devs need to fix these port battle times for one. Four two that port battle should been pushed to the next day not half way started when folks where logged in. If we had not staged our self out side we would never had made it there in time to even do the port battle. Ya'll did not beat us, bad game mechanics allow ya'll to win. With what ya'll brought I'm going to bet ya'll prob would of been crushed in a normal port battle on the old system, but that is in the past. Not like we care any more after this crap most of us aren't returning. We been trying so hard to get players back and now ya'll got this stupid Top three nations Alliance and won't fight each other. Have fun with your PvE server. Cause that is all it is. I won't even be planing to show up to PvP events cause why should we come when ya'll have no one else to fight?
