Le Reqin (Xebec) New Tease Picture
Sir Texas Sir replied to Fluffy Fishy's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
wait what you think the reward for the Tutorial will be? This would fit right in that range lol -
Man you seriously have an unhealthy fascination with @Christendom. I mean very much on the level of stalking man. You really might want to look into getting some help for that man. It's like the main thing that comes out of your mouth almost 99% of the time is something about him.
-
They need to bring back any one can attack you with it on and it makes a pirate free for all lol
-
This what I see half the time only one side does all the work and when it’s time for the other to man up they are no where to be found.
-
That funny cause the loot was pretty much the same. You can drop the weight of them and call them something else, but it was the exact same rewards I got the last time I open a treasure fleet chest. Minus the cannons though. In any MMO the whole point of doing EPIC events/Dungeons is to get better gear than you all ready have. If the rewards are lesser gear than it's not worth it. That is why I proposed keeping the silver chest as just loot drop, but if you finish kill all 9 ships every one should get one epic chest with the better loot for there reward of finishing the mission. When you open the chest and get a few mods not even the rare ones and 5th rate notes of common craftable ships when your fighting 4th rates than that isn't rare or epic at all. The folks that could use those 5th rates are the folks that can't do these epic events. That would be good prize for maby a shallow water epic event.

Stealing the wind
Sir Texas Sir replied to blubasso's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
In other words control the wind (best wind) of the battle you tend to have an advantage. Though there was means to steal wind RL but it's not something put into game. Even than you have to be right on some one's arse to do such any way. -
Yah we did one tonight with 5 Tanked out Aggys two being board fit and an Ingermanland. I prob was the one that came closes to sinking (never lost all armor) cause I was doing the tanking and drawing fire but we covered each other well. It was 9 ships made up of Aggy's, Connies, Ingermanland and Connies. They where tanky, agil, fast and hard hitting. As for the 9 silver chest it was nothing but mod mats, 2 ship notes, and 2 books. We honestly after that fight wasn't to impressed with the rewards. It was bascily the same things you get from the treasure fleets. I did get 200K gold 2K xp and 20 combat marks, but the xp means nothing to me since I'm maxed rank and my Aggy is open all 5 slots. We really need free xp to redeem and use for other ships once your maxed out. Honestly it was more trouble than it was worth as it took us a long time to find even a mission and than had to hope it was still there later today when we got the numbers to go do it. We plan to do a 1st rate now with the same set ups and will report back on the rewards. There is a rumor that if you kill all 9 ships you got an epic chest and it had a really nice reward in it, but apparently not. They should of done something like that where if you kill all you get a special reward. Also 9 chest to be split between 6 chars? Not exactly a fair exchange. @admin @Ink are the chest we get from these events suppose to be basicly the same ones you get from the treasure fleets? Cause that is what they felt like. Oh and if you have a chest on your it tags you in OW so that any one can tell you have them. That I don't think is good cause than folks can steall your hard earned loot. IF it's going to mark you the reward honestly needs to be higher. It wasn't a snatch and run like the treasure fleets are.

New Player Exeprience - 3 v 1???
Sir Texas Sir replied to SKurj's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
I think one of the problems i been seeing is folks don't understand that fleet missions are meant to be done with a fleet. Maybe drop the first two rank fleet missions and only allow you to do them one you get a certain rank or something? If you remove the missions we need more AI in OW, I actually wouldn't mind seeing more low level AI to be honest. I'm trying to grind up some small ships and it's a pain when I want to try to find good mods from OW ships. -
Patch 16: Control, Mast and Ship strengths rebalance.

Your going to make me use my one Elite Spanish aren't you? lol -
When you go through the turtorial you should be neutral and get to pick you nation when you finish. Players with a nation all ready just skip this part. You will have the main starting nations that are easy to hard: US, GB, SPAIN, FRANCE, DUTCH, DANES, SWEDES. Than you will have the hard core nations: Prussia, Russia, Poland that don't have capitals. Than last you have the pirates....which should not be able to pick at start. We need to go back to the old way that you became a pirate. You become one in game. Pirates work out of neutral, freetowns and a few perm pirate havesn (Kidds, Mort, Tortuga....history has certain ports that was pirate havens). They don't do RvR just OW PvP and what ever else they want. If they want to return to a nation than they have to us the DLC STEAM forge papers to do so.
-
Kinda off what @Jake Newport said it might be nice if clans can have some tabs to click for what type of clan they are: RvR, PvP, PvE, Merchant/Trade Clan. New Player friendly. Open for recruitment Stuff like that that new players can look at search. Clans will also need a recruitment role. Like officers but only power would be to add folks to clan nothing else. Oh and we really need freaking clan logs of the warehouse.
-
Swedes: 6 Prussians: 2 Pirates: 3+ but they are on the edge and most are deep water ports not in the proper shallow regions. French: 2 US: 1 GB: 14 ports......that is more than all the others combine pretty much and you wonder why your getting attacked? I would like to add all 14 are also owned by one clan. When you look at the other nations they have mix clans that own the ports. I'm pretty sure that is what makes you a prime target in that region.
-
Shallows are your best bet, but the problem is when you got one or two nations that own all the ports and some folks camp the only free town less and less folks will sail int that area. You British so that could be a problem for you not finding many folks to fight since you own most of the ports in that area. Still folks hunt in it. It would be nice if we can get some more nations to hold shallow water ports in that region so lower level players and even higher levels that like small ships can have bases to fight from without worry about the shroud cay camping by others.
-
I don't think it's that many Ausies, but I did notice a lot of ports have that timer set as I was looking for targets...I mean just admiring the great map work in game. Did a bit more looking and notice CKA which is a US/Canadian clan with mainly East Coast players. They always attacked us early in the day when they get home but most of the other US is at work still. Wonder why they didn't pick a US prime time window instead?

Patch 16: Control, Mast and Ship strengths rebalance.
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
You sure your not suppose to shoot chain into the water? I mean doesn't it like activate some super carebear powers or something I heard? As much as I tease you for not running a certain perk A good proper chain at start of a battle if you got a good tag can make a battle very short when some one can't run and get distance or has to use there repairs straight off at the start of the battle. -
Patch 16: Control, Mast and Ship strengths rebalance.
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
As @maturin mention they are put on the ships according to the design of the ship. So they aren't in the same place for all ships. I do know where a few are to give higher chance of mag hits, but it's normally the fire that blows them up as very rarely if not at all do we get instant booms any more. I think the last ship I seen blown up was a Rattler (not heavy) that I lit on fire in a battle so yah it's bene a while since they removed the rattler from OW ships if that tells you anything. Now fires-fireshock mag blows are a different story. I'm honestly suprised some one hasn't came up with a link with the hit box for the ships yet for things like the mag and other internal HIT box. Not something to be used in game per say like a mod, just pictures of the ships and the general location of things like the Mags and Pumps so you know if you want to hit the a ship you aim for a certain area of that ship. -
We really need to archieve a bunch of these threads.....why is any one posting in ad PVP EU thread? There isn't a EU server any more we have one server;)

Patch 16: Control, Mast and Ship strengths rebalance.
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
What ships that are made of wood can explode or catch on fire? NAH CAN'T BE? I actually wonder if any one has ever gotten a mag hit on a mortar brig shot? I mean I done some mean damage, but never blew some one up like that and you think it would happen more with a ball being dropped into the mag lol Yah I awalys thought it was silly and some folks won't waist the 1 point for preppared to have other things, it's saved my life so many time. It should be something you learn as you rank up. Along with the control perk, but maybe make it 500m range and if you take the perk it extends it to the 750m or something more. I just hope we never see that coward perk, nothing piss you off more than getting a ship mast/sails down and than moving to board it and right when you are about to get the G it leaves even though you can almost reach out and touch it but you haven't shot it or done damage in a bit. That was always very stupid and game breaking for me. What you can do is stay in boarding until his crew puts the fire out, than finish him off. I done this many times when some one is trying to blow there ship up. I just rage board them and either wait until the fire out or it's burned down enough of the ship to be an instant sink than I finish him off. Just cause you win a board should not mean you instantly put a fire out. -
Patch 16: Control, Mast and Ship strengths rebalance.
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
I would start out around 15 secs to be honest as that is a very long time if your in a fight to have your sails locked, 1 min is an insane amount of time. Though watching folks crash into each other and such is going to be funny. Yah I don't want some silly J-k pop MMO interface that is all bling bling, but something better than the Win 98 screw would be nice. As long as they add port info I would be happy. BR for Port battles, who ownes the port and what you can craft and such should be on the main page of the port. Oh and the tax rate for that port should be listed too. Stuff that we have all over the place that should be in one place for you to see when you enter port and know straight off about that port. -
NO it's use upon click only. Remember most of this stuff they gave us to test things, if we don't need to test them any more than there is no reason for us to still have them. So folks redeem your ships or loose them. Are do what I plan to do, go down in blaze of glory and prob get most of my older redeem ships sunk lol
-
While funny I have heard many version of this in other locations, but in 1997 she would of been in port on the west coast of the US and no where near this location. I was on the USS Independence around this time getting ready to get out of the military.

Patch 16: Control, Mast and Ship strengths rebalance.
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
You can shoot just behind the anchor on the conny and demast it that way. Same with some other ships if you aim for the hull area where the mast is you can do the same. It's been like this for a while. So your saying they shoot like me? LOL I actually done this to make it look like bad rakes when I was really going for the mast. The guy was laughing saying my aim was so bad and than next broad side his mast drop....rushed in and boarded him for the kill...lol
