  1. All i ask is that we don't balance this with a perk. Nobody can deal with fifty shades of angry maturin.
  2. I'm okay with this. Or, then we can discuss the general RoE mechanics with all ships and all players in the equation. Control perk messes with general ship balance, fast or slow and in particular chasers or no. You tease! Timers, exit timers and related mechanics, and determined defender has such a big impact on the game I'm extremely skeptical about having them as optional perk toggles. Open development is a blessing and a curse, but I don't need to tell you this, Socrates. A tiny little story: WoT has always had the problem with arti. Good players hate it and others may not. But balance apart from arti cancer was pretty good with a really good player at the head of the balance department. Zlobny I believe he was called. He quit (possible drama) and some other dude advanced to his position and things started to slide. A while ago they brought in another good player to head the balancing department. Just gonna let this sit here. We use this expression in Norway (prolly inherited from some other dude in some other country...): "The tyranny of the majority".
  3. You may be right. I willfully ignore the magical and RoE changing perks for the time being in anticipation of their removal
  4. For OW activities everything pivots on chasers. Who has ever been caught by an Essex, Belle or even Reno?
  5. ^literally all it takes.I run traders without guns as an extra speed mod. To effectively tag and catch a trader with a clue you need a fir surp with all possible speed mods. Rattles too, but if you run with guns those are no problem.
  6. You have incriminated yourself! I would have played World of Naval Action probably more than I play now. But if we're going to have OW it needs to make sense. With 30 min timers the OW is reduced to an extremely clunky lobby for WoNA with an entirely insane matchmaker queue.
  7. I'm almost giving up hope, with this amount of misguided whinage we might get long timers and all kinds of weird perks. Oh, well. Back to port hiding, decoy ships and countergenk stronk tektiks. (You loved that stuff, didn't you?) In a month all the misguided whining will be about that^^, then change RoE back to what we have now, and lastly I'm quite confident we will have gone full swing back to whining about "I can't help my friends, 2 min timers aren't fun". This is how much I trust the judgement of the "I don't like closed instances" crowd.

I agree with him in that you should never, like, never ever put something on a frigate that makes it go slower (I may live in sin slapping masts on some of mine. But, hey! Noone's perfect.) [edit] I'd make you a perfect trinco too if it wasn't for RNG-portclicking. It's very sad, but the best ships are all but reserved for an elite of portclickers and clanners. There is no shortage of golden stiffness, now is there?

  15. "Player run economy" does sound nice... But is it viable? Do we have the critical mass of PVE loving players to make it work? I'm a lvl 50 crafter but I only portclick when I really have to or want to help buddies. I still work under the assumption that the majority of players coming to this game are, first and foremost, fun-loving fighters.

  16. Who does that?! The guys on PVE server can choke on a billion-million bots for all we care. What happens on the PVE server is of no consequence for PVP players.

  19. Sure thing: "Dear devs, I want NA to be as realistic, tactical and skill based as possible even with the necessary break between OW and instance time." Are you prepared to say things as they are? That because you're "annoyed" and impatient to find a fight, you want time and distance to not matter at all? That skill or situational awareness should be made pointless?

  21. Stahp! It's about what kind of PVP we want. Some people want free for all, king of the hill style and chaotic pile-ons instead of skill based OW situational awareness and battles.
