Хождение по земле никогда не обещалось, во всех описаниях игры наземное присутствие не планировалось. В ЕВЕ хождение по станциям отсутствовало первые 6 лет игры (если не больше). Да и после введения мало что поменяло. Выпьем же за то чтобы желания совпадали с возможностями. ps В экспедицию будете посылать офицера или исследователя. В зависимости от ее сложности он будет возвращаться через определенное время.

в альфе будет глобал на всех в релизе посмотрим, но пока план не иметь никакого общения с вражескими нациями. Так как гарантирован срач.

Суши не будет. Это по сути вторая игра, которая существенно подкосила ПОТБС и сожрала 70% ресурсов разработки. Квестов тоже пока не планируется.

Пиратской нации не будет Пиратские порты будут (уже есть) Метью таун будет но жить пираты скорее всего будут на северных багамах (там спокойнее) Чат думаем отрубить как во многих успешных играх. С врагом говорить будет нельзя.. только махать., шапкой или носком Захватывать корабли смогут все -

Swivels will be done (after EA opens) If you all agree to lack of visual support of musket gunfire (no physical marines standing on deck and firing) we can implement it within a week. It will be as realistic as possible but making animated marines will delay other things.-

Темп никогда не устраивает ни нас ни игроков.. Нужен хоттабыч но его нет. Про звездного гражданина можно поспорить конечно )) но проект если получится будет шикарный. Собирать будем! Вот вот откроется кнопка пожертвования. PS Если вы прямо очень очень хотите попасть в Sea Trials то просим написать на info (at) game-labs.. они могут помочь.

'Small ships' armament - being fair?

Weaponry is currently limited by 1) First by historical limits - if Victory did carry 42lb at some time and it is a hard limit in Naval Action. 2) Second by model of cannons relative to the ship or port size. We currently don't place cannons that do not fit the ports or touch other ship parts. And we don't have time to increase options. That is actually a reason why some ships can carry carronades on stern or don't have chase guns.. - its just cannon models don't fit anywhere. Once we break the mental model that some guns can be invisible OR can be smaller visually - the range of weaponry can become fully historical in 24 hours -
It is being integrated in the open world build. Sea trials will stay on the old model for comparison and testing the differences (if needed)

User Interface Ideas (Updated 3.20.15)

topic pinned to top.. the current UI strategy is the following. We will bring more elements into the game and after we have a full clarity on what information we (and players) want on the screen we will then finalize it. Would like to discuss couple of changes we are thinking about. 1) We want to reduce the number of buttons: For example.. currently there are 4 buttons offer reload (1 2 3 4). What we can do is this.. replace it with one button (guns - press 1) it will bring up a separate screen with detailed gunnery management. with clicks and drop down ammo selections + deck locks (that are done by f1 -f4).. this will free up some space + free up 7 buttons. You will still be able to press buttons consequentially if you need.. for example.. Press 1 for gun interface press 1 for gun deck press 3 for chain which automatically close the window (1-1-3). On the other hand it is a popup and might get annoying if you switch ammo often. Same can be done for crew management.. instead of having 3 buttons you will have 1 button crew (press 2) pop up screen and then click on the crew focus. this pop up window for detailed ship management will be useful only if additional functions are added.. if not current system is less obtrusive. 2) What do you think of War thunder system of damage indication? which shows damage to the enemy only when it happens and does not show its state. -

The purpose of the forum is open discussion of ideas. We suggest to discuss the topic and proposals instead of the person . I would also say that some ideas that you might consider crazy could turn into great features if twisted properly and polished. But yes.. Krakens won't happen. PETA covers Krakens i think. -

Paid escorts (NPC or Player) based is step one in this direction. NPC escorts will be controllable through the commader tablet (it is already prototyped and will be finished as one of next steps)

Single or Multiple Characters per account ?

Adding slots is easy and cheap in the current technology environment. The only concerns about the accounts are cross teaming, exploiting and trolling. Initial thinking is this (we said it before) One account, One nation We currently reserve 3 slots for the player, but honestly don't see reasons for the third one, because we don't lock you into any class. So most likely the player will use 1 account for the national gameplay and make a second one a pirate. During testing this might change. -
некий классификатор качества игрока. может включать в себя многое.. с течением времени видоизменяется. в него могут входить процент побед в пвп процент побед в портовых битвах прочие полезные коэффициенты, как соотношение нанесенного урона к потерям, победы над кораблями выше классом, выигранные абордажи и так далее.

Вы не правильно прочитали то, что указано в выданной нами линке: АР это рейтинг. Это не очки на битву. Это процент выполнения приказов командира боя. Он не будет иметь огромного веса, но будет участвовать в расчете приглашения. (пока это конечно идея). Получить их можно в открытом море воюя в группе. Желание нового игрока немедленно попасть в портовую битву удовлетворять не стоит. Только что созданный игрок не умеющий вообще ничего, и не показавший, что он готов выполнять приказ адмиралу на портовой битве не нужен. В стадо баранов или стадоттвинков можно поиграть в ПОтБС бесплатно.
