  3. That's not a bad idea actually. So far, I've placed 3,275th in the TransAt, and 2,628th in Leg 3 of the Clipper Round the World.

  12. Unfortunately, this is not possible right now. There will be a wipe before Early Access which will allow you to choose a name you prefer.
  13. There is no mechanic to experience the game prior to playing it. We are still in a very early testing phase, and right now we need to attract people who are willing to contribute to the game's development by pre-ordering a copy of the game, and then testing the features and balance on which development is focusing. While there may be a time in the future when there is some sort of demo (I don't know if there will be or not, to be clear), for now, the game isn't in a finished state, so allowing people to "try" the game doesn't make a lot of sense. The Developers are currently working extremely hard to get the game to a point where it can go into Early Access, which is also why you likely have not received a reply. However, if you want to test during this phase, you will need to purchase a copy of the game when the Developers decide that you are someone who will contribute to the testing.
  14. For the purposes of the meta-game, PvE and PvP should be entirely separated on two different servers. Being able to just fold your clan into an area where you can grind freely, then transport those gained resources back over to the PvP side removes a large portion of gameplay that revolves around economic warfare and resource denial. Keep the two paradigms completely separate, separate resources, assets, rank, etc. Those who are entirely risk averse can enjoy the full content of the game on the PvE server, and those that want action against other players, and all of the great gameplay that comes from the meta-game surrounding that action can play on the PvP server.
  15. The developers attempted a false flag feature, but found (prior to it being released to the public) that it didn't work well. They asked for the community to weigh on in a way to do it well, without allowing the ability to grief or loopholes that could be abused, and a few of us took a stab at the feature. I myself put in a fairly detailed proposal, but even after a lot of thought there were still problems with it. While I won't say "never", it's currently not a feature that is being considered to the best of my knowledge.   16. No sufficient system has been figured out to do this well. As far as I know, this feature is not planned for the game. Search the forum for the appropriate thread.
  17. To be absolutely honest, I don't believe we'll be seeing early access in the next 6 weeks. Nobody outside of Game-Labs themselves really knows though.

  20. Try emailing Game Labs at the address on the Naval Action web site. Write about what you'd bring to the testing process, and why you'd be excited to help develop the game. You might just receive instructions from there.
