Ping can be very low but connection having a lot of latency issues with critical amount of data being lost or out of synchronization. The causes can be immense but from experience, especially on Arma servers it is always on the client end ( including ISP ). We did have to filter out players ( from a bare metal 250 player server hosted on a Gig line ) which had excellent pings but their data loss would hit 10k packs at times delivering lag to everyone ( arma runs with synchronization to the lowest in the render bubble ). This to say, check thoroughly your system. If it is Windows 10 there's a lot of network services running which you might not need.

I like how the "Officer" works as a mechanic of specialization instead of being an asset. It makes deciding if you want to focus more on Maritime Trading or Naval Architect or War Navy Captain. -

Grouping up with other pirates, as we do sometimes, is exactly the point over fleets. I am always delighted to see players escorting their buddies. It shows the social aspect of the game is alive and well outside the brawls and PBs. -

I did record two consecutive combats versus a pirate hunter that was using a fleet privateer with him. Retreated in the first being bracket'ed by both in a bad spot and then re-engaged forcing him to run away and lose the NPC privateer. Was a marginal victory but overall I'd say he could've done way better without the fleet. Both rounds revolved about him letting the NPC do the combat for good. He learned nothing. Do I care ? Well... it is annoying. The OW would be better without fleets. Smart traders travels with the roaming NPCs already, we exchange some lines in the chat and salute each other a unsafe trip and we go our separate ways -

Both situation have their merits. To me it never bothered me much, just had to plan in advance the area of operations. For a Nation, well, everything would be happening around the Capital because of the Teleport back. Truth be told we had flags which will cease so the entire scenario might change a lot IF teleport of ships would be removed and naval bases had to be planned by the nation's admirals and councils -

Real life patterns on the caribbean are very very stable with little drastic variations except the hurricane season. As a general rule sail West through the South, and to the East through the Bahamas and then down the island chains. Given the "migration" patterns of players the time taken to sail anywhere would be tripled. -

That is a long text and can indeed be condensed to some groups engaging whomever. It could be pirates and it can happen anytime if your nation is at war with any other nation other than the black. Any of the high ranks did anything or did they just ignore the pleads for help ? Easy to blame mechanics to excuse players decisions. I see every single day high ranks doing the most miserable mistakes and leaving many of their nation companions in the mud. Oh and Traders have no ranks. -

I was expecting the Spanish Inquisition Two on one... !? Let's game then. In normal circumstances this would be a hairy spot. The Lynx is like an apache knife fighter. Two are murder in the right hands...so I had to play the "surprise mo****ers" game and gain the upper hand right from the start. Trader Snow ! C'mon ! One of first prizes during last night raid down at Jamaica and Cays. Was a good warm up for the rest of the raid. Take what you can, leave nothing behind A perfect ambush. RN coast guard thought it would be one raider but we kept the second in the shade. Me. Problem is, upon taking the prize, a very nice and fully laden trader with silver, stone and redwood, it would be a question of risking taking the entire prize and lose it back by being captured by the RN coast guard outside or take what we could and stay safe... decisions decisions... what a fumble !... The final capture of the night while making our way back to the pirate haven. It end with me letting the prize go while trusting on a pvp capture mechanic. We were unsure of it but decided to test if it works... it doesn't. Lesson learned.- 829 replies

That would be wowowowow hang yer mules son.... given we can already pump raiders flying over 16 knots at best wind and 11 at not so good wind... which is very much the result of stacking every single piece of gear and perks. So with 1.5 on top... lololol -

Hur hur hur... RN couldn't save a full score of traders in their own waters. Two of them fully laden with goodies. Was a very good sortie I must say and did prove the earlier reconnaissance for trade routes and prime time for traders to be moving about ( notes taken ). My advice, in all sarcasm is: - keep hugging the coast at safe distance from the ports and leaving them poor sods to their fates - keep sending brig types to chase schooners. I see you talk the talk but can't make the walk even if anyone is surely asking for help on Nation. I bet you can't be bothered. No offense but you mistake fleet and squadron combat with piracy and while you are fighting Sorry ( go Brits! ), many others are just making hell to your traders which is fine with us. Your labour hours, your plantations, our profit. -

It is the first iteration to test the system. If you look to the full implementation votes get to be tied to Lords which are tied to performance in combat amongst other things. Ease out and let everyone have a go at it during the testing of the system. You will have your opportunity to try to fight for a seat on the Lords chamber. Whether you will make it or not rests to be decided. Words will be empty without the actions to back it up. Damn, glad I changed to the black. Nothing to worry about but my own crew vanity and greed. -
Given many Oceanic fellows play on PvP1, plenty of US, and overall Russians with their 6 timezones as well I risk to say there's no issue with ping that affects decisively pvp or port battles ( let's dismiss individual players ISP choices as some are playing from the backcountry using sattelite ). Still, and putting aside technical performance and service quality, the best option is the middle ground and in the eventuality of a merge stick everything on US.
